This restaurant is being renovated. I was trying to grab lunch there but failed… Hope they re-open soon

Great place for lunch in Mineola. Gluten free items which are hard to find. Will be missed when closed. Good luck, hope you open in another location. Lewis

The GG is a great place for good food and friendly environment. The entire team makes sure they make you feel welcome and take care of you. After only a few visits they know how you like your coffee and make sure they get you in and out. In a world were other places make you feel like a number they make you feel at home.

Don’t ever eat here!!! Do you believe women are second class citizens who don’t deserve respect equal pay and health care? Gourmet Grill does! I asked if the TV channel could be changed while I ate because I didn’t want to hear such aggressive political talk during my hour off. The owner refused to change the channel and told me she didn’t need my business!

We like this place because its healthy — however after 2 days ordering for Executive Meetings they messed the orders up. When I called the lady was nasty and didn’t care that we were a corporate account. We will not order here again from them. Oh, keep in mind, I typed the order up and faxed it so how they get wrong is beyond me. Horrible customer service.

Went here for the first time today. The food is great at Gourmet Grill, but the costumer service is even better. Try the turkey BLT combo; it comes with the sandwich, fries and a drink for only $ 11. The food was packaged to-go quite nicely and the staff was accommodating and friendly. Great deli!

I love this place. Great food, healthy options, friendly and attentive staff. Their chopped salads are absolutely the best. Love the flavored coffees, fresh juices and smoothies. I eat here at least a few times a week and am never disappointed.

Grab a coffee and a breakfast sandwich for $ 3.60, real quick… one of the prime breakfast spots in Mineola. Near the LIRR too which is convenient.

WOO, there’s food, and healthy(ish) food at that! I don’t have any gripes with this place, and the prices aren’t too bad. I’ve gone in and had a half order of their sausage(low-carb and needed to hop on the train within 10 minutes), and I’ve also tried their chili. I LOVE me some chili, and this was passing. It was closer to Hormel out of a tin chili, but it was made with Turkey. The guys that work there are pretty cute, I mean, easy on the eyes… and it’s far less grimey than some of the other places on the strip. They clearly have regulars from the hospital that go… and I will soon be a regular too!

I visit Gourmet Grill about once every two weeks. I do enjoy some of their chicken dishes, as well as their pasta. The food is acceptable and while the establishment is a bit on the small side, it’s a nice place to sit down for lunch. They really do need to work on their service though. If you’re there at busy times, prepare for a wait. Today it took me 20 minutes just to place my order(I was the next person in line), 30 minutes to get my food(which wasn’t what I ordered) and an additional 10 minutes for them to get it right. My lunch break was over at this point so I had to walk my food 15 minutes back to my desk. By that time is was cold. I’m going to avoid this place during busy hours.

Having ordered from the Gourmet Grill quite a few times I think it’s only acceptable & fair I finally write a review. Besides Garden City Bistro(which we miss & love you so much. Just your new policy of ordering before 10:30am SUCKS! I’m just saying!!! Hopefully this has improved your phone, ordering [like when we want more chipotle dressing & you forget it!], and delivery services) the Gourmet Grill has made it’s way onto rotation. The one thing I love about GG is that for the most part it is relatively healthy. I typically get a small custom salad with their delicious balsamic vinegarette. I mean it’s no Fairway or Uncle Giuseppe salad but it does the trick. Parking can be a little dicey since it’s right there with the Mineola train station. You will have to feed the meter if you want to avoid a ticket. Or you could do what I did. Get lucky and get someone’s spot with a little bit of time left on the meter so you don’t have to feed it. Yes… true story that happened to me. I was looking for a spot & someone backed out I pulled in. Went to go feed the meter and there was 8 minutes left on it. Came back out from Gourmet Grill and had 5 minutes to spare. It pays to call in your order to these places. That way you’re in and out faster than you can start to say«supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.»

Decent, healthy alternative for commuters. Gourmet Grill is a casual café for the area. It is a very high-traffic spot especially during lunch time. It is a very clean spot and the décor is welcoming. I would call in your order and ask for pick-up if you are in a hurry. Yes, the kitchen service does take a lot longer than other deli’s around this spot. The staff members I dealt with are very considerate that I was hungry but needed to catch the next LIRR train coming in 20 minutes. They tried their best to speed up the order. I really appreciate this! I have tried their create-your-own-salad option — all the ingredients are very fresh especially the granny smith apples(my favorite!). It wasn’t anything too special so I cannot really give further comments. Falafel on Spinach Wrap — This sandwich was really not bad. The falafel balls was just a bit too dry for my taste. It had vegetables and the yogurt-tahini sauce. The spinach wrap was put on the grill for a little bit after they wrap the sandwich together. It tastes best when it’s still steamy hot! Overall, not a bad lunch spot.

The food here is very healthy and I appreciate them offering a low cal, low fat option for lunch, but I have found multiple items that I have ordered to be very bland tasting.

Amazing food! Employees are very nice. My coworkers and I have lunch there often and it’s always great! Healthy options, salads made to order, juices and delicious tortellini soup!

Hours are not the best but plenty of tasty healthy options and the best part is that they deliver. If you’re willing to pay a mildly hefty price, the fresh juices are delicious as well. Dope coffee options, best in that neighborhood for sure!

This place is aggravating. I commute daily from Mineola train station and usually grab something to eat for my lunch break. I tried the turkey Bray wrap and it was NOT with the price. Another time I ordered a chicken souvlaki pita, they were out of chicken. OUTOFCHICKEN!!! This place sucks and I consistently walk past it. They close whenever they want, they never have what I want to eat and the proprietor vinny is an obnoxious prick that thinks his place is the only one in Mineola. Go anywhere else, Souvlaki Stop, the bagel place(where the owner is actually a very nice human being, unlike the prick that owns this store) or if you’re in a rush, go to the Station Plaza deli right across from the station. Even the dive bar next to this place has better pizzas to go. Avoid Gourmet Grille and its awful owner at all costs.

The employees here are incredibly warm and friendly. Every time I go here, I feel happier when I leave. And they have awesome coffee!

Less than two blocks away from our office, my coworkers and I often get lunch delivered from here. The menu offers a variety of healthy choices, which is more than I can say about competing take-out businesses in Mineola. I think the wraps are no more than mediocre — they’re too small for the price, and they once burnt my chicken cutlet. The burgers and salads are on point, though. It once took an hour and a half for our food to arrive, but we were quick to forgive since the delivery boy is impossibly sexy.

This is a great lunch spot in the Mineola area. I work nearby and try to make it to Gourmet Grill every so often when I’m looking to treat myself to something other than leftovers. There are a lot of healthy options, reasonable prices and the staff is nice and will bring your food to you if you’re dining in. My lunch favs: Chicken Fajita Wrap(big and tasty), Chipotle Chicken and Avacado Salad(Huge helping, enough for two meals)

I like the fact that their whole menu is made up of «healthier» choices. They use whole wheat pastas, wraps, etc. as the default rather than the optional. However because of this, they take a bit longer than normal delis in the area. This could also be a problem if you’re in a hurry or if you ordered delivery from them. I feel that their selection is pretty decent. I like their Warm Balsamic Salad. It’s a chopped salad that comes with a warm balsamic dressing with artichokes and roasted red peppers in it. I don’t feel its worth the $ 9 though. They’ve also got a great Lean Mean Turkey Chili over yellow saffron rice which is great but very filling and heavy. Actually I don’t think I’ve had anything particularly bad there. They just happen to take a while. I give them an average 3-star rating.
