Prestigious Cuts Barber Shop

I took my nephew here a couple of weeks ago and the young man who cut his hair did a terrific job. He took his time and was very patient even when my nephew refused to sit still. The location is beyond clean and the woman who works there is always nice. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

If you can stick with Nikka, you’ll be fine. If you are moved to another barber, beware.

Without a doubt, one of the better barber shops I’ve been to. Nikka is a consummate professional. She’s as courteous and friendly as they come — listens to what you want, and does the job well.
Ignore the negative reviews. Treat yourself to a terrific haircut.

Easily one of the best places for haircuts, comfortable and simple with tv to keep you entertained, too bad their haircuts are quick so there goes watching the rest of the show

Shes just HORRIBLE. She thinks she knows everything but she DOESNT. Only cut she can give are the ones on her walls. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!

This barber shop is a solid staple of the neighborhood. I keep coming back because it’s clean and they get my haircut right every time.

I recently moved to the area and tried this place because it is literally a three-​minute walk from my home. I have not exaggerated any of the below for effect– the facts themselves are crazy enough.
I walked in and the barber was watching TV which, as you can see from the picture, is prominently featured and faces the area where the barber stands. I asked for a trim, trying to play it safe given that I wasn’t familiar with the barber. While he cut my hair, he took his eyes off of the TV only glancingly. He used solely clippers, and after the – no exaggeration – four minutes he took shortening much of my hair (I can’t call it a haircut), he told me the price. I asked him to even out the uneven chunks that were most readily noticeable, but the more I turned my head, the more I realized that my hair was completely butchered.
Immediately afterward, I went around the corner to another barber and had him fix what Prestigious did to my head. The repair barber did as much as he could, but I still ended up looking pretty silly for almost two weeks.
It is not the ineptitude, bur rather the indifference that borders on disdain that has driven me to write this review.
Also, how can someone claim to have been going to this place for five years when, at the time written, the place had been in business for fewer than five years? Starting with a falsehood makes me question the veracity of the rest of the review.

I have been going to prestigious cuts for the past five years. I was using a different barber prior but i needed to find a new place suitable to take my kids. Nikka and Alex do a superb job with my hair as well as my two small boys. The shop is nice and modern. They really do a great job with the two kids to the point where the kids look forward to the haircut (and the lollipop afterwards). If you are from mineola or one of the surrounding neighborhoods definatley pop in for a cut. Hours are also very flexible.
