I came in here looking for a Mormon church and lo-and-behold I stumble upon a low-rent burger joint. No matter — I would rather eat a burger than listen to some religious nut talk about the Church of Latter-day Saints. Not that White Castle isn’t worthy of worship. The creator White Castle is credited with inventing the hamburger bun and the fast-food assembly line.(if I am to believe Wikipedia, and I always do) White Castle is a 24⁄7 operation! That’s the nicest thing I can say, other than courteous and prompt service. As for food, I ordered a Turkey slider with cranberry, a cheeseburger slider, and a chicken and waffle slider. The chicken and waffle slider was tasty and I would get it again! The other tidbits were mediocre at best, but best described as disappointing. I think the whole experience would have been better after a night-long escape involving cops, copious amounts of weed and a bengal tiger thrown in for good measure. Unfortunately, I was flying solo and had only a couple pints German lager helping me out. Seriously, though, I only came here because of Harold and Kumar and we don’t have White Castle in Boston. The mid-west can keep it! I’ll take Indian or Chinese food over steamy sliders any day of the week.

I have been here a few times for their late night slider meals. This is a fantastic place to go for when I get hungry late at night. There are not very many White Castles of which I have a fondness. Of all the White Castles to where I have ever been, this one ranks as one of the best ones. I always order my food inside and take it to go. The employees appear to have a good eye on cleanliness and order. They do a great job at keeping their lobby and their work area clean and spotless. I have never once had a problem with cleanliness here. The condiment area is always arranged well. I can access everything from that area with no problems. The employees are always friendly. Half of the late-night employees are there every time I am there, and some of them have started recognizing me when they see me. Therefore, I am always comfortable talking to them and taking my order with them. Usually, I need a minute or two to think about what value meal I want. They are always accommodating of that, and they always re-approach me the moment I am ready to take my order. The food is always delicious. I always order a pack of sliders with fries and a drink. The sliders are small in size so it takes multiple sliders to fill me up. I am glad that White Castle has value meals that include the multiple amount that fits my appetite and put in consideration the small size the individual sliders are. The food is always served to me hot and fresh. I have never had a problem with cold or soggy food. Anytime I am in the area and in need of some good late-night food, I will continue coming to this location for such. I feel like I can count on them to please my late-night food urges.

Oh, White Castle! How I love you! Your jalapeño cheeseburgers are best purchased in groups of ten. I was partial to the sweet potato fries with cinnamon dipping«sauce»(can you really call viscous sugar water a sauce though?), but alas, they’re seasonal. This particular location is best after a night of karaōke at the U Otter Stop Inn, a sleazy and cornball bar across the street

First time here at 28 years old. 4 sliders and fries as a meal-words can’t describe the experience. Fast service, very busy, just not my cup of tea.

Ok. I am going to start this review by saying the last time I ordered from here, my cousin and I spent $ 51.85. No joke. 2 people. $ 51.85. Apparently the drive-thru people thought our drunken argument over what to get meant order everthing they heard(Don’t worry, my fiancé was driving) We did end up with the most epic spread of WC deliciousness, however. The Crave is a real thing. Not just some smart marketing gimmick started by the Slider People. It creeps up on you… and there is nothing that can satisfy it other than genuine White Castle. 1am and the kitchen in the bar you are at *just* closed? White Castle. Want a way to ensure your hangover is the least of your worries in the AM? White Castle. Want to ensure the random you picked up at the bar is NOT going to spend the night? White Castle. This particular location has the honor of being the closest to the NE dive bars I like to frequent. Drive thru is efficient. Food is always tasty. One time, however, the drive thru was taking too long(MEHUNGRY) so I went inside and ordered a couple of chicken sandwiches and then went back out to my friends car who still had not made it to the window hahaha. By the way, they have Chicken Rings and Onion Nuggets!!! OHHOWCLEAVER!!!

You know what, when you crave White Castle, you CRAVE White Castle. Yes, this place might not be the cleanest, yes, it may not be the safest at 2am, and yes, those chicken rings are not normal occurrences in nature, but their Breakfast sandwiches? Phenomenal. I’ve been to fancy schmancy breakfast cafés and eaten breakfast in 5 star hotels but have yet to find a breakfast sandwich as good as their toasted English muffin sausage and egg sandwich. Maybe it’s the fresh cracked egg that I enjoy, maybe it’s eating it with tots, or maybe it’s the fact that it’s usually the first thing I eat in the morning so my standards are not as high yet but this bfast sandwich is unexpectedly on point. Other than that, their service is okay and their drive through speaker system is terrible. They almost always get part of my order wrong because again, their speaker system is terrible.

White Castle has breakfast now. You can get chicken-and-waffle sliders, which is exactly what it sounds like. They also have waffle sandwiches with eggs, sausage, ham. There is oatmeal. McDonald’s has its feelings hurt right now because the McGriddles are a pathetic imitation of the chicken-and-waffle slider. Also, the waffles could unironically be eaten on their own. It’s legitimate — I suggest adding syrup and Sriracha. White Castle quietly introduced this sandwich and basically slapped all other fast food breakfast in the face. Right now they have the single best fast-food breakfast item, and it is not even close. Look at my picture.

they have gotten too expensive for the quality/quantity you get. Every once in a while I get the craving for them and give in. They are pretty consistent from location to location. They are a good slider.

Drive through service is always very slow, even with no one in line. Last time I went they mis-understood me and thought I said, «medium Sprite» when I actually said, «medium fries.» This location is also very slummy at night, drunk, homeless, ghetto folk, stumbling around. There is also your standard group of old men that come in every day early in the morning and drink coffee the entire day. This is not reflected in my review, but years ago an old man came out during the day when I was pumping my bike tire full of air at the Hoilday next door, and he tried to steal my bike to no avail.

Big fan of white castle, the selection of sliders, and the price was very afforable. Living in VA and not being able to experience white castle. I gotta say they can feed u a lot of food. Def coming back. White Castle doesnt have the greatest burgers but I def know why its so popular in the Minnesota area.

This was the first White Castle I ever went to. Unless you count the frozen sliders in U.S. grocery stores(and I don’t), White Castle is only available in the East Coast and Midwest. Since I was in Minneapolis, I had to try a couple of sliders. They’re small, with grilled onions and just enough for a late night snack. While not great burgers, they’re quick and fill a need and like pork chop on a stick at the Minnesota State Fair, I had to try White Castle if for no other reason, the cultural experience of eating sliders there.

Has life been a little harsher to you than most lately? Have you wandered the city streets at night drunk, dejected, and alone? Are your only companions other washed up drunks who pretend they’re still in college by going on weekend-long benders at dive bars full of people half their age doing karaōke? Worse still, are your only companions drug-adled drifters who consider the highlight of their evening to be just having a warm place to sit? Have you lost the majority of your self-respect and no longer feel the need to take care of yourself physically or mentally? Do you– from time to time– sob heavily while eating? Have you lost all curiosity about the world you live in and choose to choke down bland corporate chain food that was 99% prepared in another time zone instead of partaking in one of the million great restaurants in this beautiful city? Have I got a place for you…

I’m not sure white castle is ever a 5 star dining joint, but we went here for valentines day last night and it was definitely a 5 star experience! They go all out — you have to make a reservation, they have the place decked to the nines with v-day stuff — table cloths, candles, flowers, cute decorations on the walls. All the staff is dressed nicely in vday colors and the service is excellent — they take your order, ask you what you want for apps, drinks, dinner, etc. Fun times! They also gave us a cheesecake on a stick for dessert and a little bag o heart shaped candies. Valentines day is a silly, spensive holiday — but white castle does it right! The food is still the same — my faves are the chicken rings, sweet potato fries and the jalapeño cheddar burgers.

This is definetely my favorite White Castle in Minneapolis, there are only 3 in the city and while I’m a fan of the food in general those other locations will sometimes not have as fresh of food. Whenever I’ve wen’t to this location the burgers and fries have always been hot and fresh. White Castle is one of those places that I find people usually either love or hate. I too feel something going on in my gut after eating at one of thier restaraunts, and while I don’t suggest coming here before a job interview or date, I don’t think it’s doing as much damage to your insides as it sounds. For me White Castle burgers are as good as chicken noodle soup for when I’m sick as they are one of the only things that agree with me when feeling under the weather. So, if it was that hard on the inner organs I don’t think that would be the case. I also like that the burgers aren’t loaded with grease like so many other fast food places out there, and this is the ONLY place I can eat a burger without ketchup. I credit that to the way the minced onions that come on them go with the meat. As much as I like it it’s still a big National Fast Food Chain and it means alot for me to even say I’m a fan of any of those kind of places. They won’t get 5 stars from me but I’ll give credit where credit is deserved. White Castle is open 24 hours which is extremely hard to find these day’s, especially for near Downtown, however only the drive thru operates on a 24 hour basis. It would be nice if the dining area was also open late at night but because of some of the people that fast food places attract I guess I can understand why they wouldn’t wan’t it open all night.

«What’s your crave?» Not this, but it’s the only thing that’s open after the bars close. The number of times I’ve visited White Castle is probably now in the double digits, much to the chagrin of my colon. This location has gotten most of the business because after a night at the Otter Bar, there’s nothing better for you than to put the final nail in the coffin with a few White Castles and a sack of fries. I was getting hooked on the Chicken Ring sandwich($ 1.19) but a sobering visit to the Nutrition Facts section of White Castle’s website has put a stop to that habit. There are 350 calories and 28 grams of fat in this small wonder. How is that possible?! Look at it! The original slider, at 150 calories, 6 grams of fat and 64 cents, seems to be your best bet. Or the pulled pork if you can handle the slightly rancid taste. Everything in moderation.

John Cho my Korean brother why have you forsaken me?! I think that Harold and Kumar does accurately show the initial moments of eating White Castle. This transcendental experience of stuffing those little sliders into your mouth and seeing the steam rise off of those rise as they enter you mouth. Rawrrrr DELICIOUS. What’s not so delicious is the aftermath. Those burgers are damn greasy and it’ll wreck havoc on your insides. About twenty minutes later, I could feel the gurgling and the churning. I knew at that moment I was screwed. A hour later I threw up. Maybe I should drink before eating because apparently that’s the way to go with White Castle.

First, I had to suffer through Harold and Kumar knowing that the nearest White Castle is like 1200 miles away. Second, I had to continue to watch White Castle ads on TV knowing that the nearest White Castle is 1200 miles away. Third, I tried to appease my curiosity by buying the frozen White Castle burgers in my grocer’s freezer aisle(I always wanted to say«grocer’s freezer aisle»). So, being in Minnesota, I got on my trusted steed(Ford Explorer rental) and decided to lead a charge on White Castle. 8 burgers later I felt like calling some sort of self help hotline. It’s no In-N-Out Burger but those little bastards are tasty. Dwarf.
