Decided to stop by as my boyfriend and I were waiting for a table at the nearby southern Revival restaurant. Was pleasantly surprised. Didn’t know there were multiple locations. It totally had a small town boutique feel. I found 2 great steals from the sidewalk display. A light purple asymmetrical dress and a turquoise sun dress made of silk each on sale for only 15 bucks. Didn’t bother sifting through the merchandise indoors although the cocktail rings were pretty flashy and I like the bracelets. Too bad I already have too many accessories otherwise I would have indulged. The salesgal was very friendly. Curious about the restaurant and telling us the history of the store and how they used to only be open on certain days of the week. Overall good service and value. Will maybe come back if I am around the area.

My best friend and I stumbled upon this place by chance and thought it was really neat. Some of the clothes I found a little expensive for what they were, but it’s a small business and I don’t mind paying a little extra. It’s definitely a good place for woman ranging from sixteen to thirties, and if you’re looking for a cute dress I highly recommend! Also, Patsy was a darling and we had a great time talking to her, so we feel even more inclined to go back!

I LOVE coming here! This is definitely the place to find a fun new purse. Whenever I need some retail therapy I head to Fun Sisters. Cute accessories and clothes are also for sale. The new expanded hours are an added bonus!

What a great place to buy a gift for the gal who seems to have everything!!! And there is so much at this store you can buy for under $ 20. I would recommend this place to anyone. Where else can you buy fun accessories for adult women. Claire’s Boutique is for tweens and teens and fun sisters is for ladies!

Been meaning to get back here after an unintentional hiatus. Afterall, hustling back to work from my dental appt could wait, I needed a new purse! When I called to see if they were open, she said they weren’t but she would open the store for me anyways! Just call me VIP! I got 2 great purses and a coupon for $ 25 off my next months visit! Go here for any accessory you can dream of, for cheap!

I can’t help but being a fan of a place that has«glitter makeovers.» For adults… Or children! This place is for those girls that never quite outgrew the color purple, 80s eyeshadow, and a purse for every single, imaginable occasion. And maybe they still like unicorns. Seriously, they do sell this amazing makeup that stays put all day with the use of this groovy eyeshadow base, so I have to go there. It keeps my makeup looking awesome through an entire ballroom dance competition, so it is QUALITY. If you’re part of the ballroom crowd, I suggest not bringing your credit card with a high limit. With all the sparkles and makeup, you’ll be paying interest for 30 more years. That student loan will look like chump change after you see the rhinestone hair doodads.

This place is like the TJ Maxx of Bibelot/Patina-type boutiques in the area. It’s open only on select days throughout the month(see their website for the most current dates). This is a hit with middle-aged Moms that think they’re funky and slightly urban. Tons of handbags(all synthetic and most Coach knockoffs), wallets, watches, and a wide selection of faux-antique-y-brooch-y-costume-y jewelry. This store has grown a lot since the first middle-aged Mom told me about it five years ago or so. They have multiple locations now, but I’ve only ever visited the original Nicollet location. Can be a good place to find gifts for tweens/young women that you don’t know well enough to buy something else for. As for the dorky name, this is the primary reason I even ever stepped foot into this place: «The Fun Sisters story originated when Patsy Skiba, a Northwest Flight Attendant purchased faux Rolex watches, Burberry scarves and Gucci bags from street vendors during New York layovers. Back in Minneapolis, people would ask, „Where did you get those?“ Soon, she and her sister Mary Rolbiecki were purchasing items for friends who wanted the fun stuff under the name „Fabulous Fakes.“ Unbeknownst to Patsy & Mary, the U.S. Customs agents were cracking down on these knock-off goods sold openly in New York and many home parties. While those who buy counterfeit merchandise can’t be prosecuted, those who sell it can. The sisters were convicted of transporting counterfeit merchandise and sentenced 300 hours of community service plus three years of probation and fined $ 11,000. The custom agent, who brought the case against the sisters, came to like the sisters and dubbed them „the fun sisters.“ After paying their debt to society and not to be distraught due to their misfortune, the sisters continued to pursue their love of selling quality purses, but this time with known legal merchandise and started a partnership under the name „The Fun Sisters“. They only had sales a few times a year, when Patsy’s home was converted into a store. With the business booming(and taking its toll on Skiba’s living room), they opened a store at 58th and Nicollet in south Minneapolis and expanded from a few sales a year to be open every month for four consecutive days to accommodate their flying schedules. When the store was relocated to 43rd and Nicollet, it was decided to further expand to the current five days a month. Mary Rolbiecki(the master traveler) bowed out, because she could not commit to the additional time required to operate a real store. The store is now operated by Patsy and her daughters, Lindsay and Ashley. Daryl, Patsy’s husband is also an honorary fun sister. Mary Rolbiecki is doing well and lives part-time in northern Georgia. She has since started a similar business in Chattanooga called „Earth Sisters and Fu Fu Chix“ under similar limited operating hours.»

If you love accessories and handbags and shoes, this is the place for you! They stock loads of cute and trendy merchandise, many of which are the current look of the season, at reasonable prices. If you’re ever stuck for a gift for a friend or family member(of the female persuasion, obviously), there’s no doubt you’d find something perfect here. And as an added bonus, the owners and staff are some of the best people I’ve ever met!

Another great gift store in Minneapolis. They carry knock-off bags, great accessories and the best jewelry all for super cheap. I love going Christmas shopping here for the girls in my family. The only drawback is that they are only open a weekend a month unless it is a shopping holiday. Well worth it though. Check out for shopping dates.
