The staff are very welcoming. The regular karaōke crowd is amazing and the owners really care about their bar. I love going there!

Great place for karaōke on a Friday night(they have karaōke other nights too). Reasonable prices on drinks, a friendly crowd, and a rockin karaōke DJ.

Generous and hospitable. A real gem. Don’t be fooled by the generic karaōke bar look. This bar is something special. It’s the people that make it special.

They don’t want to be a Karaōke bar, but after some persuasion that’s what they did & we had a lot of fun

Descriptive phrase: friendly sports/karaōke bar. The Mason Jar is a relative newcomer to the Westown area, right across the street from the newly-opened Build-a-Burger restaurant. You’d almost miss it if it weren’t for the dark awning out front. Three of us came in on a Saturday night around 10PM and it was empty. That being said, we had a great time. The owner and a bartender were there to talk to us about the business and all its happenings. We watched some basketball on their many TVs. They also have a couple old arcade games. Eventually a few more people trickled in and we got karaōke up and running. The space itself is taken up mostly by the bar, which juts into the middle of the floor. It’s cozy, though not cramped. Everything, I’m talking EVERYTHING, is served in mason jars. Their signature drink, the Mason Jar, is pricey but delicious(and deadly, with hidden tequila). Apparently it gets pretty popular on certain nights not just with karaōke but with plenty of other events and some Marquette college nights. It’s got some work to do to be a destination, but the owner is working it right. Make it a late night stop one of these days.
