Nice little park conveniently located near Walker Museum and kind of hidden away, so you don’t have to ever worry about it being overcrowded. Even when I visited on a perfect weekend day(in terms of weather), there were quite a few people, including a group of people that had decided to chill around the little man made stream to chat away from the wedding they were attending nearby. There were people laying out on blankets and people who set up hammocks. Considering the location and the small size of the park, it can accommodate a pretty number of people and has plenty of trees to offer plenty of shade. The man made stream may not offer much recreation, but the babbling brook sound certainly does help increase the calm in the park. It’s a good use of space but I always love to find little nature hideaways in the middle of a city — this doesn’t quite get there. But overall great place to go to relax, take a breather, or catch up with a friend.

Ever since my girlfriend and I relocated to the Lowry Hill area of Uptown and adopted a two-year old puppy, my mornings have looked something like this: 6:50 — 7AM: Wakeup. Brush teeth, etc… 7 — 7:20AM: Take our doggy(Cran-boogie) out for a walk. 7:20 — 7:40AM: Wait for her to «do her business» somewhere in the grass. 7:40 — 7:45AM: Go home. So, one could say that I’m quite familiar with this small-ish park that makes great use of its space. More about it: +Has a sizable stream that includes several mini pools. +Super dog friendly! There’s plenty of grass for playing fetch with your pooch and, um, potty space. +Mini pavilions and plenty of benches great for reading. +Feels incredibly safe, since it’s tucked away in a residential area. +Plenty of large trees that provide more than enough shade. +The City maintains the park very well. I’ve never seen a piece of trash or a patch of un-kept grass. +The people that visit the park are of all types: young kids, professionals, and especially the elderly.

This is a cute neighborhood park nestled within the Lowry Hill neighborhood. The primary feature of the park is a chain of 7 water pools running the entire length of the property. There is a brick walkway that navigates the perimite as well. Along the West edge of the park is a vine covered gazebo that can be rented out for special events. I’ve seen a few weddings taking place there. I like to bring the hibachi out and BBQ during the summer months. I’ve seen quite a few folks wrap up a run by doing some yoga in the park as well. This is a small, underutilized gem just on the edge of downtown!
