Does your antique or modern silverware or other pieces need some tender loving care? A Werner Silversmiths, owned by Michael and Dennis Weid, provide the very best of care and repair. I have used them multiple time to make repairs, buff, polish and re-​plated trays, picture frames, silverware, dishes and the like.
I had an antique vanity set that needed new brushes to fit the old silver handles and they ordered the replacements from a contact and delivered these heirloom items to us just looking great and ready to use. An old silver frame that had housed an oval picture looked ready for the scrap heap (the velvet covered cardboard interior frame was torn, the stand separated from the back, the frame feet bent and the frame itself looking unfit to grace any table) was returned to us fully polished, with a new interior velvet/​cardboard insert with the silver firms mark fully legible. Their prices are better than competitive. I had another piece repaired and polished by another organization and their processing was much longer and cost more than a similar item handled by Dennis & Mike.
Sending nostalgic, heirloom quality items to someone you don’t know can be hard. Mike and Dennis honestly assess the repairs and condition of our piece, offer fair and reasonable prices and tell you when they will be able to return your piece to you. As with any craftsmen, do not expect to send them a piece and get it back immediately. They appear to have a steady business of work; so they will review your pieces after they receive them, discuss their condition and pricing with you over the phone and then identify a time in the future when you can expect the silver item to be repaired. Mike and Dennis are the very best!
