RIPPOFF, I just had a tongue sandwich this day at Lox, Stock and Deli. A warm tongue sandwich. The Sandwich was very good. The size it shrunk to half or less of what it was of the original size. I look at it, and my daughter looked at it. We ask the waitress to check on it and sent it back. She came back with the sandwich, correct size. It got smaller because it was warmed up. Tongue is a very very lean meat. For $ 14.00 not worth it ‚$ 7.00 eh. I got home and had a devil dog. New Owners„ well I felt RIPPED, RIPPED, RIPPEDOFF. It will be a long time before I spend my money at Lox, Stock, and Deli.

Honestly do NOT go here they are SOOooooo rude there is a lady with short hair and glasses on the phone and in person she is just as rude. After placing a $ 225 lunch you would think she would be the slightest bit nice. I asked for a customized receipt and she writes down $ 225 on a paper and hands it to me and says no one needs this your the first person. I am a pharma rep we need itemized receipts!!! Anyway the food is pretty good but just based on service why would anyone go here! I hope none of my offices in the area order from them again!!! Horrible!!!

What is not to love? 8 soup choices, specials for lunch. I chose ½ pastrami sandwich/soup/salad bar. I am stuffed, I wish I had room for the cookies and fruit. My sandwich was piled high, I did even think I had a ½ sandwich. Soft/fresh rye. Pastrami is by Hebrew National so its Kosher ;) They have a large seating area, clean, with a TV, nice décor. So many food options.

Best salad bar in Middlesex county! The staff and owners are very nice people. For the quality of food the price is spot on!

This place is so over priced. Food is decent. We recently had a large party and I ordered some emergency supplementary food from here since some of my Fiancés friends are kosher. His friends canceled at the last minute and we have been eating it all week lol. Love the soup and the roast beef sandwiches. Brisket I would skip the meat seemed low quality. $ 12.50 for a sandwich on rye is redic but I must say im in now way up on my kosher pricing. I am used to paying about $ 7.50 for something like that.

Overstuffed corned beef sandwich but tasteless. Fries greasy. Good kasha knish. Place seems to be going downhill but it’s the only kosher restaurant in the area.

I very rarely come here, because the food is over priced & not that great, most of the staff are either rude, or seem disinterested. Was looking for a little fruit salad today. I said to the guy behind the counter, very nicely, please no grapefruit. I said it twice. An American woman behind the counter also asked him to not put Grapefruit into the container. That’s three times. A small container of fruit, $ 4.27, THEREWASGRAPEFRUITINIT! Because of medications, I HADTOTHROWITOUT! Terrible.

Good food but I dread calling to place an order because the people that work there are so rude. It’s to the point where I’d rather not go back there than have to call and get the attitudes.

Gave this place 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. Do not ask for extra mustard with your take out order, you will be charged for it. As for the food, I have had much much better, The corned beef was stringy and dry. The older man with glasses who runs the register has the personality of a wet noodle. Done with this place. I have no idea what others are raving about. OVERPRICED!

lox stock is a great jewish deli. the food is no-nonsense delicious jewish deli cuisine. anybody on Unilocal who’s writing 1star reviews for this place is probably mental. last visit, i had a lunch combo: half pastrami, salad bar and soup, which i upgraded to matzoh ball. shared a knish with my best friend. can of celray to drink, with a straw. everything was marvelous. salad greens were crisp, mac salad was homestyle excellence, dressing options included ken’s(can’t beat kens), soup was warming, properly seasoned, and the matzoh ball was both firm and tender. but the pastrami… woo! was piled between soft rye, thinly cut, laced with just the right amount of fat, and melted in the mouth. oh my! knish was hot, flaky, oniony, and awesome. hell of a meal. not to mention, the waitress was the sweetest woman. thanks!

Not cheap or fancy but it was a great place to go during work for fast service and not being pressured to eat and leave. They started us of with giant pickles! Yum! I got the half turkey sandwich with soup and salad from the bar. The sandwich was filled with really delicious turkey that wasn’t salty and was moist. They also had great honey mustard sauce on the side to go with it. The split pea soup was creamy and delicious and while the salad bar looked unkempt from afar, it had some decent choices like the kugel, slaw, potato salad and Mac salad. I’d definitely come back again during my lunch hour!

We ordered catering from here and they were very chintzy with the portions. Also seemed the food was prepared the night before. Not so good except the pickles.

Would give less than 1 star if Unilocal permitted. Number one, the guy who works the cash register older man glasses is just a rude no personality person. Probably the owner and just not pleasant, and I spend a decent amount of money there. I held off writing this till I tried it a few times, eating in, catering, buying appetizing items etc. the food is just ok, bland, they get top dollar for their items and the entire place counter people, managers etc are just rude. They make you feel like you’re doing something wrong by just ordering or asking a question. Unfortunately they are the only game in town for Jewish deli items and so they have a good business in spite of themselves. But not me I’m done after today.

Lox Stock & Deli has been on my Unilocal bookmark list for a while and on a lazy post Christmas day, me and my sister decided on trying this restaurant. Being an ex-NY’er I’m no newbie to deli food, so Lox Stock & Deli was a good local choice. –The restaurant is located in a medium sized strip mall with plenty of parking. Walking into the restaurant one is greeted by a plethora of to-go options from the deli; first passing the well stocked and decadent looking pastry display and then the cold cut area. –We were greeted by the maitre d’ upon walking into the restaurant sitting area which is located in a cozy room directly opposite the deli ordering area. The sitting area looks small but well arranged with cushy bench seating along the perimeter. –Having survived Christmas dinner, I decided on getting something a little lighter and ordered the tuna salad sandwich on rye with tomato. First offering was a dish of complimentary pickles that were tasty and crunchy with two types of pickles offered(heavier brine and light brine). The tuna salad was super fresh and placed between two equally fresh pieces of rye bread. I’ve had bad tuna salad in the past(ahem…too much mayo to tuna ratio), but Lox Stock & Deli had a perfect ratio for me as I’m not a fan of mayonnaise at all(actually went 2.5 years avoiding the stuff). So it was with great pleasure to taste a good tuna salad. –My sister opted for mushroom barley soup to start and she gobbled it up pretty quick, which confirmed it was to her liking. For the entrée it was an easy choice for her; the classic hot corned beef & pastrami on rye. The sandwich was a perfect size, just enough to satisfy one person with a little left over, which I graciously volunteered to finish off to avoid leaving leftovers LOL. Corn beef was very nicely brined(not overly salty at all), lean, yet moist. The pastrami was tasty as well, but IMO the corned beef was the stand out of the two. –I can’t forget to mention the coleslaw that came as a side with each sandwich, that was again very fresh and delicious with nice crunchy lettuce and not overly dressed with mayonnaise. I will definitely be making another visit to try the other offerings at Lox Stock & Deli, especially the desserts(I had my eye on a heavenly looking chocolate challah bread… yum)!

Tried this for the first time last night. Everyone was happy with their entrees — soup with flanken, brisket, pastrami and fries. Manager handed us two crumb cakes on the house to take home when we left. Very smart business move. Will try again.

Good food here, you’ll really feel like you are in your grandmother’s(or Bubbi’s) kitchen when you eat here. They have some of the best meats, and Kosher cuisine within a 20 mile radius of East Brunswick(yes, the restaurant is in Milltown). Always recommend bringing your family or some friends here, because the atmosphere is great and you’ll definitely find something you can enjoy. Now that I live in Virginia, it makes it hard for me to enjoy such foods like these, but when I come back to NJ I savor whatever I can so I can always taste the greatness and remind myself how wonderful some of the food is up in the northern part of the United States. My only complaints are that the prices are a bit pricey, and sometimes, you get people who do stay for hours on end, so when you do want a seat, you could wait a while until they leave, and yes, some people do stay long after they are finished just to schmooze with the wait staff, or schmooze in general.

Over priced Jewish deli. The bagels are embarrassingly bad. I’ve popped in on a few occasions and my hopes and dreams of a great Jewish deli/eatery close to home have been smashed once too often. Consistently inconsistent is the theme here. For me I’d rather drive 15 or 20 minutes more to Jerry & Harveys in Marlboro on rt 9 North.
