This place is tucked away in the Hyatt a few stops down from the Oceanaire. The collection is owned by Bill Daley, who, once upon a time, played football for the University of Minnesota. The gallery contains mostly illustrations from the likes of Elvgren, Amos Sewell, Otto, and others. Lots of pin-ups and fun Americana to check out. Daley was there when we stopped in on our way down the hall to our reservation: he was a lot of fun to talk with and gave some great information about a few of the paintings. I love pin-ups. I think they are the cutest thing ever and it was fun seeing some of the original paintings. Katy Perry would be proud. I had seen one of the paintings from his collection displayed at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Beware, there are some creepy old clown paintings which, while cool to check out, may give you nightmares of childhood traumatic experiences.
