You just can’t buy this quality of meat anywhere in Massachusetts unless you own a restaurant! The staff is experienced and personable. Tell them what you are looking for and they suggest what works for you, not for them. Keep up the good work guys.

Amazingly fresh high quality meats that will seriously impress your friends. If you can’t get your meat from a Farmer’s Market or farm share, this is the next best choice. Kinnealey is a large area supplier to restaurants. They have a business connection with John Dewar & Co. in Newton, an amazing butcher where I used to get all my meat until I realized that this branch is closer for me.(The butcher at Kinnealey told me they own Dewar but I checked the Web sites and it doesn’t say that. There is a link from Kinnealey’s site to Dewar’s.) Unlike chain supermarkets, where you’re really not sure how long the meat has been sitting in its package, the meat at Kinnealey is kept very fresh. Like an old-fashioned butcher, there is friendly staff available to help with advice and fill custom orders. For example, depending on your needs they may grind burger meat as you wait – for example if you are buying a lot or have a special request ie. 85% fat when all that’s out is 80%. Kinnealey is located inside the Milton Fruit Center Marketplace, which has the best produce I’ve found in the city of Boston. I’ll be reviewing that separately! Anyway, you have to pay at Kinnealey separately from your groceries. I prefer several things about Dewar – mainly that your beef is always ground fresh and your steak is cut for you as there are *no* prepackaged items. Dewar is *even more* like an old-fashioned butcher of my childhood. However, given that for me Dewar is further, Kinnealey is a great option!
