Awsome place! Food is good, but the bakery items are to die for and so much cheaper than other places. Service is good and it’s not loud or crowded, although it should be!

Used Sip Coffeebar for delivery of breakfast items for a business meeting. Very impressed — they were great to work with, delivery was prompt, and the food was a hit! We did the sampler of muffins, a couple of quiches, and yogurt/granola cups and everything went over really well. Will definitely be using them again!

Another great Northeast neighborhood gem. Friendly staff, nice menu, good coffee and free wifi. My salted caramel latte was great today. I could actually taste the salt, which is a big plus in my book. SIP’s coffee of the day is also always good. Adequate selection of light sandwiches and sweets. Only two sofas, so if you’re looking to lounge a while, it’s hit or miss on grabbing one. Bottom Line: everything you want or need in a neighborhood coffee shop, smiles included.

Super cute shop tucked into a smattering of warehouses, but incredibly snotty baristas. I simply ordered a coffee which, would have been fantastic otherwise, seems a bit sour from their poor service. They didn’t even say«have a nice day» or «thank you», so i’m more intrigued than upset. They must have had a really cruddy weekend and no amount of their tasty coffee could compensate for it. You would think a barista would be in the best of moods given the fact that she has full access to some damn good java.

I wouldn’t say the people are incredibly friendly, but the coffee and treats are amazing. I also like the out of the way location in north east… It’s not likely they get a lot of «drive by» traffic, but they’re always relatively busy. That’s a good sign. Try some of the baked goods.

What a find! I have lived 2 blocks away for 2 years, never knew it was there. Sip has an excellent array of coffee for even the most sophisticated coffee drinker. Also, they have a great choice of hand made breakfast and lunch fares, not to mention dessert! I make up reasons to go here now, I wish they were open on Sundays.

This little place is tucked away in Northeast– so tucked away, I’m not even sure how people know about it! But great news, free parking. So…coffee isn’t awesome. Not terrible, just not awesome. They do have a great space though for business meetings, or getting work done. It’s pretty quiet. Another perk is that they have a pretty large food menu with sandwiches, baked goods, salads, etc. I haven’t tried any, but I always like having real food options, not just a packaged muffin and some vinegar chips.

Amazing little gem! I personally hate overcrowded coffee shops with loud music but this place hit the spot. Got a white chocolate turtle iced mocha(medium) and a banana chocolate muffin(which was both homemade AND amazing), both for $ 6.47 so pretty darn affordable! It’s air conditioned, quiet bliss and very very spacey with a variety of local magazines to digest if you didn’t have anything to do but want to sit. 2 couches so good for first dates or hanging with a few friends. Something that’s finally in NE that isn’t snobbish and overpriced!

This place was a total surprise! First, I didn’t know it existed since it’s tucked away a bit, secondly, the food is fantastic(yay! gluten free options!) as is the coffee! We will keep coming back here time and time again.

First time here! Staff is super friendly and the cold press is great. Their homemade almond lemon muffin is incredible. Nice chill area, modern space and very very calm. Didn’t have trouble finding a spot to read on Saturday afternoon. I wish they had more outside space(they do have some chairs and tables) but their options are limited with the space. Great place!

Decided to come back a second time and try the quiche lorraine which is just as delicious as the spinach and tomato quiche! I had a chai tea latte which I did enjoy a lot more than the mexican mocha. There’s just something about a chai tea latte that makes me feel so comforted and relaxed! I decided to try the bread pudding muffin even though I didn’t have a great muffin experience the first time and i’m glad I did! This muffin was a teensy bit dry but my latte helped wash it down. It had good flavor and nice plump raisins! I like to get here within the first hour of them opening so it’s nice and peaceful and I can enjoy a little reading on my kindle to go along with breakfast!

Ok, last update for this place, promise! It couldn’t be helped as I went from a 1 – 2 times a monther to 1 – 2 times a weeker. I’ve branched out from my usual quinoa and cold press. In fact, it’s been awhile since I’ve had the quinoa as I’m currently enamored with their soups and sandwiches. I’ve had the roast beef and provolone, made with their own house pesto, the veggie wrap, and a couple of the«sandwich of the day». I’ve yet to have a soup I haven’t liked, and they make them fresh every day. Check their Facebook, they usually post what the soup + sandwich of the day are. They also have a couple salads, chefs and I think a spinach salad with craisins. Usually a cold pasta in the display case next to the quinoa. I’ve been eying both of these and have been on the fence, but the desire for a hot bowl of soup is usually too hard to pass up. Someday when I’m not running late for work, I’ll make it here for breakfast

Everything here is good. Expertly prepared espresso drinks, delicious housemade deli sandwiches and super yummy baked goods made from scratch, you simply can’t go wrong. The dining area is airy and modern and perfect for a quick meeting or just hanging out. Service is always friendly and hospitable. They’ve got lots of gluten-free options including sandwiches made to order and gluten-free salads. Good stuff. An integral part of the bustling arts district around the historic Grain Belt Brewery, I’ll be a customer at this woman-owned business for a long time.

I’m somewhat of a morning regular at Sip, and I LOVE it! I usually get a cold press and a pastry of sorts. They bake them here! The bran muffins are my favorite. The staff are always friendly and helpful if I ever want to switch up my regular order to try something new. The atmosphere here is great. I’m currently being serenaded by the Drifters with«This Magic Moment» as I write this review and check work emails. The coffee shop is always clean and well taken care of. You have a nice variety of seating options around the shop — tables with chairs, couches, chairs with side tables, etc. This is a kid friendly coffee shop, and they have toys and books in a shelving unit near one of the carpeted areas. How cool is that? I’ve only seen kids in here once or twice, and I thought it was great that they could come along with their parents.

I was in the area and wanted a place to grab a latte and do some reading, and Google Maps suggested Sip. I’m so glad I stopped in! The space feels very open, and the décor is clean and modern. The couch by the window was a comfy place to settle in for a few hours. The barista suggested I try the Café Miel latte, which I really enjoyed. It was delicious and tasted like a graham cracker! I absolutely loved that I could just get half a sandwich wrap, which was a reasonable price. At most coffee shops, they make you cough up the dough for an entire sandwich that is just too big to eat in one sitting, forcing you to choose whether to rush your leftovers home, or waste food while you relax at the coffee shop. At Sip, I got a latte, half a sandwich, and a pastry all for less than $ 10. Great coffee, great food, great value. I look forward to going back!

I often come to Sip to study. The vibe is relaxed and cozy. The coffee is some of the best in Minneapolis, but the pastries are amazing!!! I have been fortunate enough to walk in when they have still warm Danish and it is very exciting! A great place to relax, always crazy people watching and the nicest staff at any of the local coffee joints! I just wish they were open past 6 pm!

Sip! Sip! You are so good. First off, guys, did you know that Sip makes totally delicious quiches and other breakfast goodies? I did not, until I went out on a limb and called them when I was in need of a big breakfast to transport all the way to my office in the ‘burbs. I was shocked when the girl on the phone replied, «Yeah! We can do that.» Oh yeah, I was giving them a whole day heads up, which isn’t exactly a lot of time when I’m ordering three quiches. I went by to pick up my quiches and fruit, and they had them all warm(the quiches, anyway!) and ready to go. I also ordered two jugs of coffee, and the cups, cream, sugar, napkins, etc. were all packed up for me, too. It was such a smooth experience, AND right in my ‘hood. Okay, but the food. Like I said. So. Good. We got one quiche with veggies like broccoli and onion with cheese, one with bacon and cheese, and one of a bit of everything. They were amazing! Everyone was raving, after a long period of silence wherein we were shoving the food into our mouths and unable to speak. The fruit was fresh and a flavorful assortment of all the usual suspects(berries, melon). And the coffee! I ordered the dark roast for my crew, and was so happy when someone asked what«FTO» stood for on the box. Why, fair-trade organic, of course! Not only is the coffee delicious, but I could feel good about buying it(and teaching my co-workers a thing or two!). Sip is also a fun place to sit down with a laptop or another real-life human being and hang out for a while. There are tables up front by the window, but there’s also a sweet little couch area in the back that makes you feel like you’re chatting in your own living room. The Cherry Almond Latte is ridiculously good, but I have a total crush on all things cherry-almond. The latte was a lot less sweet than I was anticipating, but added the perfect bit of sweet + nutty to the espresso. The Miel is also delicious; I get mine made light on the honey to avoid a saccharin experience. Let’s get down to it. Sip is awesome. They cater, they do coffee, they do just about everything, and they do it well. Sure, sometimes there is a plethora of hipsters hanging out with their laptops and making me feel like 27 is granny-age, but that isn’t Sip’s fault. They also do sandwiches, pastries, yogurt + granola, and lots of other nosh, so be prepared to want it all!

The building I work in a little more than a mile down the street but offers few nearby options for breakfast and lunch if you don’t want fast food. Our office was looking for catering options and we came across Sip. Stopped by to check it out and I am excited to go back. The coffee bar is not hidden but not in an overly obvious place so it was quiet and calm and easy parking. The décor is modern and the menu boards are beautiful! They offer a nice variety of sandwiches(breakfast and lunch), bars, and pastries. Ordered an ice coffee and it was good. The barista was friendly and assisted us with the catering details without getting annoyed with our many questions. I am happy I found this coffee bar. I think I will become a regular!
