Smitty’s is located right next to a Best Western, which is convenient if that’s where you happen to be staying. I’ve eaten here a couple times, now. The food is good, but not spectacular. Portions are a good size, so leaving hungry has not been an issue. The staff has always been very friendly, but service is slow so plan your time accordingly. Being a sports bar, there are televisions in sight wherever you sit so you won’t miss your game due to seating.
I gave this 3 stars because the prices are higher than the food dictates and the service is slow. Also, as mentioned earlier in the review, the food is not 5-star exceptional.
Overall, Smitty’s is a good place to go to while away a few hours watching a game with other people or if you’re staying at the Best Western next door.

Just fairly ok. The beer is all domestics. The bar has a «school cafeteria» feel. You’re really not missing anything if you skip this place. Ordered the spaghetti special. Not that great and outrageously priced

Ate at this place 2 nights in a row (its affiliated with the Best Western hotel). Food is very tasty. Lots of different/innovative sauce options for your wings and/or tenders. Mexican burger was muy bueno and is served with chips, which resembled lays classic (perhaps that’s what they were). Prices are very reasonable and the specials are not to be dodged. Service was solid, I never waited on a beverage or to place my order. Overall if you are on the fence of whether or not to give this place a whirl, I say go for it.

Went looking for a great burger and found it here. Fresh meat prepared exactly as ordered. Roll was great, burger juice, fries were hot and crispy. Many beer selections lots of specials. Friendly people prompt service. Also saw a great looking steak go by to the next table over… might try one next time.

Smitty’s is currently one of my favorite restaurants in Mifflin County. I live in Pittsburgh, but every time I come home to visit my parents I always end up at Smitty’s. It a great place to go for food or just drinks with friends.
The food is really wonderful. I’ve never had a bad thing. My favorite thing to get is the chicken quesadilla. The burgers and wings are also really delicious as well.
Smitty’s also has really inexpensive drinks. Sometimes I can’t quite believe how inexpensive the drinks are. It always makes the place a go to for dinner with the family or drinks with friends.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the food service can be a little on the slow side even when they aren’t busy. But overall it’s really nothing bad. For as good as the food is it’s worth the wait.
I definitely recommend Smitty’s as a place to go if you’re visiting from out of town!

Loaded Fries are simply awesome!!! Cheese straws were terrific. Burger was good. Beer was icy cold — didn’t have to ask for the lime, already in the bottle neck! Service is excellent. Really impressed. Only complaint is the layout — there needs to be at least a half or ¾ wall separating bar area from dining area — too noisy.

Great beer, great burgers, great fries, great fish, great service.
This place has friendly attentive staff. The Red Hook ESB beer on tap was smooth and refreshing.
The mad Mexican burger and the portabella burger were awesome. Cooked exactly how we asked.
The fries are perfect!

After a hard day at work. This place hit the spot to relax and get a good bit to eat. great food. friendly bar staff and plenty of TVs and 14 beers on draft… this place is the only decent place to eat in this town
…stay away from the subway next store. found hair in my sub and owner was very rude

Food is great! Try the philly chicken steak… they have traditional too, but it was really yummy! My husband had the salmon and said it was good too.
Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the atmosphere needs a little work. There is really no separation from the bar when you are dining and It is a bit noisy. the tables are out in the open which gives you a feeling of dining in a train station. If they put up some partitions it would help with the open feeling and also muffle some of the loud sounds.
Lots of TV’s so a great place to spend an evening. Would highly recommend stopping here. Place is good for children too as they have a good children’s menu.
