We ordered two drinks and food. When our drinks arrived at the table we tasted them and they were pretty good. As we were sitting there waiting on our food I noticed 4 flies in my boyfriends drink. When the waitress came over I held up the drink and said you notice those flies in the drink. She claimed they were not there when she personally made the drink. She said she would go make a new one. When she brought the new drink to the table she said she found the bottle of bitters was full of flies because someone had thrown the lid out. The new drink was fine. The food was delicious! When we were ready for our check they have handhelds that just tell you the amount and you can add tip and swipe your card using the handheld at your table. I did not receive an itemized receipt until after I had already paid. Each drink was $ 14.99 and we didn’t even get the contaminated drink comp’ed or reduced price. I would not recommend ordering drinks here, but food is great! We could have had 4 drinks on the plane for the price we paid for our 2 here!

My wife and I stopped there once our flight got delayed. I’m holding strong on a New Years resolution to lose weight so I was just stopping for the Miller 64. I did get a bit hungry and wanted to look at the menu. With an Italian theme I was not expecting a ton, if any, options for me to choose from. I did settle on the margherita pizza and expecting for it to be covered with cheese and calories. I was absolutely astonished what came out. It was a thin crispy crust with just a little bit of cheese and fresh basil! I was so excited! It was absolutely delicious! I will absolutely be stopping back on my next visit to Mitchell!

went here several times as couldn’t get out for 3 days because of weather and flying standby. the service was exceptional especially by ANDREW S. who we saw more times than we had originally planned! the bruschetta was pretty good as was the mimosa and champagne. very nice atmosphere and décor certainly for an airport restaurant. we also had the chicken tortellini which was decent but the chicken panini wasn’t that great. we also had the tomato basil panini which was tasty. what bothered me the MOST is no free wifi!!! for restaurants that’s a must and airports as well. ATL and PHX both have free wifi… as well as others. get with the program MKE!

Wow, this place gone straight south! They used to have decent Neapolitan pizza. I ordered a margherita pizza: pretty simple. It came out in like 2 min with teeny quarter size cheese blobs and chiffonade basil. The sauce was straight from a can. Crust was not the way it used to be either with blister marks. Pretty much a total disappointment. Won’t stop here again!

Beware: any cocktail at this bar is outrageously over-priced. My old-fashioned was $ 17.50 while my entire entrée was only $ 18.05. The service was mediocre at best. I can understand an airport bar charging a little more, but $ 17.50 for one drink is ridiculous.

I’ve been flying to Milwaukee for several years and have eaten here a few times. Last time I ate here was about 6⁄7 months ago and although the food was decent there was nothing that necessarily jumped out at me to warrant a review… But today I had their pizza and I am floored. I live in NY(and we are snobs about our pizza) and I did not expect to find a pizza this good in Milwaukee, let alone at the airport. I got the margarita pizza and put spicy pepperoni on it. Caution to those who can’t handle the fire and recommendations to those who can, the spicy pepperoni has a good kick.

I had an hour to kill before my flight and I wanted a boozy drink and some food to get me through the afternoon. Despite my disgust with all(the exception being Ristorante) Bartolotta locations, it somehow seemed better than a muffin at starbucks. I sat at the bar, and I asked for a gin and tonic. She offered a double and I agreed. Imagine my shock when I saw a $ 12.99 cocktail charged for top-shelf gin on my bill at the end of my meal — isn’t that something most bartenders would ASK before pouring? I assumed I had a rail cocktail, and am glad I didn’t order a second. I asked for a side of caesar salad as the salads listed were all entrée portions. My salad came quickly, and I soon understood why… seemed like it’d been pre-made or mis-made and I was the lucky one to be delivered the brown saggy lettuce and warm dressing. It was a ton of hearts so I picked around and quickly gave up. My pizza was delivered quickly after, and it was a decent size. I got the Four Seasons which was described as coming with black olives, mushrooms, artichoke, and prosciutto. I opted for no shrooms. I was very surprised that the pizza had kalamata olives and not black — HUGE flavor difference between the two, black being much milder and kalamata being quite strong. Either way, I prefer kalamata so I was not angry. I ate the pizza, and it was okay… until about 45 minutes later when my chest was on FIRE. This pizza gave me the worst heartburn! On the flight later my mom mentioned she was hungry and I offered her the last of my pizza — mentioned I didn’t care too much for it. She ate it — and joined the pain-train for the rest of the afternoon. Prices were WAY to high for the quality of brown lettuce, warm dressing and mis-communicated ingredients. The horrible pain I was in later just topped off the poor experience. Don’t «trick» me into ordering something more expensive because you carry an expensive name — not appreciated.

My pizza was awesome. Way better than I was expecting from an airport restaurant. Pizza here is made essentially in the New Haven style, for those of you pizza freaks… except no coal-fired oven. Anyway, this means the bottom crust is thin and slightly chewy, and the outer crust is thicker and crunchy. I LOVE New Haven pizza and this came pretty damn close. Service was prompt and prices fair. I can’t wait to go back for another pizza!

Stopped here before my flight. Service excellent, however, food is mediocre I specialized a personal pizza with chicken and pineapple. The chicken was dry, the pineapples were not sweet at all and the marinara sauce had a weird taste to it. My Bloody Mary was just tomato sauce with some pepper and adopt of vodka in it… I will say that I will it have another pizza there again…

There are a few good things that surprised me about this restaurant. First off, being airport food, I didn’t have high expectations whatsoever, yet, the food tasted pretty good. We ordered a Breakfast Sandwich and a Breakfast Pizza. Instead of having pre-cooked food, the entrees were made to order, which was nice. I really liked the Breakfast Sandwich, which consisted of a fried egg and bacon. It also came with a side of roasted potatoes, which were pretty good. I didn’t enjoy the Breakfast Pizza as much, which may be due to the pancetta. The pizza didn’t have much flavor to it, even though there was so much on it. For an airport restaurant, I would recommend this place for anyone with enough time to sit down and enjoy waiter service. I only wish the food was less greasy.

I stopped here for dinner before my flight home. I could smell the pizza as I was approaching the restaurant and made up my mind that’s what I was having. It was seat yourself so my coworker and I walked around to look for a table. All of the empty ones, about 4 tables, had dirty napkins and plates on them. We finally just sat down at one and a server came by quickly and wiped it down. If I were the manager I’d have tables cleaned immediately after a guest leaves, but that’s just me. We ordered mozzarella balls with marinara sauce, a bowl of creamy potato soup with roasted cauliflower and prosciutto, and a four season pizza. The pizza came with olives, mushrooms, artichoke, and prosciutto. The server asked me if I wanted a little bit of each topping on each slice because it generally comes in 4 slices and one of the toppings on each. I thought that was was really strange. If I wanted an only mushroom, or only artichoke I’d just order that. I’m getting the four season pizza because it all sounded tasty together. Odd. The mozzarella balls came first. It was a fried ball of cheese with marinara. Good, but nothing special. The plating could have used some work. It was a big plate with the balls plopped on it and a little sauce bowl. There was too much negative space on the plate. My soup was taking a while so I checked to make sure she had the order. She said she placed it to come up with the pizza. I kind of assumed I’d get it beforehand but was too tired to say anything. The pizza came, it had my favorite crust. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. No soup. She said she’d be back with it. My soup came. It was luke warm, almost cold. The flavors were delicious, creamy and rich, and the roasted cauliflower added depth to it. I would have loved it hot. The pizza was okay, visually it looked better than it tasted. I enjoyed the crust but the rest of the pizza was floppy. I love thin crust pizzas, but with a crispy crust. When I picked up a slice it like a wet rag. This place looked like a better Italian restaurant than it actually was. But it’s also in an airport, I guess I shouldn’t be so disappointed.

Came here with the team for a last lunch in Milwaukee before going home. Most of us ordered the pizza, but I ordered the pesto penne pasta with a side of garlic knots. The garlic knots were dry, I would skip those. The pasta was good, but I would have liked more mushrooms. The service was spotty, but I think there was only 1 waiter. My water stayed empty for a while, and their choices of beers are extremly limited. Overall pretty much what I would expect from an airport restaurant.

Well, as per usual I’ve had airport food at airport prices with airport quality. That quality being low. Though up front I will commend the lovely service in here on a Sunday afternoon. Attentive and smiling. Now, as for the food and drink, that’s another story. I started with a Bloody Mary and it was all Mary, no bloody. I couldn’t finish it. This town has spoiled me on really good ones. I had the pork bucatini which looked and smelled great. The noodles were well done and tasty but the pork was ground up yesterday meat that was drowning in herbs and spices. I’d rather just go get some chorizo. The bread sticks that are very literally sticks were a big help in soaking up some of the yikes. I love the Bartollatas restaurants in town and would go back. This however is not up to snuff with those places. It’s better airport food, but still just that.

I have to admit this was some pretty good yummy Italian goodness. I feel like most airport food is really not the good — so I was surprised to find something I’d actually come back for or choose again while at the Milwaukee airport. For airport food this was pretty dang good. I had the plain spaghetti marinara and I don’t know if it was just what I was craving or if it was just that good. Either way it really hit the spot and was a good way to pass the time before catching our flight. The service was excellent — seated right away, attentive and friendly server. And most importantly — quick! I’d definitely come back here flying out of MKE again. If you are flying out of concourse D at MKE and you have the time I’d recommend eating here. Good portion kept my full and was a tasty treat for my long journey back home to Honolulu.

I have to start by saying I have only had the gelato and wine at this restaurant but enjoyed my quick stop while stranded at the Milwaukee airport today. I asked about gelato because a sign out front said they have it(among other Italian things) and I didn’t see it on the menu(been staring at standby lists too long). The bartender listed their flavors of the day and I was sold immediately when she described the«biscotti» flavor as «creamy peanut butter»! She swirled it with chocolate Oreo crunch for me and the result was light and yummy! I also tried a Chardonnay from the north coast of California and received a hefty 5(closer to 8) ounce pour for $ 8. Not bad at all for airport prices! I enjoyed my experience enough that I’d come back and try the pasta or pizza next time!

I’m very impressed! I suppose I’m that rare customer that’s never eaten at a Bartolotta restaurant before, but you gotta start somewhere. A famous restauranteer shouldn’t have any weak links, and I’m pleased to report that Nonna is most certainly not a weak link! I started with a delightful bowl of their soup, which changes daily but was Tomato Basil today. Their basic pasta with marinara was next, and it was just perfect. The noodles had that wonderful airy lightness that spaghetti is supposed to have, and the sauce was clearly made fresh. I savored every bite. The service was wonderful, my server was friendly and attentive throughout. I love feeling like a guest and not a check. Bravo Mr Bartolotta! Can’t wait to try another of your restaurants!

Inside Terminal D at MKE airport. First time eating here at Nonna B’s. I know its more of a pizza place, but when I saw a Tuna Panini sandwich on the menu, the description looked so good, I ordered it. The server didn’t ask me nor did I ask her about sides that came with the sandwich, so I wasn’t expecting one. I was surprised to find that it was accompanied by roasted(or pan fried -??) red potato cubes that were nicely browned and seasoned with a bit of garlic. They were really good. I wasn’t sure what kind of tuna was going to come on the sandwich when I ordered(I was distracted by my delayed flight out of MKE and was busy rearranging plans) and was a bit disappointed to see that the sandwich was canned«light» tuna; not white meat albacore, OR seared Ahi? For the price, $ 10.75, I was holding out hope that it might be. It also was not on a traditional Panini style roll, but on what looked like sliced sourdough bread that was Panini style grilled. The sandwich had mayo and chopped egg on it. Although it was not what I expected, it wasn’t bad and the«light tuna» did not have a bad taste or smell to it. Having said that, the menu description of the sandwich was totally more upscale compared to what was served. Service: Outstanding job by server Katie who was friendly and efficient. Ambience: Nice space and a bit more comfy than your usual airport eating spots. Maybe I’ll stop in here again when I have my next delay at MKE and try their pizza.
