I was there the other day and I really don’t know what happened. I had my two boys and ordered 3 things to go i think I waited over 40 minutes for my order the girl just kept saying it’s coming it’s coming to the point that my kids started to get hungry and I was about to ask for my money back when they finally gave me my food half was hot the other half was cold and when I got home it was pretty disappointing I’ve had better food at this place hope it was just a bad day. But i think is for some one else to figure that out I would not be back.

A little hole in the wall Mediterranean/Chinese joint with the best falafel. I wish it was closer so I could mash my face full of delicious falafel all the time. Great sandwiches and a funky vibe combined with an eclectic menu and great prices make Yum Yum a must stop.

Yum Yum is about 5 minutes from my work and two minutes away from where my band practices, so I’ve been there a number of times throughout the years. The food has always been quite good. I tend to order the falafel and the hummus a lot, both of which are fresh and delicious. The employees are always very polite. Now that I’ve discovered I can order online for a specific pickup time, I think I’ll be ordering much more often for lunch. If you’re like most people and only have a certain amount of time to get lunch during the work week, the online ordering is insanely convenient. No more trips to Taco Hell for me just because it’s the only thing I have time for. One downside to getting pickup or delivery is that you may end up getting a lot of styrofoam containers.

Yum Yum has decent Middle Eastern food at good prices. For $ 20 you can get a mound of food of all different varieties. I purchased the mixed grill, veggie platter and the falafel appetizer for a group of people. First, assume you will wait 15 – 20 minutes longer than the pickup time. This has happened to me twice for pickup. Delivery can take upward of an hour so be patient. All of the food is average but I really like the lentil soup which had a lemony taste with a smooth texture and good consistency. I like my hummus very garlicky which is not what they serve. The meat platter has a good variety of chunky meats with some kabobs that have ground meat. The rice underneath is another one of my favorites. The falafel is average on its own but is incredible when they put in a sandwich. Ask for it spicy because it really amps up the dish. They serve their falafel sandwich is a larger, thinner pita which I like because it isn’t too much bread. The service isn’t great and you will have a difficult time conversing when they pickup the phone. However, it can be worth it if you are craving some tasty kabos!

I love the food from here! It is delicious! However, if you get delivery, it takes an EXTRAORDINARILY long time. Every time I’ve ordered(usually for 2 or 3 people) it has taken an hour plus. Today, a couple of girls from work and I ordered lunch for ourselves, two upper management individuals and our CEO. We ordered at 11:30 and it didn’t get here until about 1:30. We did order for about 7 people but I still think that is way too long for that amount of food. In fact, one of the girls, who had not ordered from here before, said she would not order from here again because of the amount of time it took. It’s never good to keep a hungry boss waiting for lunch! If you’re planning to eat there or pick it up, I’d definitely recommend Yum Yum. But until their delivery gets faster, I wouldn’t recommend it for that. If it weren’t for the delivery time, I’d give it 5 stars!

Eat24: delivery right on your Unilocal app OR via the Eat24 app. Yes, I work for Unilocal, but make no mistake about it — Eat24 is the easiest/best way to order delivery food on the interwebs, hands down. It’s so friggin’ easy! Me: feeling lazy, feeling tired and feeling like pants are for suckers, I ordered twenty six dollars’ worth of delightful Mediterranean eats from Yum Yum via Eat24 this past weekend. 2 orders falafel, 2 lentil soups, a beef shawarma plate + a side of hummus = $ 26 Falafel was pretty on point. Lentil soup was incredible. Hummus was solid. Shwarma = aok, much thinner strips than normal, maybe will try in sandwich form or forgo next time… So easy. Just hook up a debit/credit card and it’s in there for always, like Über. Then, just order from your Unilocal app based on delivery options in your area.(More coming to MKE soon, hopefully!) Haven’t tried it yet? Get it here.

Ordered at 11:30 for delivery. Told 1 hour window for delivery. Recalled at 12:35 and was told the driver was just leaving. Food arrives at 12:50pm. Food was hot and delicious as always. Just slow service.

Feelin’ a falafel I popped in to my neighborhood’s popular Yum Yum for a take out treat. The service is always friendly and timely and the food never disappoints. This time, I must say, I’ve gone bonkers over a huge order of some of the best fries I’ve had in a long time. You know, when you just want good fries. You don’t care. You do it without guilt but then get really pissed when they suck but you eat them anyway. These fried beauties were fresh and probably, on average, the length of a dollar bill. Salty, crispy, plentiful– the unicorn of french fries at a fast food place. My falafel stayed snug in its foil cocoon whilst I went to town on them. Poor thing. I’m full now but I went for a few bites of the falafel sandwich anyway. Yum YUM, indeed. I ordered it spicy with extra pickled turnips. The spicy part is a red chili sauce that was lightly drizzled throughout. I highly recommend this place. The food is fresh, the people are nice and it’s locally owned. You can’t beat that.

Best falafel sandwich in Milwaukee. Chicken schwarma is also good. Quick for carry-out and they often have coupons. What is there not to love!

I really like this place. They’re fast, consistent, and good. What more could you ask for out of a take-out place? I’m a big fan of the beef shawarma. The falafel is pretty solid too. The beef kofta wasn’t bad either. I wish I could provide more info but I can’t get past these few menu items! The service has also been very nice, they get good marks for that. Also the price seems to be very reasonable. The portions are definitely on the large side, bring your appetite.

Once I discovered this place I ate here everyday for almost two weeks and that is saying a lot, since I live in Shorewood and I rely on the bus. I have not had any of the meat but all of the veggie options. My faves are falafel, tabouleah, hummus, rose water lemonade and the hot sauce.

I was in the area at lunch time several weeks ago, so I stopped in. I ignored the Chinese Food sign and focused on the middle eastern menu items. I ordered the small order(6 pieces) of falafel for $ 2.49 and the beef shawarma sandwich for $ 5.49. The falafel was prepared well and on par with some of the better falafel I’ve had in town. The beef shawarma was good, but not among the best I’ve had. The meat could have been more tender and could have used more seasoning. The pita bread was also on the cold side. I thought the value was great and this place will do in a pinch for good food on a busy schedule.

Yum Yum is… interesting. I mean that in the nicest possible way. The Mister has been dining here for years but today was my first time. Here’s what you can expect: Atmosphere: there isn’t much. The grass between the sidewalk and curb has been ripped up and replaced with AstroTurf(?). Inside, you make your choice from a Chinese or Middle Eastern menu, order at the counter and either sit in the small, reasonbly clean dining area or take it home. Yum Yum serves a largely Muslim clientele and all of the meat is halal. Drinks: pretty much basic canned soda or rose water lemonade. I had the lemonade and it was«ok» — a little watered down. Aladdins is still the best. Food: Hubs and I both had chicken kefta which was served with rice, veg, roti bread and some pickles. Absolutely monster portion for $ 8.50 — easily splittable. Everything was clearly made fresh and served piping hot off the grill. We had ours«spicy» which I’d recommend if you like some heat — the flavor was great. Service: it’s casual, to say the least. Our food took 20+ minutes even though no one else was there. The Mister says it’s usually faster. Expect to see the owners kids running around. Bottom line, I’m a big fan of divey ethnic places. For what we paid, we got ample portions of fresh, flavorful, authentic food. I really look forward to coming back and sampling more of their menu.

Expanding my food choices from the usual steak places, I let Unilocal find me some shawarma in the airport area. Yum! Yum! would exactly fit with the description«hole-in-the-wall» but that’s not a bad thing. A few tables outside gave me a good impression, so I decided to commit. A plate of hummus to start, followed by shawarma(some spice, but not too spicy please) for my main course. Looking at the cooler of drinks behind the woman who took my order, I chose a 7-Up. I’m guessing that because it’s middle eastern food, that’s why there were no beers. Bummer, but I’ll survive. The food was brought to me a few minutes later. A nice sized portion of hummus with a big plate of shawarma on top of rice. Plus two, yes two, fresh pitas folded and wrapped in foil. I cleaned my plates. The hummus was excellent. Good consistency and not too wet and not too dry with zero lumps. Perfect for scooping, though there was a lot of olive oil on top. The shawarma was also good, though I’m not sure the smaller chopped pieces of beef were what I was expecting. Excellent flavor and the small pot of peppers on the side gave it the right amount of kick. This was good food for a good price and I left with a full tummy. Once you get past the appearance of the place from the outside, you’ll enjoy it!

Went back and it was as awesome as it ever was! Excellent middle eastern food at this quirky Chinese/middle eastern stand with a dining room. Today’s find: Kofta burger for $ 4.99! Amazing and hand formed burger with a middle eastern twist! Yum Yum indeed!
