We walked in with 13 people. The staff was great. Good burgers and wraps.

The service wasn’t great. The driveway was an ice skating rink. The food was good. We had chicken wings that were some of the best I’ve ever had. My husband had the cod dinner and it was excellent. I had the perch and it was ok. The coleslaw was flavorless. Overall, we were satisfied and will definitely go back.

A group of friends and I spend a weekend each year up at our friend’s cabin in Minocqua, and the Yacht Club is usually one of the stops I look forward to. However, I may not be back after our visit this past weekend. You would think when a group of guys is just standing at the bar in the middle of the day, it would be pretty easy to get noticed. Not the case apparently. We waited for around 10 mins just to get a few pitchers. A couple of us ordered food inside, then decided we would rather sit outside in the sun; a fact which we politely notified our server about. She gave us plastic cups to put our beers in and we went outside. She came out a little later and told us our food was ready«inside». We asked her if we could have it served to us at our outside table and received an aggressively sassy«yea» in reply. In the end, our friends who were still inside ended up bringing out most of our food. They also told us they overheard our server telling another server to «keep an eye on us» because she thought we were«wasted». If she thought we were«wasted» after just a few beers each, I can’t imagine how she handles the night shift… If you like decent food, a good setting, bad service and being labeled a drunkard after a few beers, this is the place for you.

We were here for fish fry. They had three different kinds of fish plus shrimp and some salads and appetizers. The food was good and the service was excellent. Highly recommended !

I was here on a very slow night so you’d think you’d get attentive service. Not so. The meal was served promptly, and the popcorn shrimp were quite good, but from behind my back my server later yelled«how’s that shrimp?» — A conversation that I’d have preferred to have face to face. Nobody returned to offer me a second beer, so after I was done, I stood up to convey the message«ready for the check» — when she finally arrived she asked if I wanted any change. I told her I’d rather first get a check. I’d likely return to check out more food, but they really need to work on their service.

The cheese curds were amazing and the sandwiches were cooked perfectly. As a bonus they bring the deserts out already made so if you want to get one you don’t have to wait. On top of all that, the service might have been the friendliest I have ever had. Even the view was perfect. I strongly recommend you stop by for lunch.

We’ve always stopped here to fill up the boat, but never to eat! I was pleasantly surprised at the deliciousness of our food. Granted, it’s traditional bar food and clearly majority frozen, but they did a great job of making it taste fresh. We got the potato chip crusted chicken tenders and they were great! Same with the fries and coleslaw. We also had an appetizer of their Italian cheese curds … also delicious … but they’re not Italian by any stretch, except that they come with marinara. We came early so service was good. Drinks and food came out at a rapid pace. Our bartender, however, was sweet but a little spacy. She messed up our bill twice … could be because she was hanging in the corner chatting with her friend the whole time. We’d come again if we’re super hungry and want a nice view of the lake. There’s other better places to go in the area, but we’d definitely come back.

I always stop at the Yacht Club for a meal when I’m in town. The sandwiches are great and you can’t beat the view from the outdoor picnic area overlooking Lake Minocqua.

This place is dangerous. I saw an old man that works there cursing at some young, handsome kids who were trying to be Eco friendly and recycle their bottles and cans. He was yelling and swearing in front of families and children! The place gets extra demerits for its uncleanliness. There was a trash bag from McDonald’s in the parking lot as well as a Budweiser floating in front of my pontoon. It’s too bad he wouldn’t let those nice kids recycle, that’s probably how the beers ended up in the lake. Those kids were way cool and stylish and I’m sure have loads of friends. In contrast, the old man was sad. Plus he had bad teeth. He probably has zero friends.

My travel companions picked this place. It had been a long day of training and we wished to keep it simple: sammiches and dwinks. Well, sammiches and dwinks we got. I have been on a very long quest for the perfect Reuben and the perfect Bloody Mary. Both were outstanding at this establishment. The menu was mostly typical bar & grill fare, though there were a few surprises such as a blue gill dinner and a mahi mahi wrap. Everyone in our group seemed to really like their food. The fatigue we were experiencing may have influenced our perceptions, but I would definitely go back if I were in the area.

We spent last weekend participating in ice-Frisbee golf, and this bar seems to house a majority of the event. They served a great lunch for everyone that was there for the event, so we did not have to order off the menu. If the regular food is anywhere as good as the buffet, I would eat there. It was really busy, and you could tell they were a bit short on staff, as the owner was running around clearing tables. I was a bit surprised at the prices, given that were were up-north, but they were at least strong. We had a blast, and I look forward to stopping back for the 4th of July.

Nice atmosphere, easy lake access, decent food. Service could be better. I stopped at the Yacht Club while boating at 3:00PM on the 3rd of July looking for a quick sandwich for me and a friend. The bartender told me the kitchen was closed and they weren’t serving any food until that night’s fish-fry(it was a Friday) at 6:00PM. I asked to speak with the owner to confirm this as I couldn’t believe that a restaurant in a seasonal tourist-based economy would really turn down business in the busy season. Sure enough, he just shrugged at me and told me that the bartender was correct. I can’t justify spending my hard-earned money at a business that clearly doesn’t understand basic principles of customer service on general principle. I have been back there, but only if I’m meeting others out that are already there, or for some reason have to be there.

Note that this bar is also in Unilocal as «Yacht Club», so these two should be merged if possible. You can’t beat the Yacht Club for on-water bar food in the Northwoods. The food is fairly good– basically anything grilled or fried, which is basically everything, is good. Philly Steak sandwich is surprisingly amazing. Classic apps like poppers, wings, fried mushrooms, etc., are all up to northwoods bar fryer standards. I love watching inexperienced and/or tipsy boaters attempt to dock and/or refuel their boats(including trying to figure out their classic old-school gas pump and super-long gas hose) at Albee’s. You just can’t pay for entertainment like that. Service is generally good and consistent. The manager/bartender guy there has been there for years, or at least it seems this way. I have fond memories of sitting in the sun, sipping cold beers, eating fried apps, and enjoying the lake view at this place. It’s terrific.

This place has the best ribs in town. And it overlooks the bridge and Lake Minocqua so it’s a great place to have a beer and eat and watch the sun go down. Be aware, the later it gets, the louder it gets. And your chances of running into people you went to high school with increases by 500%.
