Spas ain’t just for ladies! What an amazing experience. The entire environment at Neroli is calm and relaxing. I had excruciating pain in my neck and back, so I booked a massage with Marissa, and wow, it was incredible! She was able to work the areas that were giving me the most trouble, and she was so good about using as little or as much pressure as I wanted or needed. At the end, I could move my head again and it was glorious. I will definitely be making a return visit to her! Other highlights at Neroli: the complimentary foot soak(OMG), and the steam shower(HOLY F), and of course, the amazing smells!

I loved my experience at Neroli! I wanted a pleasant and relaxing experience, which is just what I received. I had a facial with Theresa, and she was completely amazing. I ‘d reccomend her to anyone looking for a pampering and relaxing facial, or for anyone lookking to enhance their skin. I left the hot tub feeling radiant, comfortable and luminous. Thanks:)

LOVED my experience here. I’m an avid runner with a very full race calendar so I feel like I’m always battling new aches and pains but I am not as good as I should be about taking the time to address those. Needless to say, by the time I came in here I was in desperate need of a massage. My boyfriend and I went together as it was my birthday surprise to him. We liked this spa because everything was felt very high end and it didn’t have an overly feminine vibe– my boyfriend and I both felt relaxed and comfortable. Especially enjoyed the pre massage foot soak and the awesome tea selection. Set the stage well for relaxation and really felt like an escape even though this place is right in downtown Milwaukee. The extra perks were top notch, but even without those, this was the BEST massage I’ve ever had. Definitely relieved my aches and got into some of the worst knots. Loved that they also let you pick an essential oil. Nice touch. Extra nice touch was getting to use all of the aveda products in the post massage shower. Can’t wait to come back here. This is now my number one spot for a massage in Milwaukee.

Absolutely amazing! The steam shower and bathrooms are gorgeous. Amber gave the best massage I’ve ever had. My husband and I got a couples massage, very relaxed environment, clean, modern, friendly. The waiting room is dark and quiet with a waterfall, great vibes during the pre massage foot soak. Left there feeling pampered and relaxed. Worth every penny. We have already planned a trip back!

I recently got a color and cut from Eric and it was the best experience from a hair stylist i have ever received! He was attentive to my wants, easy to talk to and went above and beyond to make sure my experience there was top notch. I have gone to other stylist at neroli but I will stick with Eric and you should too!

This place offers steam shower before and after with a massage!!! It’s included with the price. Awesome waiting area with ambiance and tea! 3 stars because the massage therapist differ in amount of time and attentiveness with a 60 minute. I had two very different experiences! It is what it is. The steamer and shower really makes all the difference once again. I will go back and choose my LMT carefully!

Ambiance of the spa waiting area is amazing and the hot tea is SOOO good. Enjoy a foot spa while you wait for your massage therapist. The bathrooms are awesome, completely stocked with Aveda products and a steam shower to clean up after. The essential oils used in the aromatherapy are so relaxing. My husband and I both loved this spa, hope to return!

I love coming to see Sepideh for my hair. She gives me THEBEST blowout that I only otherwise would get in New York or LA. Also, my balayage and color has never looked so good. She always delivers!

My wife’s very favorite spa. She enjoys very deep tissue and this is one of the deepest she has ever received. She also said that they take their time and you don’t feel rushed. While pricey you get your monies worth.

I can’t say enough about the wonderful day my two friends and I had at the Bayshore location of Neroli. Exceeded our expectations. From beginning to end, fabulous! The services: 2 of us had massages(Elemental Nature and Aveda Hydrotherm) each with the scalp conditioning massage add on. The other had the Elemental Nature facial with the Botanical Eye treatment add on. All three of us had manicures and pedicures. Then we ended the day with shampoo, blow dry and style. Our group coordinator from guest services, Helena, was great to work with and communication was excellent. Helena arranged for us to have lunch at the spa so we didn’t have to shower mid-day. Our on-site concierge was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely go back. I highly recommend this spa!

I have been going to Neroli and regularly having my hair cut there, so when the make-up artist I booked for my wedding went MIA, it made sense that I would go to Neroli for my bridal hair and make-up. Booking was pretty easy. I called and was put into contact with a wedding concierge who helped coordinate appointments and stylists. As it got closer to my date, I called back and scheduled my hair and make-up trial to be done over my bachelorette party weekend. I figured, this would be the ultimate test. My hair trial was on Friday morning and it looked beautiful, it did start to fall out by 2pm. The stylist used my hair extensions and was able to replicate the style I brought in. My friend repinned and sprayed it at home and I made a note to myself that I would have to tell her to use more product next time, but still gave it a 3⁄5 stars. The make-up was Saturday morning at 8am. I thought this would be perfect because it was not super hot, but the weather was about what I expected at my wedding, AND we were going to a Brewers game. This would be the ultimate test of longevity, right? Initially, they had booked my appointment for a regular make-up application, which wasn’t the Artist’s fault, but caused things to be a little bit rushed, however, the make-up turned out beautifully. I learned through my trial that Aveda make-up styling is intentionally more muted so other reviewers that mentioned they didn’t like it may not have realized this or had a trial and realized this. The airbrush was flawless and the eyeshadow/cheek color was perfect, but I wanted a more dramatic eyeliner, so my artist said I could bring in my everyday liner(which is a jet black) and she would use it on day-of. When I got home, I went over the muted eye-liner with my everyday eyeliner, and I loved it. As far as longevity, by the end of the baseball game my make-up still looked flawless. I was confident I could dance all night at my wedding, even in 85 degree weather, and I wouldn’t look like a hot mess. On the day of, my whole bridal party, as well as my mom, had hair and make-up done. For hair, my mom, having short hair, had a blow dry & style, the rest of us had formal finishing/up-dos. As for make-up, we all had air-brush application and I had eyelashes as well as brought my own hair extensions(extra $ 15?). We brought champagne and juice to make mimosas, and they had stemware ready for us so we didn’t have to worry about that. Additionally, everyone was really flexible and welcoming to the entire cinematography/photography team that we had, which was five extra people. And, I brought my own eyeliner(as discussed in my trial) and mentioned to my hair stylist that I needed more product this time. My eyeliner was dark and my hair still looked perfect. I only needed to add one pin the whole night. By the end of the night, we all still looked great. Thank you, Neroli! P. S. It was already very fairly priced with hair and air-brush makeup costing around $ 130 for the level of stylists that we had, but I also bought gift cards during one of their gift card promotions(buy X, get X free) and it made it an even better value. Keep in mind different artists/stylists bill at different rates.

Very happy with my salon experience at Neroli! I worked with Sepidah for a wedding hair and makeup trial and then decided to have her do the hair and makeup for the wedding. She’s pleasant to work with, funny and personable. Professional, while being humorous when needed and very patient with the parents and many interruptions. I really enjoyed the experience of being in the salon. I will admit, I was hesitant at first because I came into Neroli from out of town and I have very thick curly hair which frizzes all too easily. Sepidah was able to do my hair for my wedding in the morning and it unbelievably lasted ALLDAY in the humidity at our outdoor wedding. Phenomenal! I got so many compliments on my hair that day. I also had her do my wedding makeup, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. After our trial, I had a few concerns, however Sepidah quickly returned my call, addressed my concerns, and assured me that on my wedding day we would get it just right… and she did! My makeup lasted all day and it was wonderful. Thank you so much for making my hair and makeup fantastic!

I was in town for a few short days and in need of a cut and partial highlights. I am so pleased with my decision to give this salon a try. My stylist, Madison, provided a wonderful service and I could not be happier with the results.

I have almost three years away from Neroli and my previous review. A move back to Milwaukee had me return to my stand-by and loved salon. I’m of the opinion that it’s now overrated. Exhibit A: The move in locations. The change of just a few blocks and combining with IBW makes practical sense. However, I do not find it to be the same relaxing atmosphere that it once was. When you arrive, you are seated in a space in front of the salon chairs and offered the traditional water, Aveda tea, or coffee. What is off-putting to me is the way the coloring and hair wash area is out in the open, the hustle of people coming and going, and the more intense and less-spa like vibe the new space holds. If I were paying for a massage and seated in this area I would be annoyed. I’m typically all for change but this one seems to be a step down from the previous location. Exhibit B: Finding a stylist. I raved previously about Ashley, but unfortunately she left. I have found it difficult to find a stylist who makes the $ 130+ cut and color worth it. I’ve been back for five haircuts since returning to the area. The first two were terrible experiences. I couldn’t seem to get on the same page with the stylist in regards to color and she was often so jittery that once she cut my ear. No offer of compensation was made for this error. My more recent experiences with Grace have been much better. I sadly feel the Third Ward location is overpriced and I often feel like all staff are pushing the products. I get it. There is good money made in the add-ons and those $ 16 bottles of shampoo do smell amazing but I would feel better about it if the atmosphere and service matched the experience of the old Neroli I loved.

I came here strictly for hair products. After some very bad experiences in Milwaukee with younger sales associates(terrible experience at lululemon, see earlier review) it was quite refreshing to find employees who went out of their way to help me out at this salon. I thought I knew what I wanted but the front desk attendant offered to help me out when I entered the store, and did a great job. The associate who rung me up was also a sweetheart and offered to call Aveda to get my points added. Thank you Neroli salon, for proving my opinion about the younger employees in Milwaukee wrong.

Laura completely made up for the fact that no one acknowledged me in the slightest when I walked in. The place is freakin huge, and the cucumber lemon infused water is refreshing. I opted for the stress relieving manicure, which starts at $ 43…mine was $ 45. The prices vary based on the experience of whoever helps you with whatever service you need. $ 45 felt worth it for the awesome color I got, the hand massage, the warm towel, the lavender and lime aromatherapy, and the back, neck and head chair massage at the end. The best 50 – 60 minutes I’ve had in a long time. And that can be contributed to Laura. When I have an occasion or need to be pampered again, I’ll be back.

Neroli in the Third Ward is Fancy with a capital F. If I sound a little redneck, so be it. I appreciate a good salon but Neroli was more than I’d bargained for(I admittedly bargained for less than a $ 50 cut.) Modern, trendy atmosphere. If memory serves, I was given a warm hand towel when I walked in(about six months ago) and there was cucumber water available in the lobby. All very nice, if that’s what you’re about, but it’s more than I need at an Aveda salon. As a first-time client they paired me with a veteran stylist who was good at cutting hair but not great at understanding what I’d asked for, which was an a-line bob; not a one-length, chin-length cut. It wasn’t a bad cut, it just wasn’t what I requested. And I paid a pretty penny for it. I always get my hair cut at Aveda salons but I’m personally happier at one that’s a little smaller and warmer in atmosphere. Probably won’t return to Neroli downtown, but if you’re looking for a big, upscale salon, and you’re willing to pay big, upscale prices, Neroli would be a good fit.

I had probably the worst Aveda experience I have ever had at the Third Ward location last week. I arrived and they did not have my appointment even though I had confirmed through their text message based confirmation system. They did accommodate me with another stylist but they should have compensated me for the inconvenience since I was going specifically to see a certain stylist. Mind you, this is not the first time this has happened. I had a cut and color scheduled and when I got there they said they didn’t have time to do my cut. I was also using a certificate with Aveda points I had accumulated and I was told my charge would be one price but when I looked at my receipt they never honored my certificate. I am so disappointed because I love Aveda and I have always had a good experience but the last two trips to the Third Ward have left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Follow-up: I was called about my review and was offered a 10% discount for my next service … 10% is absurd.

I would like salon owners to take note. There are many women these days with very short hair, and we should not be charged the same amount as women with 5 times the hair we have. I have hair that barely reaches my ears. I was charged SEVENTYONE dollars for an «up do» and styling when my hair can literally not be styled up as I don’t have enough hair to even be put into a pony tail. My friend, the bride, chose Neroli for her hair services and I should have known I was in too deep when I walk in and see multiple women wearing fur coats and sunglasses while sitting in the waiting area. Is Neroli a nice salon? Sure! Did they have great customer service? You bet. But my hair«style» took 20 minutes to do and I was charged the same as some in my party who had hair to the middle of their backs and whose hair took nearly an hour. If you do the math, my gal would be earning 200 dollars an hour if she did 3 hairstyles like mine in an hour. That is ludicrous! My hair was teased, flat ironed a bit, and sprayed down to high heaven. Oh wait, they did put 4 bobby pins in my hair, I bet that is where the extra 51 dollars came in. That is bull shit Neroli and it is very safe to say I would not recommend this salon for anyone on a budget. Hell I don’t think I would recommend this to anyone, period. Make an appointment upstairs at the Institute and save yourself the 50 bucks. To make the situation even better, yesterday was super windy and as soon as I stepped outside my hair fell flat. There goes 70 bucks down the toilet!

Although I have only had massages at Neroli, it is the best Salon/Spa experience I have ever received. I only go to Aveda locations because I like the products and there’s a standard to which Aveda locations are held to. Today I had my third massage with Zuzia, and she is incredible. Despite having had a few months between each massage, she always remembers me and what we worked on last time, which is a nice feeling for something as intimate as a massage. The facilities are fantastic, the steam shower is great, the locker rooms are always clean, they always have a nice selection of beverages for you to enjoy during your service, and all of the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. I hope to try many more services here!
