Not really sure why this place carries the name of Sarabeth’s when the food and service clearly do not live up to its name. The food was horrible and the portion was pathetic. The service was the absolute worst when the restaurant manager asked us to seat ourselves, not to mention we had a 1 year old baby with us. My husband ended up grabbing the menus and dragging a highchair to our table with no assistance from the staff at all. The lack of service and unprofessionalism need to be addressed. The restaurant manager needs to be re-trained and be taught NOT to walk around casually with a cup of coffee in one hand as if she had just rolled out of bed. Completely disgusted and disappointed with our experience here. If you have ever experienced the real Sarabeth’s in NYC — please save yourself the aggravation and do not visit this location.

I recently relocated for a job from Manhattan to Garden City. I was exploring the neighborhood and discovered that there was a Lord and Taylor right on Franklin Ave. I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised to find out that Lord and Taylor’s houses one of the best chain restaurants, Sarabeth’s. I decided to have some lunch and ordered my favorite, the Spinach and goat cheese Omelette. It was delicious(Just as good as the Manhattan location) Everyone from the hostess to the server was warm and friendly. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager that day. Her name is Jessica, a young woman with a great smile. She was going around the room and offering a new dessert at this location(chocolate chubbies). I’ve had these before and they are awesome! I mentioned to Jessica that I might want to celebrate a friends birthday at the restaurant, maybe a Sunday brunch. She was so accommodating, suggesting that she could order a special cake from Sarabeth’s bakery if I wished. I definitely will be back! Marie Quintana

Had the grilled veggie panini and tomato soup. Also had the chicken noodle soup. Everything was good. Veggies were grilled nicely. It was a good deal because you get a whole sandwich and a nice size cup of soup. At the end we were surprised with a mini yogurt

Sarabeths is a good place to go during a day of shopping at Lord & Taylor. The menu has different options to choose from to acquire anyone’s taste. They also have alcohol! Three of us went in and we all got a glass of wine, I asked for a glass of Pinot Noir, but the wine was bad when she brought it over to me, so I ordered a four flower mimosa instead which was great. For lunch I ordered the Wisconsin with a side salad off the special menu, it was a grilled cheese with tomato and bacon, it wasn’t bad, just wasn’t really hot. The other two people I was with split an open face tuna sandwich and a side order of fries, they said their meal was okay as well. I would go back if I was in L&T, definitely for the mimosa again!

Came here for lunch over the summer with my mom and grandma. The food was delicious and the service was great. I would definitely come back for a Sunday brunch.

Never let down by any Sarabeth Restaurant. This cozy Garden City location at Lord and Taylor is no different. You cant go to Sarabeth and not enjoy the truly unique tomato soup, however my favorite are the lemon pancakes with ricotta. Great spot to sit and relax after a day of shopping.
