Love me some karate! And this place kicks ass (get it?)! I learned you don’t even need to be Asian to get your karate on at NK! I walked in and everyone was kung-​fu fighting! Although it was quickly explained to me that kung-​fu is at the dojo down the street.
Classes are for all ages — kids as young as four were being trained to wax on and off — For real, the instructors here know their moves and are fantastic with kids and adults. The classes are super diverse and I love that about this neighborhood.
Want to learn real karate? Go here. Want to learn kung-​fu? I guess you should go somewhere else. Also it’s by a nail salon and Chinese restaurant (Asian theme?).
