Just went there, and they are out of business –_– So if you want dim sum, go somewhere else… I wasted my time to drive there!!! So sad

This rating is based on their phone system, not the food or services. Their phone number is not working at all and I have told them that no one answer the phone call long times ago and it is still not fixed. I called again today and would like to check with some dishes before going for dinner tonight, and I tried to call you 20 times within 2 hours, no one answer the phone.

Had lunch on Easter Sunday, thankfully it wasn’t busy but now I’m not surprised why. Service was terrible. The supposed manager, I assume since he was the only one in a dress shirt, literally threw the hot tea pot on the table and spilled everywhere and walked away like nothing happened. Then the waitresses never asked us what we wanted to drink or order, we had to flag ask them multiple times. I would understand if it was busy, but there were literally only 5 tables seated. Every time we asked someone for something. A simple napkin or utensils– which should have been at the table before they served the food– a waitress would respond with a smug look. And when food was delivered, dishes were literally dropped on the table. So rude and unwelcoming. I gave this place one star because their food is actually really good and affordable. So if I ever decide to eat here again, it’ll probably be a take out order.

My family and I spent a good week in Cupertino over the holidays, and since we are from NC where the amount of Chinese restaurants is well, very low and not really quality, we basically eat ourselves silly everytime we visit Cupertino. This place was our favorite, with QQ noodle being number 2. We came on a Sunday morning, right when they opened a bit after 10am, as my grandma said it would get very busy. LOVED: Snow Mountain Buns ***- with taro inside, warm, and oh my gosh the bread is just to die for. Let’s just say, we ordered one, and then… we ordered another order(they come with 3) and I had some the next day. Sometimes you have to ask them specifically for these because they don’t always have them out. Beef and smooth egg chow fun — beautiful noodles and the sauce was so good! all the dim sum dishes — shrimp dumplings and bean curd rolls — delicious and fresh! For us because we were there early, everything was made to order. Later on, we saw the carts out(i much prefer ordering, then someone making something to order! Fish congee****: this was amazing. some ginger slices in it, such good flavor. This was my FAVORITE dish as well as my dad’s. Just OKAY: Lobster noodle: noodles were meh, lobster was fresh!(we saw someone pick up a lobster from the tank) Very pricey. Overall, our favorite place to eat in Cupertino during our entire week or so there! Also, of note, the manager totally was helping to clear tables, and service was VERY good today.

Dim Sum are horrible, 90% of dishes we ordered taste crappy. Food are not fresh and lack of taste. Everything tastes awful, I think their food is really below average. The worst dim sum i’ve ever had. The wait was not bad because we arrived before 11:30am. Then after we got seated, it started getting crowded. The front desk lady is not nice while the customers inquired about the wait time. She just yelled back. I understand that she was busy, but it is just not appropriate. One of the customers reported to the manager, but he seems don’t really care. I won’t come back again for dim sum, i’ve experienced enough haha… And I think this place will need a new owner soon if they don’t improve.

Went here recently for dim sum as we wanted to try a new place close to home. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was pretty full. There were a few dim sum carts being pushed around, along with servers carrying items on a tray. As soon as we were seated, servers started coming to our table to offer us items on the carts. The staff was super friendly, and when we ordered items from the menu, everything came out quickly. The food was delicious! All the dim sum items were fresh and tasty, and they had a large variety: steamed, pan fried, or deep fried dumplings, porridge, pork buns, vegetables, and dessert items(we found all of our favorites). And the price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back!

The wife and I stopped here for a dim sum lunch at about 1:15PM. Service was good, dim sum was fresh and hot. We got a lot of things, stuffed tofu skin, stuffed eggplant, hargou, shomai, chinese broccoli, crispy skin duck, turnip cake, and hot tea & water. Everything we really good, and the service came with a smile. Dim sum carts came frequently. Some of the items you need to order from a waiter, more common items were on the carts. Over all, we were impressed, we’d recommend Twin’s to friends and family, and we will definitely be back for sure.

Standard mid-grade dim sum — by «mid grade» I mean this is not one of those fancy schmansy establishments with nice décor and small overpriced plates, and it’s not a hole-in-the-wall that serves large portions for cheap. Funny thing about new dim sum restaurants is that they usually draw a crowd. The Chinese seem to have this weird custom where they must try out new dim sum restaurants for themselves! So to truly assess how this restaurant is, wait a few months. If the crowd diminishes, you will know what people think of this place. As for me, I thought the food was pretty standard — Solid but hardly memorable. The only dish that was unique was a ginger-flavored gelatin dessert.

My parents are always checking out the cheapest places for dimsum, so this time it brought us an hour and 15 min. out of our home to the city of Milpitas on a Monday afternoon. As advertised, all small/medium/large dimsum plates were each only $ 2.20! Even though it was pretty cheap, the dimsum didn’t taste that way. Steamed things were juicy, and fried things were nice and crispy. Why not four stars then? Limited selection of items considered small/medium/large. Very surprised to see that«rice noodle» usually a «large dish» was labeled as «T» for special so it wasn’t part of the deal. What a tease :(Also, it wasn’t busy and it still took way too long to flag down a waiter. The xiao long bao(steamed buns?) came out cold in the middle, and had to be sent back to the kitchen to be reheated… Would recommend getting: Taro Dumpling(crispy AND creamy!) and Flower Fried Tofu Not recommend: ha gow(pieces were stuck together as a glob), steamed beef balls(i never liked them)

Don’t come here, there are better dim sum places that won’t make you feel sick. My parents love this place. The times we come here, they seat us and NEVER bring food. What they’ll do is cart around near the entrance, but if you’re in the way back with a big table. They’ll be happy to skip you. We come pretty early, so that’s not an issue. The shrimp dumplings are not fresh, they have a sour taste to them. They will look cooked… but when you eat them, it does not have a good taste. Don’t get me started on the waitress that FORCES dishes onto you when you tell them, no thank you in Chinese or English. It’s just rude and annoying for someone that is having a good time eating with their family.

Pretty good dim sum for an area that’s pretty lacking in good dim sum. Came here with my family after church on a Sunday morning at around 11am. We were seated immediately. About 10 minutes after we got seated, the place got hella packed and there were people waiting out the door. I remember this place used to be something else; it may have just been renamed to Twins Royal Cuisine since I’ve last been here. Anyways, this place has all the standard dim sum items like chicken feet, har gao, siu mai, baos, dan tat. Everything tasted really fresh. They weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was good nonetheless. My only complaint here is talking to some of the workers is really hard when you don’t know Chinese. A lady came up with some chong fun with beef. We asked for the shrimp one and she was like, «Yes? Yes? Okay one shrimp one beef.» We were like«Uhhh wait… hold on. too late.» That lady dipped so fast. But yeah, it’s hard when your mom looks Chinese and they talk to her in Chinese even though she replies back in English and then they keep speaking Chinese… Later, my brother found a hair in his fried shrimp and tofu, so he told he waiter. The waiter got us a brand new plate no questions asked. So at least they got that going for them. Overall, solid place for dim sum in the area. I’d come back, next time maybe with someone who can speak and translate for me.

The ownership of this restaurant location changes so often that I can’t keep up. My parents had a good dim sum experience during the week and wanted to go back on the weekends for more. Unfortunately, the experience on the weekends pales in comparison. I guess what draws people here for dim sum is that small, medium, and large dim sum items are all $ 2.20 for the most part. However, beware of the servers trying to push their«special» dim sum items which have a higher cost. During the week, since there are less people, they don’t push carts around. Instead, you are given a sheet to mark up the items you want and they are then freshly steamed and brought out. In contrast, on the weekends, they push carts. They don’t have a good variety of dim sum items. And what makes matters worse, they have pushy servers trying to get you to get one their special dim sum items and don’t respect the fact that you aren’t interested. They’ll cone back again trying to convince you to get the same thing. Overall, their dim sum is average at best and nothing special. It would have been nice if the items were steamed thoroughly but many items were just warm. There are better places to go so don’t waste your time here for dim sum.

I was really pleased with this restaurant. I came here with my dad and my grandparents, so I was a bit skeptical at first since they usually cook instead of eating out, but was pleasantly surprised. They have this deal for dim sum where the plates are between $ 2-$ 4 each, which is a pretty good price. I was expecting mediocre quality based on this alone, but each dish was very well made, and earned the compliments of my relatives, who commented that the food tasted«just like back home». That’s pretty high praise in my book. Anyway, it was a little confusing to find because the«grand opening» sign was actually above the back door and not the main entrance. The restaurant itself is pretty clean. I didn’t use the restroom so I can’t comment on that, if that’s something that affects your dining experience. Since I’m new to the area, I can’t attest to how it compares to other dim sum restaurants in the bay area, but it is definitely comparable to the restaurants in Chicago’s Chinatown.

I came here on a Saturday and dined by myself. I was seated immediately. I like the white table linen décor and quick service. I ordered the haw gao, siu mai, shrimp cheung fun(shrimp wrapped in flat rice paper/noodle with soy sauce), pork spare ribs. My total came out to about $ 11. There’s plenty more to order during diim sum though. I’ve posted pictures of the menu and daily specials. The food was pretty good. I’ll come back and check it out with a few more people next time and try more dishes. I definitely will be back for the Monday night Peking Duck special!

3.5 stars = 3 stars for dim sum, 4 stars for dinner. I came here twice on Memorial Day weekend with my family which must really say something since my parents are pretty picky about where they dine for Chinese food. Dim sum — It’s not the best, but not the worst. Prices are pretty cheap ranging between $ 2.80 — $ 4.50 each dish. The har gow(shrimp dumpling), siew mai(pork dumpling), beef meatballs were all pretty small compared to other places. I don’t recommend the rice roll with fried chinese donut, it was bland and not worth the price since it was considered a special item. The items that stood out to me was the fried taro, char siew pastry, and liu sha bao(molten salted egg custard bun). If you have never tried a liu sha bao before, you definitely must order it! Most places seem to do it justice and it’s my must order if restaurants ever serve it. SO good. Dinner — Much better than lunch! We had the cold appetizer plate, lobster noodles, and a eggplant clay pot. The cold appetizer came with jellyfish, bbq pork, and hainan chicken. I enjoyed everything on that dish especially the hainan chicken because it was thin and very moist. The lobster noodles were a little oily, but came came with big chunks of juicy lobster. My ultimate favorite of the night was the eggplant clay pot, I’m not sure if I saw this on the menu, but it was SO good! It was pretty much sweet and sour eggplant cooked in a pot and oh so flavorful. I would come back to this restaurant just for this dish. My fam and I agreed that dinner was definitely better than lunch. I think this might be my new to go place if I’m craving authentic Chinese food!

Looks like ownership changed since last year. They have only dim sum during lunch. It’s good that they still have ‘small’ dishes(lower price) compared to other restaurants. Deep fried dumping 咸水角– 3.5* very crispy Wonton soup 2* — soup base is not authentic Steam spare ribs 2.5* — a bit too oily and fatty Bean curl roll 鲜竹卷3*

This is perhaps the best Chinese restaurant that I have been to for a long, long time. First of all, I heard about the new management and I have to say, from the last time that I came here, the food has substantially improved in taste. My family and my friend’s family ordered a LOT of food, ranging from the lobster noodles, honey walnut prawns, abalone, appetizer platter(included roast duck, roast pork, jellyfish, seaweed, & cha siu), mango pudding, and much more, but I have to say that I was not disappointed with ANY entrée. Let me start off with the fact that they really know how to cook their entrees. The roast pork skin was cooked to a crispy perfection, and I found myself eating basically all of it by myself among the rest of the guests. Also, my grandmother has a hard time chewing certain foods, so the chefs made sure to prepare the abalone a little softer than usual just to suit her needs. You have to love a restaurant that cares about customer satisfaction :) The honey walnut prawns were fried just right with the perfect amount of crispiness, and not overfried like how some other restaurants do it. Furthermore, their mango pudding is the best that I’ve ever tasted out of all of the Asian restaurants I’ve been to. It just has a really smooth texture and rich taste that no other restaurant has yet been able to perfect. I don’t think I need to explain every single food in detail, but I think you get my point by now. Overall, 5⁄5. You don’t have to read this twice!

Definitely the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! I heard they changed owners and went for a try. At first taste, I knew it was heaven. The dim sum is amazing, even though there is only 6 different selections to pick from, but the choices of wonton noodles congee, and rice wraps makes up for it, not to mention the unique taste. Really brings me back to the amazing food I had in China. What really stands out is the Roasted Duck. I’ve never tasted duck so good in my life. The skin is crispy and the meat is juicy. You can order the combination platter(chicken, jellyfish, roast pork, etc.) and I think it was quite affordable. I don’t give 5 stars often, but this place is bomb. After a long day of shopping at the Great Mall, this is the place to be. Update: they have a lot more dim sum now! Saw about 40 more added to the lunch menu.

I remember this place when it was called«New East Lake» with a hefty dim sum menu, and decent. Then it was called«Asian Kitchen» where they jumped the shark by including Thai food in their menu. In comes TRC… and I hope they keep it this way. With new owners, a new look, and better dim sum, they seem to be doing something right… especially if I always see this place packed on weekends, full with customers that truly know their Chinese food. After several recent visits, I’ve been happy with their food. Happy enough to order them again and again… like their Braised Rock Cod Claypot with tofu and mushrooms, Seafood in Crispy Nest, Ribeye rolls,(pan fried) Seafood Chow Mein, Salted Fish Fried Rice, and some of their stewed dim sum plates with tripe. Their menu has some Vietnamese-inspired dishes as well. I’m going for the lobster on my next visit. Honorable mentions go to their teas, Tofu Fa, and taro buns… which I can have forever! Service is a bit more formal than before, yet spotty at times. I’ve had better service when dining early(on weekends) than later in the afternoon. Bottom line… when people ask me where to go for good authentic Chinese food in Milpitas, this place is the first that comes to mind. So far.
