Tasty Pizza / Hangar 45

Eaten here a handful of times so far. I’m not a fan of the pizza. The crust Is thin but doughy, not crisp.
The pieces are cut into small squares, almost too small. The sausage is rather unremarkable as is the sauce. I’ve also had the meatball dip. The meatballs were ok, as was the meat sauce and the order comes with cheese bread.
The wings however are great here and the reason for almost 4 stars. Large wings with tasty buffalo dipping sauce. Get it with an additional side of ranch and dip the wings in buffalo, then the ranch — great flavors and decent pricing for 6.
Service can be somewhat spotty. It’s always friendly but the staff is young and sometimes not so attentive or knowledgeable. Beer selection is a bit lacking.
All in all, not a bad spot, especially if you like wings.
The décor I’d cool and the motif is ww2 avaiation.

Good service, good pizza, and enough events such as trivia and bingo to keep me entertained.

Employee Shane was quite rude. Any type of phone skills would be better than what I recieved. Will not deliver 2 miles away to a local hotel. Thought I was joking, needing food.
I would not offer my hard earned cash to these jokers. Everything is a party there

I have been coming here since I was a kid in the 80s and this spot is one of my favorite dives in the metro. It’s situated in this dump of a strip mall but walking in, you can see the charm. The pizza was great-​thin crust, the sauce slightly spicy. They have a lunch buffet, which I appreciate. The servers are friendly. The recent renovation is not as noticeable as it should be, but the bathrooms are a fun surprise. Lol Bring a friend. Have a beer and a pizza. It’s good for just that.

This place could have 5 stars from me if it was based on their burgers and drinks alone. My actual rating is 3.5, but Unilocal isn’t that granular.
I would not recommend their pick up service. I had to wait inside 20 minutes and then my order was not quite right.
During my wait I saw the guy making the pizzas putting his hand in and out of his pocket, messing with his cell phone, and all the while wearing no gloves nor visibly washing them.
My second time there I ate in, and got drinks at the bar. The drinks were great, the bartender was very professional and efficient, and the burgers were delicious. There was good conversation to be had on the smoking patio, and I had a great time.
Maybe my first experience with them was a fluke, but I still would stick to eat-​in and avoid the pizza, myself.

Wings are large, but ours were greasy and nothing special. Mashed potatoes were instant. Ick. We will go back and try the pizza though, as what was coming out of the oven looked marvelous!

If you take that obsolete food pyramid from elementary school seriously… Then let me encourage you to eat more pizza!!! Dairy, fruits, veggies, grains, protein — BOOM!!!
When I am looking for the best take out pizza in Minneapolis, I look no further than Tasty. It’s thin crust, cheesy goodness that delivers every time. Plus they have some amazing deep fried wings. This ain’t no health club, this is a pizza spot. Now let me be clear that I am talking about pizza as any good Minnesotan grew up with. Nothing against punch, galactic, or pizza luche’ — but when did pizza become so ooh-​la-​te-​da???
Go back to your roots Minnesota. Order some pizza that’s downright TASTY — see what I did there?

I am a disabled veteran that called in advance for five star service. I arrived with my service dog and received five star service and an excellent value
I got the six topping custom large pizza and it was amazing
that pizza kicked my butt
I had to eat it in two meals instead of one.
my Redbone coon hound ordered the double meatball platter and chips and Queso and she was not disappointed either.

I am in love with tasty pizza. Their stuff is very delicious and flavorful. If you have not tried it you need to. You will not be disappointed.
They have a restaurant side and a bar side so it is good for taking families out or going out with a few friends for drinks and dinner after work.

Today was the first visit here for my son and I for lunch. In my humble opinion, this is the best thin crust pizza in Minneapolis.
Originally, we were planning on going to Red Savoy’s on 7^th St. But I typed in «best thin crust pizza mpls» into teh Googles and we ended up here instead.
It was a great choice. Ample parking and seating, service was attentive, friendly and helpful and the pizza was perfect!
I’ve already contacted a friend so that I could plan another visit here too. I think I’m going to try their hot turkey sandwich next time. I really miss the hot sandwiches that Coffee Cup in St. Paul used to serve.

They have delicious pizza, burgers and their cheese bread is to die for. Plus the service there is always amazing and most of the staff know you by name if you’ve been in a couple of times. They are a huge supporter of the community and our veterans. I highly recommend them to anyone!

One of my favorite places to get pizza from & the fact that they have a large delivery area is pretty awesome too.

This place just keeps growing and growing. Takeing over more and more of the little strip mall it is in. And that is because people are finding out about this gem of a pizza place. Well it used to be a pizza place. it is now a bar and resturant and pizza place. Now a good pick and mix menu of italian and pub foods. Not to mention the best pizza you can get in the area.

Amazing pizza, both in house and delivery! Restaurant has a great atmosphere with a surprisingly large and varied beer menu and live music.

While traveling in Minnesota, a local told my friends and I that we needed to go to Tasty Pizza because it is, well, tasty. No joke this was and is the best pizza I have ever had. I am literally counting down the days until I can be in MN again to go there! The service was typical of a mom and pop, but the daily specials made the price just right. And once the food arrived… heaven in your mouth! Go, eat, enjoy, leave fat and happy!

Great food great service a hands on owner and plenty of beer choices.
The pizza is the best thin crust ever. They also have thick by request.
All appetizers are also good. Try the Dewey sandwich.
Live music on many nights.
There is a restaurant side, a bar side and a awesome buffet during the day.
Not a big buffet, but a good one.

These are some of the best wings I’ve had in a long time, especially since they’re quite large. I like the options of sauces they offered and the taco pizza was yum!

The pizza is a slam dunk. Great thin crust.
The bar area (aka Hanger 45) is a great place to catch «The Game». There is a new-​ish annex like area that has three projection TV’s on the wall. The staff will accommodate your viewing requests. The cheap beer is cheap and they’re starting to pour some decent stuff too. Great locals joint.

I’ve never set foot inside the actual restaurant, but I can 100% vouch for the delivery service. Super fast delivery — never more than 30 minutes (granted, I live only a mile away). With the extensive menu that includes your typical bar food (fried apps, burgers, sandwiches) PLUS pizzas & pastas, PLUS ribs and fried chicken, it’s the perfect go-​to for delivery on a lazy couch potato night.
Their classic pizzas are absolutely delish. Their crust is ultra thin, light on sauce, perfectly browned and well balanced layer of cheese on top.
Their amazing jalapeño poppers have been discontinued, unfortunately, but the wings are excellent — crispy, tasty, and HUGE. And their blue cheese is heavenly — definitely homemade.
I’ve also ordered the hot turkey sandwich on more than one occasion. There’s no reason why I should love it quite as much as I do — instant mashed potatoes, thick white sandwich bread, and a bunch of thin sliced turkey. Maybe it’s the gallon of gravy that smothers everything else. Maybe it’s the warm, soft texture that makes it the essence of comfort food. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m always ordering it on hangover Sundays. Regardless, it sure hits the spot.
This is my new favorite delivery in the area. It’ll be hard to order from Papa John’s ever again.
