Divino Wine & Dine

Came in last night with a bunch of guys (8) for our every 3 month get-​together and had a wonderful experience. We had meals from Sicilian steak to Spedini to Baked Rigatoni and they were all superb. We also shared a double order of fried eggplant with a warm marinara sauce for dipping for an appetizer and it was done just right. Our waitress, Crissa was really on the ball and helped make our night one to remember. Thanks to you all. Be assured we’ll be back

I can’t recall a more lackluster meal in Milwaukee (and we’ve lived here for over a decade). Red sauce was uninspiring and the alfredo was goopy and chalky. Yes, portions are impressive. That does not make up for the bland food. Olive Garden is better,– no joke. Can’t understand why this is so popular.

I have never ordered delivery or pickup from here (seems there’s a pattern of disappointment). My girlfriend and I have only dined in (several times) and have always been happy. The waitstaff has always been extremely helpful and kind and the food here is fantastic (specifically the burrata caprese). I saw one guy on here say «this place makes Olive Garden seen authentic»? Yeah, well that guy is an idiot. He probably thinks Panda Express is authentic Chinese and McDonalds has the best hamburgers.

If you want seriously great food and service, go to Divino’s! I am visiting from San Diego and was so glad my friend suggested we stop for pizza, salad, and beer after a movie at the nearby Oriental theater. Order extra! We were delighted to have leftovers to wolf down today!

In fairness I decided to update my review because we all have things out of our control.
I talked with the owner (actually he reached out to me in that he had my phone number on my order) and he explained the problem they had that night with the delivery service, he also apologized for the lack of communication with me as the customer. I agreed to try them again.
My follow up order arrived on time, hot and most importantly DELICIOUS. I have changed my mind and I WILL «make this mistake again».

I ordered delivery online at 7:04PM, received a confirmation with an estimated delivery time of 7:54PM, with the bad weather I allowed for a generous cushion and called at 8:54PM and they didn’t know if it had left the building yet.
Never received the order, they stated they were having trouble with their delivery service, but never bothered to contact me the customer. I will never make the mistake of trying Divino again.

Fantastic food on a consistent basis the eggplant is wonderful as is the bolognese my favorite. Good Friday fish fry service spectacular along with the caesar salad. Very reasonable prices.

Alright, so to be 100% honest, I have only been here for happy hour, and the options are plentiful and easy on the wallet.
I can fully admit my obsession with wings (and for that matter, a great blue cheese dressing) and after having been all around this fine city for wings I’m happy to announce the wings at divino’s are THE best! Seriously, hands down. Similar to points east in cooking style and the one flavor option, but the do it better. Every wing is packed with flavor, it’s like getting the best dorito in the bag (cool ranch, obvi) with every bite. The wings are only available for happy hour and they often run out (probs ’cause they are having to keep up with the demands of myself and my homies), so get there early!
Their pizza is also fantastic! Just the perfect balance of everything you’d want out of a pizza.
Service is also stellar, Betsy, the bartender makes everyone feel welcome and she does a great job of remembering names, past drink orders and food preferences!

This is mainly a review of their happy hour… and more specifically, the wings. Oooomg. Alright, so of all things in an Italian restaurant… wings, right? But I don’t think I’ve ever had better wings than these. They’re only listed on the happy hour menu, but I believe you can ask for them anytime. It’s a secret recipe, prepared in the holy-​trinity of processes: fry, bake, grill. seasoned and marinated between each step. I also tried the pizza, and it was delicious as well.
The environment is nice and intimate, the service was great, and I was super pleased with the happy hour options and prices. The full menu is large, and looked packed with a lot of tasty dishes… using the wings and pizza as references, I’m sure they do a lot of things correct here. I honestly didn’t walk into this pice expecting such great food, but I’m happy to throw up a big yaaaaas. I’ll definitely be back [soon] to try more.

Everything came nice and hot. the waiter was very attentive and the meal was very very good with very large portions even the mazzini was enough to take some home

The food and service here is always excellent! Mezza option is plenty of food, even for someone with a healthy appetite for pasta. I wish they would bottle and sell the tarragon butter, I would pay good money!

I believe we have finally found a great pizza restaurant in the city area. While we had good pizzas at other places, they lacked the atmosphere and ambiance that Divino has. Service from the bartender named Betsy was great and friendly. She recommended a very good house wine and made our visit very pleasant

Have not been let down by Divino yet, always the tastiest food and most personable staff in Milwaukee. Divino knows what they’re doing.

I am a huge pizza lover. I have tried Zaffiro’s, Lisa’s, Balistreri’s on Wells and Pizza Man. These are all fine pizzas. I think that Divino’s is the best pizza. One of their Pizza menu items is the Palermo. The pizza contains Cheese, Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushroom and Onion. Of course try any of their pizza choices or build your own. Their Eggplant Marinara appetizer is wonderful. Talk about large pieces and super light breading. This eggplant is perfect. Not greasy and not at all beer-​batter looking. Far from it!
Okay, here’s my problem. When you order the pizza it is wonderful. However, for me the secret of the pizza is that it is hand tossed and delicious. Here’s the catch. They actually have a selection built into their ordering system with «Thin as a selection». So here’s the problem. Their hand tossed is incredible. However, I have been ordering my pizza and asking for thin crust. It is so delicious my mouth is watering. Also, don’t be afraid of thinking that by ordering a thin crust your toppings will suffer and you will get less. You don’t get less. You will have to visit more than once and try it on the menu or try it thin. Let them know what you think. Bring a group in and order a few of them each way.
Let me describe one of their wonderful middle slices. It is totally cooked on the bottom in a great seasoned pizza oven. A slightly dark beautiful brown crust, with bits of corn meal on the bottom and the best of all, the slice is like a genie carpet. You know where it is totally cooked and yet you have to hold it with two hands. I suggest having your pizza on a plate and taking your time and using a fork and knife and eat slowly and savor the pizza.
Last but not least, I had an order where I asked if I could have less pepperoni and a little bit more sausage. I asked the staff if they would mind. The owner told me that the Pizza Chefs actually like getting special requests and are very proud of their pizza making skills. They take their job very serious. I mean I love pizza so much that I always say give me sauce to the edges, plenty of cheese and a couple of nice brown bubbles on top so I know my pizza is cooked to perfection! I asked for it and they were happy to oblige. They don’t mind.
Way to go Divino’s Wine & Dine. I love you guys. You’re the best! True pizza lovers know that you have one of the top pizzas in the world. Keep up the great work Dean and Tina!

I like Divino a lot. The bartender is super friendly and the food is amazing. I come here frequently as there is not a lot of «nice» restaurants around the North Ave east side. Good pizza, outstanding garlic bread, excellent pasta and good salads. This is my go to when I want something other than a burger.

This place was amazing!!! You can taste the freshness! The pizza was one of the best I have in Milwaukee, and he calamari was amazing. The atmosphere was very charming. It was super busy and the service was still excellent! I’ll be back for sure!

I wanted to like it more. The place itself is pretty, especially the bar area. Our server was very courteous and helpful with the menu. But the food just wasn’t anything special. We ordered garlic bread that tasted like slightly warmed bread with garlic powder sprinkled on top. They serve regular bread too on the table… that’s cold. Not warmed in the slightest. I ordered the Mediterranean pizza. I thought the toppings were fine but the crust kind of ruined it. It’s crispy crust but really hard and didn’t have much taste to it. Next time I’m going to try some pasta instead. Not a bad place to eat, I just think they could step it up with their pizza and attention to detail.

This is such a great gem to find in the neighborhood
We stopped by here Sunday night and it was Devine.
Their arancini is good must try (we had the meat so good)
Crissa was our waitress on and we got to see her again today when we came in for the second time .
Such a great feeling when you walk it, also a nice place to go for wine and catch up with friends for drinks. And their music selection is great which I love.
We are going to recommend this to other friends and we will be coming back to sample more of their food

Pretty standard mom/​pop pasta/​red sauce place. Cheap and very forgettable. Felt like I was in New Jersey, but with friendlier staff.
Wine should definitely not be in the name. The wine list was a laughable combination of the most prosaic grocery store wines ever seen.

First time ordering from here. Me and my boyfriend got the Palermo pizza adding green and black olives, along with the calamari .The add ons are a little expensive being a additional $ 2.00 each. They also forgot the marinara sauce (which is ironic because I had read a review before placing my order in which they also forgot the marinara sauce in theirs). Maybe they have a vendetta against the tomato side sauce… That being said, it is amazing pizza and fresh calamari ! The delivery guy was a bit of a crab apple. We will definitely be ordering from them again :) May I also add the pizza has a air of fluffiness in which no words can even begin to describe, one must order to understand ! They also partner with grubhub and offered a 2 litter bottle of soda for free with purchase of $ 25 or more !

Overall very nice. We did not have a reservation on a Saturday night around 6, but they found a way to seat us right away, at a table in the corner by the emergency exit… but that’s okay, no reservation. We told our server we were in a bit of a hurry, and she was very accommodating, got our order in right away and clearly paid close attention to our timing.
The food was good, I had the Fettuccine Alfredo. Not the healthiest of dishes, but it tasted good and was a large portion. We also got salads with our entrée, good quality of ingredients and delicious balsamic vinaigrette.
