Good selection of craft beer, cold beer, not cold beer, wine, and spirits. Helpful staff with booze advice when asked, and they’ll carry to your car if hands are full. Candy for the kids (my children) is a nice touch. Solid and wide selection and some pretty great sales online and in store.

My local liquore store. Good prices and good selection. As a beer nerd they do a great job of having good local and not so local options. Prices are very good, and the service is top notch.

I have no reason not to like this liquor store. Its perfect location in the mall area of New Brighton makes it a winner — just stop on by after running all your errands. The prices are pretty comparable as well. they actually had stuff on sale that my regular liquor store doesn’t ever put on sale. A 12 pack of Blue Moon for under $ 13? That is usually unheard of. I agree with Warren C., great selection! They have everything you are looking for. Their other location on Hwy 88 also has a lot of locally made wines. I didn’t look when we were at this location because I wasn’t browsing, but I would guess that they have similar items.
Oh, and we learned about a FREE beer tasting event they are holding next weekend. I know what I’m doing next Saturday, what about you?

This is a fabulous liquor store. It was my go-​to spot for four years while I lived about a block away.
It’s not a huge place, so it doesn’t have the selection of some of the local liquor superstores, but it’s got pretty much all you need. There’s a lovely big cooler in the back for your beers, alcopops, and chilled wines. The prices are nice too. I could pretty much always find a nice bottle of wine for less than $ 10.
The best thing about SAV, though, is the service. In four years I never had a negative experience. Everyone was always friendly, ready to help you find what you’re looking for, etc. Lines aren’t too long, and parking could not be more convenient. Also, it’s right by Cub Foods, so you pick up dinner and the wine in one trip. Nifty!

I’m going to err on the liberal side for this place. I have been going here for years to get my alcohol. I usually shop the craft beers and they have a large variety, which I like.
Since I shop the more expensive crafts, I have bought some skunky stuff here. The more expensive stuff should not be skunky, but since it’s more expensive, it sits on the shelf longer. There has to be a balance somewhere. If I am buying something that is more expensive, I usually ask when it came in to make sure it is somewhat fresh and I can enjoy it as it was intended.
My back up beer is usually a seasonal called Lakemaid and this place seemed to be the last in the area to get it on order. That kind of pushed me out the door to other liquor stores.
The prices are usually decent and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Great selection. Wines, beers, liquor, hard to find items… it’s all here. Quite frankly, I’d walk here more often if it weren’t so damn cold outside.
Reasonable prices, knowledgeable staff. I think they also have 10% off wine on Wednesdays if I’m not mistaken. Definitely a fan.
