My husband and I love this place. Not sure why so many negative reviews. It’s a great BYOB, the food is always fresh and delicious, the servers are very friendly and accommodating, and Vinnie the Manager on Friday nights(when we are usually there) is really nice and always makes us feel special. The servers Jessica and Grace are a great team on Friday nights. They work very hard and always with a smile.

I went here with some friends and the place was ok. We ordered mozzarella sticks and to split as an appetizer and I ordered the Penne a la Vodka as my main course. It mozzarella sticks were actually really good, though they did have a tendency to fall apart the moment you bit into them. As for the Penne a la Vodka it sauce was mostly bland but was improved by adding garlic powder, parmesan cheese, and hot chili flakes. The service was also somewhat slow when we went. It took quite a long time for us to receive our food though, there was a couple that came in about 20 min after us and they still somehow received all their food before we did and were able to finish and leave before we had even received our check. Though I must say I have had take out from this place before and they always have you’re order right on time and fairly quickly. Overall I would say this place is good if you have a bunch of friends that want to go there also, but it’s not something i would recommend to anyone

This place suck. The food is not all that the owner is a big Jerk. Treats people like they owe him something. Worst place in New Jersey. I wish I did not have to give then any star, but Unilocal makes you.

When this place opened, it was really good. They were good delivery and had themselves a nice niche because of where they were located and the menu that they had, which was typical of what you’d expect to get in the area. But just recently it’s fallen off the wagon somewhat. While the pizza is still pretty good, the prices have gone up astronomically, really so. $ 30 for two items for delivery is A LOT. And yes, the portions are decent-sized, and you get complementary rolls with them, but it used to be closer to $ 20-$ 25 range. Fortunately their pies are really good, and that’s what makes me want to return to call for more deliveries whenever I’m back in the area. I still think that Mancini has the best pizza in the area, but considering the circumstances of location and convenience, these guys do a solid for what it is. It won’t blow you away, but you won’t feel dissatisfied.

Can’t give it a zero. Been there 3 times. Terrible pizza that was burnt on bottom 2 of my 3 visits. Owner is nasty. Won’t be visiting ever again. Many other reviews here are similar.

So very disappointed with my meal, I have never wanted to return something so badly in my life. My choice, my consequence. This is my 2nd and last time ordering here. I ordered penne a la vodka, a grilled chicken caesar salad & tiramisu. The vodka sauce was watery & had no flavor ATALL, the peas were hard & the pasta was chewy. The chicken on the salad was barely grilled, it says on the menu, «all salads are made fresh to order,» but it was cold… which led me to believe it was pre-cooked chicken. The tiramisu was slop by the time it arrived, because my guy decided to turn the bag sideways while delivering. I ordered delivery and it was prompt… which is the reason for 1 star. The other star is for the bag of small rolls that comes with the pasta.

Hands down Pasqual’s has the best carbonara I have ever tasted. Their other food is also really good. But the spaghetti carbonara is amazing. I feel like I always get the same gentleman deliver to me and he is always really nice and pleasant to talk to. And the person who answers the phone and takes my order is also very nice. All in all I love this place.

The pizza here is always fresh and always tasty. They also have really great wraps. Also I love their chicken Parmesan dinner. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Parking is a little rough on the weekends at night time.

Ordinarily I love this place. Today we had the worst server ever — he honestly changed our opinion of the entire establishment. He’s in plain view of all staff and still not«getting it». Somewhere a village is missing their idiot.

So I decided to take another trip back to this pizza place. Thought I would give it a second chance. Ordered a pie to go. Like I said before. I don’t think I will ever dine in there again. So I went back and I got a pie for my family to take home. I’m not quite sure what happened between a year ago when I first tried the pizza to now. Maybe there was a change in the owner or new management. The pizza doesn’t have the same great FRESH taste it had about a year ago. I was here back in May, and I had the barbecue chicken pizza. Wasn’t as good as last year. I figured this time I will keep it simple and get pepperoni and cheese. Nope! I’ll stick to Frank’s pizza from now on in the mid-state mall plaza.

We were excited to try a brick oven pizza place for a change. Plus they had gluten free pizza. What a disappointment!!! First off they are Overpriced. They Charged us for our garlic knots that we did not receive and the cheese on all three pizzas was ½ off the pizza when it was delivered. What a mess. The gluten free pizza was gross, chewy and missing ½ of the cheese. We will not be ordering from them again.

Worst customer service I have received to date! The manager is downright rude! I called for delivery and there was a miscommunication between the person who took my call and the delivery person regarding the city where the pizza is being delivered. Understandable. It happens. Two hours later, I received cold pizza. I called respectfully and asked to speak to the manager regarding the incident. I first was told«yeah, we’ll take care of you next time. Just ask for Antonio.» What does«we’ll take care of you mean?» Does that mean I’ll receive another pizza or a discount? How long do I have to honor that agreement? And what can I do to verify that you and I had this conversation so I can successfully be «taken care of.» Antonio says nastily, «well, you should have sent it back.» I told him that I had guests to feed and they’ve been waiting longer than expected to eat and that we’ll keep the pizza but I wanted to know what can be done to remedy the situation. He says«well you can’t get free pizza, you should have sent it back so we can make you a fresh one» and ends the call. He turned a miscommunication that could have been handled respectfully and ensuring the continuous receipt of my business to a curt response that will guarantee I will never step foot, recommend, or encourage that anyone I know orders from there again! Take your business elsewhere, Unilocal

We cannot recall when we had worse pizza. The waiter brought garlic knots for our appetizer. They were cold and rubbery. None of us liked it. We ordered two pizzas and neither were good. The sauce had no flavor. The dough was similar to frozen pizza dough. One one pizza we ordered olives. The olives were from a can and were under cooked. On another pizza we ordered extra cheese knowing that it would have a lot of flavor. The cheese they used was of low quality and had no flavor. Other people have pointed some of this out in their reviews. The waiter never came by our table to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. She only came to give our appetizer, take our order, and bring our order. She never brought us more water. We were the only ones in the dining section. I’m not sure if that is how they operate or it was just the case with us. We came more than an hour before the restaurant was closing, so I was concerned about the quality of the food. However, people were taking out and while we ate, deliveries were being made. Furthermore, I’ve had great pizza made at restaurants that were just about to close. Since people were taking out and ordering, I assume the food we got is how it always is. The service would not have been a major issue if the food was good. It’s incredible that in 2015 restaurants think they can get away with poor service and food. The décor is chic. The plastic plates have painted tiles. I believe there are two TVs showing Italian channels(as an aside, you could hear the TVs with Italian channels but not the TV showing an American channel). Perhaps the intention is to make you think you are in Italy. They should complete ensemble by having waiters wearing jumpsuits and mustaches.

You have be crazy to open up a pizza joint anywhere in the East Brunswick area these days, and yet that’s exactly what the owners of Pasquale’s did back in 2012. My first few visits were clustered around their grand opening, and I had only recently moved back to East Brunswick from Brooklyn. I gave them every benefit of the doubt and apparently had meals good enough to warrant them four stars back in June 2012. Over time, though, as I settled back into mainstays like Brothers and Dusals, and then discovered newcomers like Mancini, it was clear that Pasquale’s really didn’t rank up to these local heavyweights. But being a sucker for the little guy, I was compelled to try them again last night, with my wife picking up delivery. I was pretty much expecting it to be a bomb. But truth be told, Pasquale’s still held up pretty decently. While I am dropping them down a star because I just can’t put them on the same level of my aforementioned go-to joints above, I’d still say the pizza and sandwiches are A-OK. I ordered a chicken parm sub, and while there was absolutely nothing standout about it, there was nothing wrong with it either. The bread was light and crusty, not heavy, which I like. The chicken was cooked nicely and was sliced up in the sandwich. And the cheese and sauce came together to create that standard issue chicken parm sandwich flavor that you’ve had at just about any halfway decent pizza joint in New Jersey. It was completely fine for a quick dinner at home on a night when I was working late anyway. My wife got a grilled veggie wrap which she said she really enjoyed. And that’s a pretty big compliment because she absolutely obsesses over the veggie panini at Mancini. My son had a slice of pizza, which I had to sample first. Pasquale’s pizza reminds me of pizza down the boardwalk — again, nothing special. But the thin crust and cornmeal dusted bottom makes me feel like I’m down in Wildwood eating a greasy reheated slice with ocean waves crashing in the distance. Anything that makes me fondly recall a trip down the shore is A-OK in my book. The total miss in our order was the Pasta Fagioli. I’m pretty sure they didn’t drain the beans from the can, because the broth consisted primarily of that thick, glurpy, starch that you find at the bottom of a can of beans. It ruined the whole flavor of the soup and I actually threw the whole bowl out after just two bites.(Normally I can make it through anything if I’m hungry enough.) Tsk, tsk. With the recent demise of Alfonso’s, only months after an extensive move and renovation, it’s clear that the noose must be tightening around local pizza joints who can’t hold up to the big guys in town. Pasquale’s must be doing something right because they always seem to be doing a decent business when I drive by. But it’s not a place I would ever make a destination given that there is just too much better pizza and Italian grub in town.

Best grandma pizza. If you like fresh garlic, plum tomatoes and fresh basil… This pies for you! If you eat in then you’ll probably meet Pasquale the owner. He’s attentive and runs his business with customers in mind.

You must try! You might never see this place unless your looking for it, I have passed by it countless times not knowing the well priced tasty Italian food contain there in. First may I tell you how helpful the staff is if you decide to BYOB, we did and it is always a favorite. My meal from the perfectly done calamari, to my fresh salad, on to my veal parm while spaghetti carbonara everything was delirious.

Grandma’s Pizza! All I have to say. Whether you order a slice of it or a whole pizza, it was surprisingly bursting with flavor and really delicious. I know, doesn’t look like much at first glance, but the flavors in the tomato sauce were extraordinary! Nice crisp all along the bottom of the pizza. No gooey, soft spots here. I was craving a slice of pepperoni, olives, and mushroom which they so kindly accommodated and threw in the oven for me. Yum. Stopped in here since I didn’t have a chance to grab a slice in NY. Opted for Carnegie’s amazing pastrami sandwich and picnic in Central Park. Nice little location off the beaten path. Real Italian restaurant from the food to the staff. Friendly service. I’d stop by here again when passing through NJ. Parking: Small private lot.

I’ve passed this pizza place many times en route to Target. I had a hankering for pizza so I had to stop in. This is a newer pizza/Italian restaurant without the divey-ness of most pizza places. I ordered a slice of margarita pizza. It was pretty tasty, not super oily and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. They were speaking Italiano so you know the place is legit. If you don’t want pizza, they have other food items on their menu and another dining room which is great for date night!

I really like this place because it’s great pizza and great service. You can tell the people there really care about the quality of their product and their customers. I order pies for my office and they’re always just coming out of the oven when I walk in and still piping hot when I get back to the office. Once the one pizza had a hole in it so the guy insisted he make me a replacement pizza free of charge. The free garlic knots for take out are a nice touch too.
