I do not like this place! It’s dark and gloomy inside. The service is horrible! I have been there quite a few times.
I always see the same woman working in there and she has a horrible attitude! She will not speak English to me or any other customer that I’ve seen come in there.
The final straw as too why I Will never but from there again is that I’m a pastry I bought that was filled with cream it had a circular piece of plastic inside the cream!
I will gladly stay with Marissa’s!

Warning to vegans /​vegetarians: I have not encountered a vegan Mexican pastry ever, and some products may have lard /​animal shortening. Always ask first if it’s important to you.
The whole block smells fantastic thanks to this place. I used to stop in before work pretty often, before my rent went up and I had to budget better. That isn’t to say it’s expensive — you can pick up a bag of conchas for less than it would cost you to get a coffee in Uptown. Cash preferred for small orders, I think.
The place is bright and cheerful inside. The staff are always friendly and there is a great variety of sweets to choose from. You can buy just a couple, or order in larger quantities for a party. They also do cakes.
My boyfriend did find some mold on a custard of some kind, so that’s the missing star.
