Omega Restaurant

The food is huge. My food was too salty. The service was good.
I think their food deserve 3 stars but the service. i would be 5. I would go back because you will get what you pay. I mean the price is reasonable for the food.

As long time customers we’ve gone thru several changes in management over the years. This last takeover has pretty much forced us away for good though.
It was bad enough when they changed the family atmosphere by adding several huge TVs to play sports on.
For months every visit showed a new menu that another of my favorite dishes had disappeared from. The roast pork, the whitefish, even the deliciously huge club sandwiches are gone! Not only that, but the «cheapskate moves» on their part totally pissed us off and we started leaving with hard feelings, rather than the warm glow that we used to from a great dinner out. Examples are taking away the free refills on soda, stopping the endless rolls and butter… you’re allowed one roll now, you must pay for extras, their big portions are gone as well.
Unless I’m in the mood for breakfast for dinner, there is nothing on the menu I enjoy anymore, so we won’t be back.
It’s really a shame, Omega used to be one of our favorites, and the place we would always bring out of town visitors.

I was in for breakfast this morning. The food was good the service was good. It took only 6 minutes to receive my food. I was so pleased with everything. Love love love this place

Terrible dinner and service. I expect better from a ‘daily special’. I ordered ‘boiled chicken and dumplings’. It came as pale, lifeless boiled chicken, two biscuits and unnatural yellow salty gravy over all. It has to be the most awful thing I’ve seen or tasted. The manager argued with me about taking it back (thought the customer was always right?). The service was as non-​existent. Will certainly not return!!!

Went to Omega for my nieces Christening party. The food was okay, but the wait staff was really great. Super friendly and courteous to the mother of the baby, and the family.

I love that they’re 24 hours. Huge menu and food has always come quickly. They had excellent crisp fries, which surprised me as fries are usually sub par at big family restaurants like this. My only criticism is the general service is a bit unfriendly, especially the older gentleman who appears to run the place and barely speaks when you check out, etc. Overall I would continue to go here

The food is good quality and plentiful. Nothing fancy, but always a wide range of vegetarian choices. The service rates five stars, from host to busboy.

The Omega is my in-​laws favorite restaurant: huge portions of bland food served quickly by pleasant wait staff.
This is a great place if you want to «eat», but not a great place if you want to «dine.»

This is my second trip here. Diner in every sense of the word. Greek style, Mexican cooks. (very positive intention)
The menu is pretty normal… however they have great specials and REAL soup. I tried the special on my first trip, skirt steak, black beans and rice.DELICIOUS.
This trip, I went for a staple. chicken cutlet, gravy and rice. mmm mmm mmm.
Most of the dinner items come with soup/​salad, entrée, potato and wine or a dessert, for around 10.00. Fabulous.
Waitresses come in a variety of «fun».mostly very attentive and aware of what it takes to get good tips.
Definitely a repeat.

I’ve been coming here for over 15+ years and it’s my go to restaurant. The food is excellent and the portions are big and decently priced. The only downside is since the management changed a few years ago the food hasn’t been as great as it was before (hence the 4 stars) but overall still my favorite place to eat in Milwaukee.

Bad service ! Waiter forgot a lot of things ! Manager never came to check on us ! Horrible!

Lovely place. I was seated as soon as I walked in. The staff is very friendly. Food was delish and it was perfect timing. I’m from Cali and visited twice on my trip here. I will return and bring more friends!

The service at this place is ALWAYS top-​notch, and I’m a sucker for good service! My daughter is convinced even the water here tastes better than IHop, mostly because the service is so seemingly individualized.
Today:
~It’s always busy here, but you never wait long for hot, fresh food. No exception today.
~The spanokopita was prepared beautifully, flakey crust, good ratio of spinach… wasn’t expecting so much cream cheese inside, but it was still delicious.
~Strawberry pancakes… well, half the shortstack with a side of bacon was enough food to launch my 9 year old into full on pancake sweats.
~We each left with enough left overs to constitute a full dinner, or breakfast tomorrow.
~Good prices… especially for how much food you get!
~EXCELLENT SERVICE! POLITE, RESPONSIVE, PERSONABLE, AND PROMPT. It illustrates, good service still exists. People haven’t made it impossible to give good service… today we had Lisa. She’s awesome!!!
Decent food, bumped up to great food because of amazing service and a friendly atmosphere.

Very poor service waitress didn’t even bother with us. Cold food. Nasty food. I got a Caesar salad and it was basically lettuce and parmesan. Very disappointed no tip will be served.

Best Greek salad in the area! Would give them 5 stars but 3 out of 4 times they forget the anchovies even though I ask for them. The steak and chiquillies are fantastic! Service is usually fast and attentive. Over the past year, this place has gotten so much better as well as the menu!

Go there if you wanna get shot!!! I went there and two guys got into a fight and one pulled out a gun. We as the customers had to call the cops because all the workers just brushed it off! Ghetto establishment.

I came here with a co-​worker at night (probably around 11:30 pm). The service was pretty good and we were greeted by our server right away. The food came quickly and it was delicious. I ordered an omelette and it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be but that meant I had leftovers and lunch for the next day. The waiter was attentive but not over-​bearing as some can be late at night. He didn’t try to rush us either when we decided to sit and chat for a few minutes after our meal before leaving.
If this is how they are every time, I will be back again.

Omega restaurant is just one of those places that you know what your going to get before you enter the door. Omega has been on 27^th street for a long time I can’t even imagine this corner to be anything different. However, I always order the Mexican omelette with cheese and onions on crispy hash browns, all wrapped with a flour tortilla .So in closing, happy eating.

Cheap, fast and delicious! That has always been my Omega experience. I had the Chicken Skillet. This was very delicious, and had lots of chicken, cheese and hash browns topped with eggs. My son had the usual. Two eggs, hash browns and sausage. He enjoyed it all. My mom had the steak skillet and said it was good. Waitstaff were courteous and attentive. My son, always one to steal the show, had fun with one of the waitresses. Any place that takes time to make my son comfortable is top-​notch in my book.
My history with Omega had been one visit after senior prom was over, a couple visits after a night out dancing in my 20s and that’s it. I had totally forgotten about this place until my mom mentioned it. I am glad that I revisited with an open mind, and hopefully I can make it back there soon.

Omega is everything you’d expect from a good breakfast place. Good, fast, inexpensive food from friendly people.
We were seated immediately in the large dining room and our food came out maybe 5 minutes after we ordered it. The portions were large and tasty. There’s nothing fancy here, but why does breakfast need to be fancy? The menu has most of your standard breakfast fare and no froo-​froo business here.
