Drove 40 min one way for a manicure for my daughter and I. When I made the appointment I asked to be next to each other since it was a first for both of us, well that didn’t happen:(Then as we got nails done the ladies not friendly and most of the time couldn’t even carry on a conversation with them because they were more intrigued with what the other was saying:/ I kept thinking it had to get better… nope! Just rushed threw no pampering here that’s for sure just a quick polish job and that’s all your getting! My daughter asked for a flower on her nail and it seriously looked like the art from a 3 year old can’t believe I even paid for this! I could go on and on about this place but will stop here! From now on will be doing our own nails!!! No manicures in our near future if this is what a manicure is very disappointing

My friend and I stopped in for a relaxing no chip mani and a pedicure. One of the women(I think the owner) was talking so loudly to a customer we considered bailing immediately. We should have. At one point, when referring to the deep purple nail polish my friend selected, the owner told a nail technician«I hate that color,» right in front of my friend. She continued to be loud and shout from her workspace about sales in the shop to other customers while we tried to relax. My no chip mani was messy and my cuticles were painted. It was all bad.

I have never been as desperate for a spa pedicure as I was these last few weeks. Silly me, while most of my mom friends were getting pampered and getting their feet sandal-ready on Mother’s Day, I ran a 5K. Then came work, then no babysitter. Then came the chance to get away to the Northwoods for a few days. Damn, am I ever going to get that pedicure? THANKYOUNAILSINTHEWOODS! My friend called up her usual salon but they could not fit me in for pedicure but told me to check the old train station shops – there was a nail salon there. Since they didn’t know the name, we just drove into town and hoped upon all hope that they take walk-ins. The gals were so friendly(they probably saw that my feet were NOT sandal ready and felt pity for me) and said they usually can accommodate walk-ins but they were booked solid that afternoon. But if I wanted to wait a few minutes and get a shorter pedi they could fit me in. YESSSSSSSS! It’s not just a nail salon, it’s also a cute boutique. They carry purses, scarves, sunglasses, home décor, and these cute flip-flops I purchased for my now sandal-ready feet. The nail area is neat and tidy. There is a nice selection of OPI and non-brand nail polish for you to choose from. From the signs posted, it looks like they can do no-chip manis too. They did a nice job on my toenails. I’ve had better pedicures with more spa offerings(like hot stone, hot towels, longer massages, etc) but for a quickie, neat pedi with some basic pampering, NitW was perfect.
