Heard great things about the food there from couple do friends. Gonna have a try sometime for sure!

Of all the restaurants in the cities to eat we constantly visit Patrick’s. The food is incredible and the pastries and little cakes are amazing. The Broche is what I order every time and there is really nothing like it anywhere! My husband loves the Brisket burger. Tonight was the first time we have eaten there for dinner and it was really fantastic– our waiter was personable and frankly hilarious :) The one drawback is the location– it does not fit in a strip mall next to Papa Murphy’s :-/

First off, I was a bit surprised to discover this café was inside Backman’s florist store. Anyway, the selection seemed a bit limited for a bakery. I tried the fruit tart and Asparagus Tomato Quiche. The tart was delicious but the quiche lacked any notable flavor. The workers in the store seemed nice, but the man taking my order was a bit sullen and didn’t appear friendly. I can’t say that I would return here as it is a bit out of the way.

The savory food is a bit bland for my taste buds, but the desserts are outstanding. The chocolate croissants are excellent. Well worth the trip. It’s a delightful location. Being in the middle of Bachmann’s is so much fun.

So so good. My coworker introduced me to Patricks when I had passed it on several occasions and never thought to try it. I’ve had the salad nicoise, chicken puff pastry dish, and too many desserts to name. Patricks will make you feel so guilty staring into that case! I have come here for the napoleons alone! Drool. There are so many delish goodies but I always go back to that Napoleon. I’ve tried some others like the fruit tart and almond cookie but they’re pretty forgettable. They have a classy white tablecloth setup for dinner, and we came here for my parents anniversary once. The burgers are divine — I had one topped with Brie and it was flawless. Definitely a great place to check out for a date night.

Only giving this place 2 stars because the boyfriend was relatively happy with his meal. We were in the area looking for a quick lunch– and this seemed like a decent place. Service was pretty bad. Server was not attentive. I tried to order my sandwich without mustard– but as he kindly pointed out, sandwiches are pre-made. Almost made me want to leave at that point. Boy ordered a steak burger– and it looked quite tasty — and a pretty good lunch price point. I ordered the chicken sandwich on raisin bread. It was a hot mess. The bread was soggy on one side– and burn on the other. The chicken reminder me of McDonald’s. Service at the end was again bad– I did not eat ¼ of my meal– and yet our server brought our bill and didn’t bother. Definitely would not come again. Oh– the bathrooms were filthy dirty to top it off. Did not want to try out desert.

Brunch this morning at Patrick’s. I love this place! They make great omelets, the array of available pastries, breads and other baked goods is mouth watering and I just love the ambiance.

I’d probably give 4.5 stars if that were an option. The food is quite good and thoughtfully prepared, especially considering the price point and the fact it’s a café — not a white tablecloth destination. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable — and the service is very good. The best part? Dessert simply cannot be beat — the display of pastries makes dessert a no-pass proposition.

Located in the middle of Bachman’s, this place is quite charming and almost romantic. My husband and I picked up two wonderful deserts here and quickly gobbled them down in their seating area. The seating area makes you almost feel like you’re on vacation. In the evening, you can eat by candlelight while the fountain runs next to you and you take in the scent of fresh flowers. It’s all really very cozy. I had a chocolate raspberry cake, which was absolutely delicious! My husband had a fruit tart that he devoured and said was one of the best things he’s ever eaten! For a quaint little place off the beaten path, given this restaurant a try!

Hmm… dinner at the garden center around 8pm… We were the only customers there for dinner; one in our group was over age 80. The help behind the counter was friendly, helpful and patient. Their selection of quiche looked wonderful. Their salad selections appeared a bit uninspired. Their wine selection was meager — Sutter Home Cabernet or Chardonnay from small plastic single serving bottles. Their sweet pastry selection looked beautiful and perfect, save for the fruit flies crawling on pieces of fruit atop some of the creations. I ordered the Quiche Lorraine and it was served with a side salad. The quiche was really good. It had a nice, flaky crust, and delicate egg custard with the detectable hint of nutmeg. For dessert I selected some passion fruit mini torte with glazed fresh raspberries on top. It was light in texture and somewhat flavorful, although not even close to the«punch» of passion fruit flavor I have enjoyed so much in the past while in Brazil. I enjoyed the ambience of the evening’s quiet, «open air-feeling» bistro seating area.

This location at the Bachman’s on Lyndale is especially picturesque, set among the visual and aromatic beauty of the flowers and fauna. From the artfully decorated cakes, tarts and pastries to the handmade chocolates, the choices look almost too beautiful to eat. They offer regular sized pastries, cookies and cakes as well as mini versions of these treats. Although you may want to bring Euros instead of dollars, Patrick’s is worth the extra expense. Renowned for their Passion Cake, Macaroons, French Baguettes and delectable croissants, Patrick’s is the bakery for the more refined palette. Besides pastries, Patricks also offers lunch and dinner specialities including a variety of soups, Quiche and sandwiches with a bit of a French flair, including their incredible French Hot Ham and Cheese sandwich-Croque Monsieur. Specialty coffees are available, as well as a signature Lemonaid and wine. There are many tables and chairs within Bachmans’ to make it feel like you are in the midst of Spring when it is actually the middle of Winter. They offer catering, box lunches and special events.

Very odd experience to eat brunch in a garden center. The number of elderly here boggles the mind. The smell of fertilizer in the air also boggles the mind. The quiche was perfect and it was hard to choose given the variety.

A girl friend and I had dinner at the 2928 W 66th location, recently, and it was phenomenal! The small restaurant, which doubles as a bakery by day, transforms into an authentic French bistro, on weekend evenings. We started with a glass of Merlot from their(all French) wine selection, and shared the Caesar salad, which was big enough for two people. Our server informed us that everything is made in the restaurant, right down to the salad dressings, which was creamy and salty and everything a Caesar should be. Then, we each ordered an entrée. I had the Beef Bourguignon($ 17), which is similar to a French Strogonaff. I could taste the red wine in this chunky stew, and it was delicious on a delicate bed of fettuccini. My friend had the Mussels in Cream Sauce($ 17), which she loved! It was full of shallot, parsley, and garlic. White wine made this dish light and acidic, and the french fries and bread that came with it were perfect for sopping up the soupy broth. After dinner, we decided that we had to split something from their famous bakery case, as they are most well known for it. We wanted something light so we each ordered a Cappucino and shared a Butter-Cookie Bag, a grab-bag of fluffy, yet crunchy homemade butter cookies, perfect for dunking into coffee. Delish! The restaurant is cozy, and busy, with an open kitchen and cute ambience but no reservations are required to enjoy it, which can be nice and also annoying because we had to wait 45 min for a table and there is no bar to enjoy a drink before hand. I don’t to knock it down, however, because it was an overall good experience and I will go again!

A very nice, peaceful place for lunch. It’s really cool to have this restaurant inside a garden center(Bauchman’s). It makes your experience so much more interesting. There were little finches flying around while we ate. The food is excellent. Be patient and enjoy yourself while you wait. If you’re in a hurry, you might want to try something else. This place is meant to be a part of an «experience».

Service = Sloooooooow. And, to be honest, a bit surly. I waited a total of 20 minutes for my cookies and cappuccino. And it wasn’t even that busy in Bachman’s the Saturday I was there. A suggestion: have a separate line for coffee so you can get in and out quickly OR staff up and get people moving! Pastries and cookies = 4 stars.

Bakery = Breakfast food, so I figured I’d try it. Turns out, everyone here is a complete jerk. There are 17 other Bakeries within a good distance from my home and place of work that I’d rather go to. When I walked in, they asked me, «what do ya want?» No smile, nothing. Now, I’m not one who is a morning person and in fact, I hate it when people are over-the-top in the morning, but really? Then they forgot adding the muffin I originally went there for and when I asked about it, they not only made me get the receipt out, but then gave me a look like it was my fault. Am I going to lie to a bakery to get a free muffin? Maybe, but not this time. The food, honestly, wasn’t bad. It wasn’t amazing for a place that is so «big.» There really is no reason to go out of my way to go here and I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone when there are other places so close by.

Why have I not discovered this place sooner! An authentic European viennoiserie/patisserie inside of Bachman’s? I can’t wait to go to their larger location near Southdale. What a treat, the pastries look just like some of the pastries and sandwiches you would find in Paris or even Vienna. I’d love to try some of their quiches or sandwiches look amazing! Kind of strange that it is located inside of a Bachman’s… But I definitely want to check out their main location. The greenhouse is an interesting atmosphere … pretty humid in the summertime though. Probably best to go there in the morning though since they were sold out of some items by the time I got there.

Once I finally figured out where it was, I am glad I made the extra effort to go. Great from a marketing perspective to get people into the other stores. And the food, well this is what you would expect to get from a French bistro. If you don’t mind shoppers with carts strolling around then you will like Patricks. But given the space you have about as much french feel as you are going to get. I had the quiche and its more of the country side versus something you would get in Paris. So it was well done and the coffee was great. Easy enough to get me to go back.

I went to Patrick on a wonderful Saturday afternoon. It is surprised me that it is a store in a beautiful garden. It is quiet and beautiful. I love that it opens late to 10pm. All other bakeries close at 6~ Although their almond croissant is too sweet for me, I still would like to give it five star.(I also tried Vanilla Chocolate Crème Brulee and an entrée that I forgot the name~)

This is a lovelier, smaller version of the Patrick’s bakery and café in Southdale Square. The coffee and pastries are equally fabulous, and the ambience is so much better! They have a nice set up of bistro tables under umbrellas in the sunny greenhouse/garden center of Bachman’s. I imagine it can get rather warm in there at the height of summer, though. They offer a limited breakfast/brunch menu, and no dinner. The same great pastries and coffee, but no build your own omlette, or hot foods like eggs benedict: just sandwiches, panini and cold salads. All are excellent, though. They get really busy on Sunday mornings, so be prepared to wait in line. Kind of a long line. A slow-moving long line. On this Sunday, they said they were short a person behind the counter. Maybe the wait’s not always that bad, but this definitely made the difference between a 3-star and a 4-star rating.
