BBQ Deli & European Cuisine

If you want to support a business that does not pay their employees and prefers to be sued than to be the good Christians they claim to be and
work something out then this is the place for you. Something to remember tho. A concience is a good thing to have when you are shopping and cooking for the public. Enough said.

Gave this place three tries. First time I had a catfish sandwich which was delicious. The fish was perfectly fried. My husband had the pulled pork which was pretty good but a bit sweet. They do not have any other BBQ sauces to spice things up.
The second time, the fryer was broken so no catfish. Instead we tried the brisket. It was not very good. The texture was mushy and the sauce was far too sweet. The potato salad was good but the beans were (again) too sweet.
One more time. This time the fryer was working and the catfish and hush puppies were again perfectly fried. However, the fish was so thin it was like eating jerky.
The service is friendly but erratic. I love a good BBQ joint but unfortunately this isn’t one.
BYW, this restaurant seems to be listed on Unilocal a couple of different times.

The BBQ Deli Thing is exactly what I love about restuarants. It is a small restuarant, a little rough around the edges, but has outstanding food. Me and my wife first walk in and are greeted by who I assume to be one of the owners, and he asks if we were first timers. We replied yes. He rushed to the back and got us a mini sampler of their «There It Goes» platter, which is a variety of BBQ pork, teriyaki chicken, «potato thing», a rice pesto dish and cole slaw. Every bite we took was fabulous. Me and my wife both ordered this meal and it was terrific. The flavor of the BBQ sauce was terrific on all the dishes, the rice pesto dish was fabulous, the cole slaw was fresh with great density and flavor, and I loved the meat chunks in the potato.
As they also do catering it seems like they have the food aspect of the business figured out and it is well worth the return the only reason I did not rate it as 5 star is because of the atmosphere in the restuarant which I attribute to being new and still getting situated. They were unable to take credit cards but they did have the machine and were in the process of getting it installed, it was new and still in its package. Some of the tables were covered with decorations and supplies which looked like they were used for their catering side and things seemed a little spontaneous. I dont want any of these comments to be taken as negative it is purely constructive critism and a disclaimer. I loved the food and had a terrific experience and will return many times in the future to support this business as it grows. My family and friends will definitely hear about it. We also plan on using them to cater our annual party.
