The few bad reviews really perplex me. The quality to price point make this place a pretty good bargain. Everything is very clean. The service is way above par! Someone else pointed out that they have a great sense of humor… I agree. The free breakfast is excellent. Clean pool. Hot jacuzzi with strong jets. Free relatively fast WiFi. What’s not to like?!

I purchased 1 night thru Expedia, my confirmation clearly said free parking but they charged $ 5 a day, Also I was assured 4 people in a room would be no extra charge but it was $ 10 — so I paid an additional $ 41.65 that I do not think was right. So much for getting what you expected…

If you stay at Country Inn & Suites often, and/or in various locations… this one is way below the common standard. It’s rundown and dirty. They clearly attempted a «remodel» as some furniture had been updated, but the fixtures are all very old. Faucet, sinks, shower bar, lamps, fans, light switches… all old and«icky». They replaced the bathroom fan at some point, and it is smaller than the previous fan because there’s holes in the ceiling peeking out around it. My husband commented that it smelled like his deceased grandmother’s house smelled… you know the, old furniture, old carpet, old everything smell. The ceiling fan was running full speed when we came in, likely to keep the air moving, to help the smell. The carpet is absolutely disgusting. Filthy with stains everywhere. The bed is hard. The Country Inns near the Minneapolis airport are all quite nice, so this is disappointing. Do not waste $ 100 plus dollars for this place. I feel itchy here. Every summer we stay in a 50 year old cabin; I don’t feel the need to Lysol stuff there like I did here. I had to write this. Stay elsewhere.

We found ourselves in the area for a few days on family business. We have stayed in Country Inn & Suites in other locations in the past and chose this. This is your standard design of a Country Inn. It was comfortable, relatively clean. The in room coffee pot was appreciated and the breakfast was on par for a place in this category. A few suggestions for management though: The furniture in the«living room» was very dirty and needed a good steam cleaning. It had snowed a few days before our arrival, the parking lot could have been cleared much better-walking into the front door was a little treacherous and slippery – a clear invitation for a slip & fall. Plenty of restaurants in the area for meals. Very quiet room for being next to the airport.

Clean, friendly and very accommodating. Only knock is the AC/Heating unit – go up 1 degree the room is blasted with heat, go down 1 degree and it’s frigid. Oh well I like blankets.

Located near the airport but not so near you can hear the planes taking off and landing. The suite hotel concept is nice because the living and sleeping areas are divided and it feels like a larger room. My only issue was the older heating unit that was in the bedroom was very noisy when it was running. I turned it off at night so I could sleep. The reception desk employees were a step above average. Great attitudes, sense of humor, and willingness to help really made the hotel appear to value their guests.

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson-Milwaukee Airport on June 24 and 252011 while we were going to the Jimmy Buffet concert at Alpine Valley, about 40 minutes away. The hotel is nice, clean and the breakfast is very good. We were staying there with 4 other couples so we were wanting our rooms to all be next to each other, which we had been assured would happen several times by one of the managers. Alas, upon check in our rooms were on the same floor, but spread out from one end of the hall to the other. One of our group had reserved a suite with a couch through , so that we had at least one room where we could gather. When he got to his room there was no couch, only 2 straight back chairs. When he talked with the manager they told him they could locate him on another floor, but they couldn’t discount his room(since it wasn’t as advertised) because he used . They did offer to move him to a regular room, next to one of the others in our group, but while he was discussing that option with his wife they(the hotel) checked another guest(not in our group) into that adjoining room. If it hadn’t been for the room fiscal of not having the room they promised, not putting us all together as promised and not giving an adjoining room away right from under us, everything else would have been fine. I guess bottom line is the hotel is ok; it’s just the staff that were the problem.
