I am wildly impressed with this post office after not-​so-​great experiences at other postal locations (especially in New York City).
This location is wildly busy (I frequently walk in to find no line, hurry to pick out a box to ship my package in, and then turn around to find that five other customers also really needed to be at the post office at this time), but the employees work through the lines efficiently. Sometimes there is only one employee serving customers, but I never spend more then 5 – 10 minutes on a line. No matter what, they’re always friendly and courteous!
The envelopes, boxes, and other shipping supplies are always in stock in all of the different sizes and options.

Very tiny & closes at 5 p.m. but the staff is really friendly. Got what I needed done in a timely, prompt fashion. It’s also not too far of a walk from the Supreme Court building and the Mineola LIRR station. Not the most tech savvy place from what I can tell but you won’t get hit by a car trying to come in and the staff was very nice. I’d return if I needed mailing services here.

It’s just a post office BUT… the are perfectly staffed with an incredibly helpful team. Lets face it, I can mail a letter anywhere but I actually go out of my way to patronize my local post office to support them.

Smithtown, NY
I highly recommend this post office location. Last year I sent and received around 700 packages (seriously) with this post office and had absolutely no issues with any of them. Any time I went into the post office, I was greeted with a smile and the clerks were always willing to go the extra mile to help me with my mailing needs. In short, this post office feels like an alternate bizarro world where the post office is a pleasant place to be and gets everything right.
It’s a clean location and (bonus) you can walk there from the Mineola train station.
