The donuts are fantastic. Freshly made, soft, not oily, not too rich. The favors are just right, tried twelve of them and not one was disappointing. The outsides were crisp and crunchy and the inside soft and warm. Service was brisk and friendly, no complaints. Line not quite out the door, our experience was about 20min start to finish. 14.50 for a dozen. Not bad really. If you are in town, go get you some. Go early. They open at 7 in summer.

Came here this morning for our yearly treat from the fractured Prune and was bitterly disappointed. We ordered six donuts and paid $ 8.99 and 30 seconds later got our donuts The donuts were room temperature and I asked her how she could possibly cook and dress our donuts in such a short time. She said they now make them ahead of time keep them in the bin and then dress them when you walk in!!! The part that makes them so special is the fact that they’re made to order and They do not begin cooking until you order. Fractured prune is a near spiritual experience which they have now reduced to fast food donuts. I don’t know that I will ever go near or into another fractured prune after this experience I’m writing this to review to warn others who are expecting the same high standards that they are used to getting but will now be disappointed. Save your money and the calories !!!

Disappointing. I read the reviews before I came to this location and felt like it couldn’t have been that bad. It was. The lady owner was extremely rude to customers and was tossing the donuts in the glaze. They don’t have the same amount of toppings as everyone else, no bacon. The donuts were oily. I will never be back to this location. Someone needs to show the owner how to run a business.

The woman behind the counter seriously rolled her eyes at me when I came in with my small child. It was like we were an inconvenience. I’m sorry I wanted to pick up donuts while I was out getting groceries for my vacation. She was beyond rude to us and then when we got home they had messed up the order. How do you mess up 6 donuts? Will be returning to this area for vacation but not to this fractured prune. The staff in general were not friendly at all. There were 3 total.

Good fast service — the donuts were hot when they came out! We got a dozen. The kids liked the Carnival and Blueberry Hill. The adults liked the simpler flavors like OC Sand and French Toast. I have to say I like Krispy Kreme or DD better as far as the actual donut goes, but the menu at the Prune is fun and good for a special treat.

Love this place… Should I say my daughter super loves this place. It does get busy during the summer. However, the staff does a good job trying to accommodate the customers. The donuts are very special as in not your average honey dip. You must stop by to understand how they have reinvented the donut! Awesome!

It’s shocking that this location is still in business. The owner was extremely rude to my family and I today. I will definitely not be returning and will drive the extra miles to the Rehoboth shop. Nobody deserves to be treated this way. She is clearly an unhappy and miserable person that does NOT appreciate any of her customers. The donuts were okay and based on our experience, were not worth the trip to the Millville Fractured Prune! GOELSEWHERE!

If you really like donuts, the there’s no reason you won’t like the Fractured Prune. Prices are a little steep at $ 2 each, but they come out hot, fresh, and loaded with flavor. There are a number of set donuts to help you with your decision making, but you can also go wild and choose your own glaze and topping. I wish that I could enjoy this closer to home, but it seems like most of the locations are near beaches. Keep in mind that this location is CASHONLY and has no seating!

Just sad. I understand considering the area that the hours are minimal(Saturday — Monday from 8 – 12), but this is just bad. Half the menu is non existent and they serve only half the stuff that’s on the remaining menu. No breakfast stuff at all! No bacon topping. The single donut my son got tasted like oil, one bite and I threw it away. And the lady working at the store was rude. Very disappointing compared to the one back home for me. Note, that is Frederick, MD. They have it together up there. Don’t go here unless you are only looking for oily, plain cake donuts.

It seems like they have improved their game since some of the previous reviews were written. My donuts were excellent, cooked just right and not overly greasy. The service made no impression on me, neither extra friendly nor curt, just some people doing their jobs. As mentioned earlier – cash only, and no seating. Just a place to pick up donuts to go. They do have an ATM in the store, with a $ 2 or $ 3 surcharge. Favorite donuts – blueberry hill and French toast. Avoid – lemonade(tastes like dishwasher soap) and peanut butter cup(overload of chocolate chips).

Not like the Rehoboth Beach location! Our family was very disappointed this morning. First off, there is no seating at this location. Which we could get over. However, since we opted to eat our donuts back at home, we were really disappointed when our donuts weren’t cook through all the way and we had to toss them. When you’re 20 mins away it sucks. It’s very unfortunate. Hopefully this location can get it’s act together=(

There are some things you should know about Fractured Prune before you go: 1) Cash only 2) Only open on weekends during Fall and Winter 3) Donuts are made to order 4) To-go only, no seating 5) Cake donuts only In spite of its name that tries a little too hard to be quirky, Fractured Prune does make some pretty good donuts. While I personally prefer yeast donuts over cake donuts, I can say that Fractured Prune makes some of the best cake donuts I’ve ever had, probably because they were made just minutes before I ate them. It’s pretty cool to see the automated machine extrude, fry, flip and remove the donuts from the oil and on to a cooling conveyor belt. After that, the donuts are topped according to whatever you ordered. I tried two donuts that ended up with a very similar flavor profile, the French Toast Donut and the OC Sand Donut. Both were very warm, with a crispy exterior and a moist interior. My only complaint would just be that the very middle of the donut was a little gooey and underdone – maybe just 30 seconds longer in the fryer would do the trick, or maybe you should wait a few minutes before digging in so that the residual heat can finish the inside. The French Toast donut had maple syrup and cinnamon toppings, while the OC Sand was topped with cinnamon and glaze. While it may be only a matter of time before a Dunkin Donuts finds its way around this area, I’m not convinced that it would threaten the business of Fractured Prune since, to me, they deal in entirely different products. While Dunkin has a big selection and many different offerings, I find their donuts to always taste a day old. This is the complete opposite of Fractured Prune, which hands you donuts made minutes before. What’s more, Fractured Prune specializes only in cake donuts, while DD serves those and yeast donuts, and more.

Well worth the trip. The donuts came out to our order. Amazing that 1 dozen donuts could be eaten so quickly(family and I) as they are that good. Loved the«Morning Buzz» and«Black Forest» donuts. Mike(Owner) is a cool dude and very friendly.

Liked the Rehoboth store – good donuts and service. Expected the same from this location. That was a mistake… Our donuts tasted liked sponges soaked in grease with liquid sugar on top. I know these aren’t supposed to be even remotely healthy, but this was grease overload. Absolutely horrible. To make matters even worse, the woman who took our order was super-rude. Granted, there was some sort of electrical problem that caused a smokey haze in the store, which I’m sure didn’t help her stay in a good mood – but she was not even remotely friendly or helpful. I’ll definitely hit the Rehoboth store next time I’m in town, but I probably won’t visit the one in Millville anytime soon.

Not something you could do every day, but a total splurge when your at the beach. On vacation? Off Diet! Deep fried to order, my only complaint is that because they are so hot when they take a bath and are rolled in goodies, that some of that goodness melts off or just melts. My favorite is Sand. Just rolled in sugar and cinnamon. And as much as I like them hot and fresh, I think the are even better the next day!

Awesomeness! These are what all donuts should be. Small and crisp, these donuts are fried and then dipped in your choice of glazes and then onto the toppings! You can get a Plain Jane that is fried and left plain but the standard OC Sand is dipped in honey glaze and cinnaimon sugar. Yum! Some of the combinations sound like too much for the morning-time(chocolate glaze and peanuts and cherries and chocolate chips) but I loved the new Bavarian Kreme one I tried(dipped in a Bavarian cream sauce and then topped with mini-chocolate chips). Warning-these are small and addictive. But seriously, they are small-go ahead and get the dozen instead of the half-dozen if there are 3 or more of you. Oh, they have all kinds of cappucinos/lattes/etc. but I didn’t try any of them. Oh, and they only take cash but have an ATM on site.

At the Fractured Prune your donuts are hand dipped in glazes or toppings of your choice and served warm. Donuts on the menu have names like French Toast(maple glaze and cinnamon sugar) or Chocolate Covered Cherry(cherry glaze and mini chocolate chips). All of the combinations are pretty creative and some are downright strange. The base donut is like a light old fashioned cake type donut, but when you bite into it there’s a really satisfying crunch before your teeth sink into the cakey part. When it’s warm it melts in your mouth. Yum. I’ve never had a donut with this combination of solidity and lightness. You can also create your own donut from a list of glazes, toppings and sugars, kind of like creating your own pizza. The Fractured Prune also has a Prunewich, which is an egg sandwich made on a donut, and bagels and different scrambled egg sandwiches(plain, with cheese, with cheese and a meat) plus a few other breakfast dishes. I did NOT try a Prunewich. The shop itself is pretty bare — only a couple of tables with chairs. The donut machine behind the counter is very big and very metallic — you can watch your donuts being dipped.
