I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are a female meeting your female friend. My girlfriend and I live far from each other and like to meet up half way for dinner once in a while. Seeing as this place had great reviews and a seemingly good reputation, we thought we made a wise decision. We sat at a table in the vaguely small establishment. It wasn’t packed, so I know the bartender saw us. She also obviously cared more about the male attention than helping customers. She didn’t come to take our order, so after about 20 minutes we got up and went to the bar. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 shooters. She makes the drinks. My beer was sadly flat After about 5 mins we inquire about the shooters and she says«yeah I remember.» I’m no bartender, but don’t shots usually come first? Anyway. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because the food was BOMB! Tacos were AMAZING! The special shrimp taco was HUGE and only $ 1 more than the street tacos. Huge plate of garlic fries and delicious wings. We only ended up ordering those 2 drinks and shooters because we had no idea how long we would have to wait for another drink. Thanks for killin the vibe, bartender ;) Will not be back.

I came here with some friends because it was recommended by a friend. Anyways atmosphere is chill, like a dive bar. Played some pool and sippin on some tequila. Prices are weird here. We ordered Don Julio and the price came out to be 8 dollars a shot, however a hornitos reposado costs $ 10 per. Oh yea, the Bartender had a funny name, «bubbles» Wah?

When my boyfriend and I are craving tacos but the same time we want dranks up in our mouths… you already know one of the places we think about first. Tequila Shots is the solution to our problems! Not only is this place most popular for their $ 1 Tacos, but they also have other daily specials on foods and Happy Hour! Their Daily Specials: *Monday– $ 5 Super Nachos *Tuesday– $ 1TACOS *Wednesday– $ 5 Hot Wings *Thursday– $ 1TACOS *Friday– $ 5 Hotlinks and Fries *Saturday– $ 5 Flautas(Tequitos) *Sunday– $ 5 Super Quesadillas Happy Hour: Monday-Sunday from 4pm-7pm *$ 4 well drinks and beer(used to be $ 3) *$ 12 Pitchers(used to be $ 10) WOW, now that’s pretty awesome. Imagine coming in for $ 1 Tacos twice a week during Happy Hour times. AND you can even go for Happy Hour on the weekends! Cause that usually never happens at a lot of places… This place doesn’t get too packed here or well for at least the times I’ve been here. And another plus is that the parking lot is quite big. Great music, great service, great tacos, and decently priced pitchers of beer during Happy Hour! They even have a few TVs here so you can watch whatever game is on. What more can you ask for? :) $ 1 Taco Tuesdays & Thursdays, Beer, and enjoy a Warriors game! Sounds about right. ;)

My BF and I were looking for a spot to eat on our way home from the Levi’s Stadium and I found this gem on Unilocal. We thought we were going to a Sports Bar but what we found was way better. This was more of a Dive Bar/Night Club, we were hesitant to order food from a «Bar» in the dark at night but WEARESOHAPPYWEDID! We ate and even ordered food to go… I loved this place!!! Food was absolutely amazing!!!

As a bartender one of the most respectful thing you can do, even if your busy is acknowledge your customer. Maybe make some I contact? Maybe tell us you’ll be right with us? I don’t think my friends and I have to wait 25 mins for you to take our drinks. Perhaps, if you look up every once in a while you can notice us waiting here before the other people you served. Worst service ever Silver Dragon, the worst. Especially after hearing such good things about this place.

Came here Sunday to watch the Warriors game. D n B’s unfortunately was not going to play the Warriors game so we found this place last minute. About 1 mile from the mall. It was about 2:00 pm in the afternoon. Located under a bridge. Divey. Dark, and a little Dingy but still clean. There were a few guys sitting at the bar watching the Raider game. We were welcomed by the bartender. A friendly pepper-haired Asian guy who sounded kinda surfer. He recommended the Posole, which he said is only served on Sunday’s. It was pretty actually surprisingly good. We underestimated the look of the spot but the Posole was amazing. A spicy pork soup with cabbage, onion, cilantro, and lime and a basket of chips. My boo also ordered a bottle of Dos-Equis XX. Our bill for the beer and the bowl of Posole soup was $ 9. We were very pleased. The food was good and the bartender was nice. A nice hidden local spot.

Total definition of a dive bar. Super hidden too. If you’re not careful, you might miss it, or park at the neighbor’s house. This bar is located literally underneath a bridge. Some friends came here the night before Thanksgiving as a tradition to drink and get hammered before Turkey Day. Drinks here are fairly cheap compared to the other near by bar, DnBs. Apparently all the bartenders have stripper names like Angel, Candy, etc. Kind of strange if you ask me. The manager’s stripper name is Silver Dragon lol. What really caught my eye though were their Tacos! If I wasn’t so full already, I would totally have gotten a few to try. Guess that means I need to go back again, damn.

My friends wanted to skip D&B’s and come here for some drinks. It was the night before Thanksgiving so it was pretty crowded. Seemed to be a popular place with the locals. The place is pretty small so there’s not a lot of places to sit or hang out. You just have to wait for people to leave to find bar tables/seats or stand around where there’s space. There was a DJ there, but the mix wasn’t too great. I ordered a vodka cranberry drink, but I couldn’t taste the alcohol that I finished it pretty quickly. My friend wanted to order hot wings, but for whatever reason, their kitchen didn’t seem to be up and running. Maybe it was just a bad night that I’ll have to come back another time and give it a try.

This place should have«dive» in the title, and I mean that in the most charming sense of the word. Though a place named Tequila Shots can only be a dive right? Tequila Shots has a «Tijuana cheers» quality to it. Daily specials like one dollar tacos, five dollar nachos, etc. a variety of beers, full bar, pool tables, and lots of sports on lots of TVs, create the type of happy hour environment that makes it easy to loosen up and forget the stresses of the workday. Which is the reason I came here, by the way. I tried a local beer that I absolutely loved named Strike Irish Style Red Ale. Strike is brewed seven minutes from here, according to the owner who stopped by our table several times and made conversation. We also ordered the super nachos and guacamole. The nachos were of the ballpark variety, with cheese sauce, lots of pickled jalapeños chorizo sausage from a can, and bagged chips. And the guilty confession of this foodie is, they were delicious. Guacamole was made from fresh ingredients, but was seasoned a bit too lightly and tasted bland. The salt from the chips helped. But if I order it again, I will ask for salsa too flavor it up a bit. Service was very good, considering when we arrived we were one of three parties ordering from the same bartender, who handled the competing different orders with ease, was polite and served all of us with a smile. If you’re looking for cheap food in a sports bar environment, inexpensive daily specials, and an easy place to land for happy hour, I recommend Tequila Shots.

Came here for food and some beers. The hotlinks were awesome when gnats weren’t flying on it. The fries weren’t cooked right/long enough and saturated with oil. But the server was friendly, she was quick with the drinks. I’d go again and prob just order tacos next time.

0⁄5 8 of us came on a Monday night(10.05.15) to grab drinks for a friend’s birthday. Night was going well, and we were in a good mood, but it was ruined by Silver Dragon who humiliated us and treated us rudely. He was friendly when we first came in, big smiles and jolly, but things turned south quick after most of us decided to shoot pool first(mind you, you gotta pay to play) while waiting for things to settle down before drinks(a few were outside chatting/smoking). After we got back in, Silver Dragon(more like Silver Hair) came over, annoying expression on his face, demanding everyone to order, «everyone gotta have a drink, EVERYONE!», he said repeatedly. So let me get this straight, every single person needs to pay for a drink otherwise the whole party can’t stay. Not even the majority but EVERYONE. We stared at each other, shocked and confused, jaws ’bout to hit the table. We ordered anyway to get it over with(also because we wanted to drink in the first place; that’s why we came to a bar goddammit). We didn’t even finish ordering, but he left to make them. A while later, he came back with 3 drinks and continued checking up who hadn’t gotten a drink yet. One friend didn’t feel like drinking anymore and ended up leaving due to Silver’s harassment. He must have checked on us at least 3 times. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He must have thought, «great! a bunch of punks coming in not paying for shit again, not so fast!». Regardless, his approach was appaling and unacceptable. I got a sidecar, he spilled some of it on a wobbly table. It was pretty good but nothing special. Countless of bars, no need to come to this god-forshaken shack under a bridge. Shame! Just when I thought about supporting a local business.

Great $ 1 Taco Tuesdays! Place is divey and initmate. We came in around 630PM on a Tuesday to meet up with people and it was very low key; we were the largest group(~10 people) for the two hours we were there. Appreciated that the woman bartender kept pouring out the foam for my pint of Lagunitas so I got a glass of beer, not beer foam!

Aight. So Silver D is da man here. He makes amazing drinks and they are one-of-a-kind. I got the Minty Chocolate one. And though we believe in gay and lesbian marriage, i am not fruity. So the Minty is good. I have yet to try the Strawberry Shortie! But Holla to all the cute nicknames here and the dude is truly a good pool playah! Peace.

4 starts dive bar because it’s a cozy dive bar, on the lounge side, despite there is one pool table and TVs. The place was quite hard to find, especially when you are on Calaveras. It’s located under a highway bridge on N. Main st. They offer a DELICIOUS margarita! one of the best I had in San Jose. I really want to insist on this: I am really to ride 22 miles again just for the margarita: subtle and not sweet. Lovely. Food-wise they propose Mexican cuisine. It’s not a great cuisine but it’s cheap. 1 $ taco on Tuesdays(great deal!). Nice, well loaded and tasty. It’s pity that my chorizo was a bit too oily and that the topping was cold. 3 $ fried zucchinis(frozen, soso, 1.5 stars). Place is clean. A bit too dark though. You can’t really see what you are eating but it makes the bar look great under those low level blue lights. Friendly and efficient staff(even though I hate being IDed by a 24 years old — I’m 38… for real…). Music is on the hip-hop side.

What a fantastic find! My husband and I recently came here on a Tuesday to take advantage of their half off tacos and try their much famed dessert drinks. We came in very early, so we found a parking spot and got seated by the bar immediately. I started with a strawberry shortcake drink and then ended up getting a mint chocolate chip as well. The mint chocolate chip was stronger than the strawberry shortcake, but I loved both the drinks. Each of us got four tacos each — the spicy one and the pollo taco. Sooooo delicious! Fab drinks and food. Very friendly service. No surprise they recently completed four successful years!

It is incredibly difficult to find a chill spot to grab a drink that doesn’t close at 10pm around where I live that doesn’t involve having to drive 5 miles away to SRow or DTSJ. SOOOO, needless to say when we came across this spot — it was an instant hit. Super chill, no frills vibe, easy-going bartenders, cheap but well-made drinks, and the day we went there was a DJ(donned in a GSW hoodie, no less) who was playing the hits. We didn’t get to check out the food, but next time I shall definitely do so!

Did I mention that I don’t drink and you’ll never see me at a bar? Well, that was before I discovered how much fun it is to just sit and drink non alcoholic beverages while you watch drunk people do whatever it is that drunk people do… This bar is really nice and clean. My younger sister was actually really impressed that her older sister, who doesn’t even drink, can find a nice bar for her to enjoy a few good shots. We asked the bartender for a recommendation on a virgin drink for me and he insisted that I try the strawberry shortcake, but I told him I can’t have any alcohol. He insists that it’s «almost» virgin because there’s only a pinch of alcohol in it and I wouldn’t even be able to tell. Oh trust me, I will. LOL I opted for a nice tall glass of orange juice instead… a step up from my Sprite. LOL I insisted on my sister trying out their infamous strawberry shortcake and boy was she glad she did. She said it was really good, she even offered me a sip… but I’m good with my orange juice. Next, the owner, Silver Dragon, offered us a complimentary watermelon jolly rancher, which my sister said was also very good… although it was a lot stronger than the strawberry shortcake. Did I mention I’ve been on a free drink run lately? LOL After that, she asked me what else I would recommend and I saw a pretty picture of a blue drink and asked Silver Dragon what it was called and he said it was the AMF and she said«yep!» She ended up babysitting that drink for about 15 minutes… hahaha I liked the environment, the bartenders were friendly and the patrons were pretty well behaved. Even the security guard was good looking, so we’ll definitely be back!

I came here with a friend on a Thirsty Thursday for Happy Hour! The place is definitely a hole in the wall type of bar. It is somewhat hard to find since it is located under neath the highway overpass. They have their own parking lot which is nice! Thankfully the place was not too packed so we just walked up to the bar and got a pitcher of Stella for $ 10. Since it was Thursday the happy hour deals for food were cheese burgers and fries for $ 5, and $ 1.50 tacos. The cheese burger was just alright. I probably won’t order it again. The tacos are amazing! Make sure to order Campechana(chorizo & asada mix) it’s the best! The flavor is interesting but tasty and the sauce they put top definitely has a spicy kick! I only had 3 and I was starting to sweat. If I had 5 or 6, wow we might have needed another pitcher haha! The staff here are very friendly and know how to have a good time. They are very welcoming and I would love to come back to try their nachos, quesadillas, and other drinks!

I have finally found a place in Milpitas that has great bar food and cheap(er) drinks without turning the ratchet dial. The music is literally played from someone’s Macbook in a corner of the room and the music is good and fits the dive bar scene. Well drinks are around $ 7. Taco Thursdays are $ 1 per taco and the sauce that comes with it is spicy. They’re tiny tot so order about 8 of these to feel good about your meal. I ordered the super quesadilla including pastor meat. It was divine. I had 3 slices of it and rolled my stomach on home.
