I was really excited to see they had Caesar salads because a week of eating Wisconsin food and I was done with grease waiting for my flight. It took a while for anyone to acknowledge I was standing there. Finally the Chef came up and asked me what I want. I told him and he pulled out of the fridge a small Tupperware container of lettuce cheese and croutons. He started warming up the chicken and said he would have it right out. They told me that the total was $ 14. I was shocked at the limited amount of food for that price. I come from Scottsdale and am used to paying high prices but I could have gotten two salads for that price. I know it’s the airport, but still. When I got the salad the chicken was freezing and the food was so densely packed I couldn’t spread out the dressing. My biggest thing is, if I’m paying that much, please toss the salad for me! I have eaten the pizza here before and that’s pretty good so maybe that was my mistake! Not a terrible place though, just a little disappointed this time.

By far the best place to eat before your flight or wait out a delay! Great pizza, salads, sandwiches and even a breakfast menu. Drinks are also awesome. Full review of their Bloody Mary at .

Had a spotted cow at the bar. Got a text that my flight was delayed. Left pretty quickly with my tab open. But after the new flight I had to run to catch my new plane. Never had a chance to get back to the restaurant. Tried to call them, but the number on Unilocal was a fax machine. :(sorry.

Food times were slow, order got mixed up! Had to get our food to go in order to catch our flight!

Bottom Line: For an airport eatery, this place was better than average and is located on Concourse C amongst the SWA gates. I had a lay over in Milwaukee and wanted some good quality food. Not fast food, something with some fresh ingredients and that would satisfy my appetite for the next 800 miles. Pizzeria Piccola was buzzing so I figured it was my best bet in the airport. I like that the cozy interior and that the décor allowed me to forget that I was dining in an airport. Even better was the food. I enjoyed a fresh, crisp Caesar salad and thin crust pizza. I really appreciate being able to get a tasty, wood-fired Margherita pizza in the airport. Also great was the friendly service. If I find myself in MKE again, I’ll definitely visit Pizzeria Piccola.

This is of course just an airport pizza place, but I’m still paying for a service. The service was very slow and took over 15 minutes for a refill after I asked for one. The spicy pepperoni pizza was very tasty but small for being $ 10. The kitchen was also not prepared-we got there at 7 and they didn’t close until 9 but they ran out of over ¾ of their menu.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Spicy pepperoni pizza was amazing. Good quality cheese and real pepperoni. Service was friendly and fast. Super impressed that this is inside an airport!

Great pizza and surprising for airport cuisine. Very good service and friendly staff. Wine is a little pricey but you can expect that with a captive audience and white knuckle flyers. Good lunch or dinner stop at MKE.

This place has on my radar for awhile now. I was at the airport and had some time to kill, so I figured this was my shot. The pizza was kind of disappointing. I mean, even when a pizza is bad, it’s still pretty good. But, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here(or any of their locations) again. It just wasn’t my style of pizza. The crust wasn’t that great. I like thin crust, but it was a little too done and burnt. And, it felt a little greasy. The server was outstanding, though. Super fast. Friendly.

I usually fly Southwest and I finally was able to try Pizzeria Piccola at the MKE airport. We were seated right away at the bar. We ordered 2 appetizers and some beers… food came out really quick and was very reasonably priced. The drinks were also very reasonable, especially for an airport. The girls working were very friendly and chatted with us about our vacation. They were also very efficient and made sure all their customers were pleased and in good spirits. I would definitely recommend stopping in here for a quick bite to eat and a pre-flight beverage. I know I’ll be back!

Decent pizza. Thin crust, not too saucy and not too skimpy on the toppings. The downside, the toppings were primarily in the center of the pie which made the crust soggy and limp. Had to fork and knife it for parts.

Got some time to wait at the airport! This is a really nice little pizza joint! They have a decent menu & I would recommend the pizza because it’s made in a pizza oven and had a thin crust. I ordered the Margherita Pizza, the mozzarella was a little sparse, but the sauce was not too sweet and was bursting with the fresh flavor of basil. For dessert I ordered the Salted Carmel Gelato, which was just so sweet & creamy! To top it off my waitress brought with a little sample of the other flavored, that was really cool if her! Job well done!

I have been flying out of MKE for about 3 years now and have frequented this pizza place for the beer and pizza for some time now. I have to say the quality of the pizza has taken a significant slide. The last two times I have eaten here, its almost like they have started undercooking the curst on purpose. They used to give a nice crispy crust with an abundance of toppings. Recently the pizza is always soggy and the toppings scarce. The staff is very friendly and the beer selection kind of sad. They do have spotted cow, but sadly none of the local Milwaukee beer. Despite the significant traffic of people, the staff does a pretty good job keeping up. Overall, the quality of the pizza has suffered, but the staff is still good. Maybe next time I will have to try a sandwich instead.

A welcome surprise from an airport restaurant. The caprese salad was tasty with tomato, mozzarella and basil. The tomatoes weren’t as ripe and juicy as I would have liked but the basil was fresh. What really made the salad pop was the rich balsamic drizzle. It was thick and tangy. Delicious flavors for an airport meal. The minestrone soup was filled with chunks of potatoes, carrots, celery and beans to name just a few ingredients. My only complaint would be that it wasn’t thoroughly steaming hot. Tasty, yes. But, I would have preferred a steaming hot bowl. Overall, an excellent choice in this terminal.

Wow, WAY better than I would ever expect out of airport pizza. The pepperoni pizza was seriously tasty, the gelato was great, and the ladies working the counter were friendly and obviously took pride in the food. The garlic knots were good but just a little too room temperature. A good mix of Dr Pepper with free refills topped it off. We ordered our food for carry-out to eat at our gate, so I can’t speak to the seating annoyances others have mentioned. I would certainly track down their ‘in town’ restaurant if I were in the area. The food quality blows most airport food out of the water(and the prices were not airport terrible, either)!!

Great beer selection and menu. The pizza was light, not the carb injection I feared it would be. Had the Spotted Cow local brew and thought it was refreshing and fun. Service was very attentive and a nice alternative to other airport options. Bumping from three to four stars given its heads above other options at the terminal. Well done.

I’ve had mixed experiences at this Piccola location. The food is generally pretty good, especially for airport food. It’s essentially the same pizza as the Tosa location, which is to say — pretty delicious. Prices(for an airport) are reasonable — my sausage pizza was $ 10 and was more than enough to fill me up. Service is mostly okay too — food seems to come out quickly which is appreciated when you’ve got limited time. So what’s the problem? The pizzas are SUPER greasy — like«use several napkins as blotters» kind of greasy. Consuming something that oily and getting on a packed flight to wherever means you’re really«rolling the dice» so to speak. If you plan to eat here, you’re probably flying Southwest. Pick an aisle seat — you might need to get up «often». If you know what I mean…

This is the same pizza you get from the original location in the village in tosa. The pizza is good and would normally get 4 – 5 stars from me. It only gets three here and the seating can be a bit of a nightmare and the servers don’t control the seats as they should. I’ve had several occasions where large groups with kids have pinned me into my chair /table, then the parents went and sat at the bar. If it’s empty in here, get some ‘za!

This is a great place to have in the airport. I just wasn’t happy with my choice. I think it’s awesome you’re able to get some decent wood fired pizza at the airport(at airport prices). It’s a great change up if you’re sick of the airport chilis or fridays. However I didn’t enjoy the Piccola pizza — there were just too many toppings on it. With this type of pizza, less is more. I think it would have been great if I had gotten just the pepperoni or margherita pizzas. However this pizza will def hold you over for your flight. I would allow at least 15 minutes for your pizza to get done — which is slow for this place, but hey, it’s the airport.

While I was making my way back home the other day, I had some idle time in the Milwaukee airport while I was waiting for my flight. I got a little hungry, so I decided to take a little walk around the airport to look for a place for some grindz. Upon walking around, I stumbled upon a place called Pizzeria Piccola. Hummmmm, pizza for breakfast? Hey, why not? I’ve had it many a times back in my college days… besides, pizza is always good anytime… right? Upon walking in, I seat myself, and the friendly waitress comes by & drops off a menu and takes my drink order. Upon scanning the menu, I ordered an ice tea, & a breakfast pizza. I tell you, in my time I’ve eating a ton of pizza’s, but never a breakfast pizza… this is gonna be interesting. What’s in the breakfast pizza? It was basically ham, eggs, & cheese. What can I say about the grub? Well, I must say a breakfast pizza it was quite interesting for me… the loved the thin crust of the pie, and I loved the concept of the toppings. But after eating the pizza, it tasted a bit salty for me. When I got to the center of the pizza, the egg in the center was made over easy, so when I bit into it, the yolk squirted out making a mess all over the place. Overall, I would say it was just okay for me… like I said before, airport food is airport food. At least it’s better than airline food, unless you’re flying in 1st Class! Lol!
