This is a great place in both the summer and winter months. The pizza is good and the patio is excellent to spend a warm summer or around afternoon /Evening.

There just aren’t very many places around these parts that have a pizza oven like the one here. Like, say, none! When you order a «plain old» margherita at TSG you get the real deal: blackened, charred crust; gorgeous San Marzanos, and beautiful medallions of fresh mozzarella. The instant you bite into it, you get that satisfying sensation reminiscent of the first time you visit Italy and try«real» pizza. Yep, the pie is that good. So why only four stars? Well, I think as superlative as the pizza is the rest of the menu, while very, very good, does not aspire to the same level of authenticity. Their spin on a porchetta sandwich, while tasty and certainly an echo of classic porchetta flavors, is thinly sliced pork loin with cheese and arugula — not the slow-roasted, crispy skin type you typically see in Italy(or in Sara Jenkins’ benchmark, eponymously named place for the dish in NYC). So I guess I’d just be a little more probing with the servers about the non-pizza dishes before jumping in. But I will happily(and regularly) visit TSG on visits to Millbrook!

The food was amazing, I would go back for dinner , If the hostess/owner was a bit more friendly. When she showed us our table, we asked if there would be a chance to get us a low seating table(we had a high table) we were told«take it or leave it «we stayed, but it put a damper on the evening. Also the Music, which was very nice, was so loud, you had to yell to each other to hear the conversation. We Asked the waiter if other people had complaint and he said people comment on the loud music all the time. We will not dine there again, but the food was outstanding. Too bad. :((

Outstanding food and service. If you have not dined here you are missing out on a great place. The pizza has to be one of the best that I have ever had. That includes Italy and NYC pies. A great menu with many choices, not just pizza. I live over an hour away or I would go weekly. Do not miss out on this fabulous place. Bravo!!!

Every meal at Trattoria San Giorgio should start with Joe’s flatbread which is seasoned to perfection and made to order in the pizza oven. The CIA chef they have is outstanding. This visit, we tried a salad on the specials menu with butternut squash, mixed greens, apple and fontina which was wonderful. I had the tagliatelle pasta with roasted mushrooms and cauliflower and it was delicious. There are plenty of vegetarian options for me, as well we, non vegetarian options for my wife. If you stop for lunch, the PANUOZZO is a must have. Can’t wait to return for Restaurant Week!

Been here 3 – 4 times in as many months recently. The thin crust Neapolitan style pizza is usually good(sometimes burnt), menu is creative, albeit a little pricey for what you get. We have only sit outside in the new deck space, which is great, the village sorely needs more outside seating for it’s restaurants. The deck could use some more plants, interesting lighting and decorations, and the chairs are a bit uncomfortable, but it’s not bad. The salads seem to be fresh, and the risotto I ordered was cooked nicely and was tasty, but pretty skimpy on the seafood that was supposed to be in it. The drink specials are good too. I’d give the place a higher rating if it weren’t for the spotty service. Not attentive to the water, no bread, etc. It depends on who is serving you I guess. They seem to go through a lot of help, due to what we think is about how they treat their help(poorly) and as some others have commented, the demeanor of the owners.

So delicious! I had the ravioli stuffed with eggplant and I think it’s the best homemade pasta I ever tasted. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good. Sit outside on a warm evening.

Went for Sunday Brunch with a group of 12 friends, we were seated on the patio which was perfect on this summer day. The service was great and so was the food as it was delivered to the table. Pizzas to die for clam pizza, garlic pizza were just a few .The rice balls were so good we asked for an order to go, being such a large group we tried just about everything on the menu. The pastas were all cooked to perfection, Taglietelle Bolognese(a meat sauce) Linguine Gamberi Pomodori(Shrimp, garlic and tomato) .We had a local zucchini sauteed in a tomato and garlic sauce topped off with fresh mozzarella. please save room for dessert, all home made. The cheese cake was great as was the pizza with nutella. I would recommend Trattoria San Giorgio for a great Sunday brunch or for a great meal any time.

This was our first time here. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The service needs some improvement. All were friendly and courteous but slow and forgetting to bring another glass of wine or coffee. We were finished with dessert for five minutes and still coffee had not arrived. Food was good enough to make us want to return and hope for better service.

Have visited twice. Reasonable and decent brick oven pizza. AVOID !!! $ 35 bottle of «homemade» Sangria. Note to owner, Sangria needs to be made a day ahead of time. Your Sangria tasted like some last minute cut up fruit added to 2 buck chuck red wine. If your going to try and rush it you need to add some brandy and simple sugar to try and extract some flavor. That and the price literally left a bad taste in my mouth

What a delicious meal for a birthday celebration! We shared many wonderful dishes. I particularly loved the bone in pork/chard/peaches entrée and the ravioli with asparagus & chicken. Ingredients are so fresh & well prepared! Save room for the best cheesecake and olive oil cake. Excellent from start to finish!

I am so thrilled that Millbrook and the surrounding towns has this restaurant in the local mix. The pizzas are unique and delicious, the pastas are incredible and the brunch menu is perfect for the area. The outdoor patio offers a great relaxed and quaint vibe for an outdoor dinner or summer lunch and the live music was a needed element in the area. On top of it all, Joe and Gordana are the most gracious owners and you can expect the best treatment. Highly recommended!

This was my fourth visit to San Giorgio ‘s, and it gets better each visit. In the past I complained about their lack of bread. Now they had a great bread basket and quickly offered to refill it. My friend and I had a delicious salad with grilled shrimp. The salad was fresh and delicious; we loved the dressing. Our other friends had a ravioli special: chicken and asparagus. It looked great and they enjoyed every bite. A beautiful evening can’t be credited to the restaurant, but we certainly enjoyed it on their beautiful patio. Altogether it was a very good experience with prompt, friendly service and delicious food.

Went to the Trevor Zoo and drove through the village looking for a quick bite afterwards. We stumbled upon this gem and had a wonderful experience. We were seated outside on the patio which was perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon. My wife and I had the Caesar Salad and the Soppersata Pizza. Everything was wonderfully fresh and definitely made in house. The Caesar Dressing had just the right amount of anchovy where you got the flavor without being overwhelmed, and the salad also contained some nicely cooked pancetta which added a little more crunch than just the croutons. The wood fired pizza was cooked to perfection and had chili oil and honey drizzled over it to offer a nice contrast between sweet and spicy. My favorite part was dipping the leftover crust into the mixture of oil and honey that accumulated on the plate. The service was also exquisite as we were never left wanting for anything and also not bombarded. We also took 2 Mocha Coconut Iced Coffees to go which perked us up for our trip back down to Westchester. Overall a great lunch and we will be returning for more brunch there when we are in the area.

Okay we were in the area two nights in a row to see my daughter in her school musical. The first night, we kind of wandered in. Not crowded at 6pm. Pretty, comfortable room. Very un-dense, so noise level nonexistent and plenty of privacy for conversation. Hmmm… getting interesting. I’d read the previous reviews, so I was aware that at least some people claim to have had a bad experience. Though I am skeptical of the way people use Unilocal to injure and destroy, rather than to offer genuine criticism, so I am always skeptical of 1-star reviews and the despicable catchphrase: «will not be returning,» often followed by «will tell all my friends not to go.» Puh-leeze. People are so self-important! Anyway, back to San Giorgio. We ordered. Pizzas: very nice handmade from a wood-fired oven. Pasta: very credible Penne ala Vodka. Pasta cooked perfectly. Great texture. Nice flavors, well integrated. Alright! My low-carb option: braised short rib with polenta: really excellent flavor, not quite as cooked-to-submission as I like. The sauce was really good and it all sat on a massive mound of not very low-carb polenta, which, by the way, we very good. Brocolli rabe on the side: home run! chopped, cooked soft, plenty of garlic. Everyone loved it. Desserts: very nice flourless chocolate(nut flour, so be careful of you’re allergic), and an excellent, if slightly dense, cheesecake. Good decaf espresso. Second night we returned with family and friends up for the musical. Tried the salmon: simple and excellent. Had a very nice bottle of Italian primitivo for some very not high price. Otherwise similar experience to the night before. In other words, for the prices(not high), and in context of the very good service and very nice room: excellent. Friendly place. Good service. Very good food. not expensive. What’s not to like? As is often the case, the punishing bad reviews Unilocal seems to bring out in people turn out to be at the very least outdated, probably overblown, perhaps outright malicious. Trattoria San Giorgio is definitely worth a try!

This review is long overdue, but absolutely deserved. We have dined here on 4 different occasions, and truly enjoyed each and every experience. I give this !!! It is family owned and operated with pride. The food is excellent, and they prepare specials with seasonal ingredients. The pesto gnocchi was to die for. The ambience is unbeatable. Charming Millbrook setting with In or outdoor patio dining. The choices of wine is just right. We got to try an abundance of the food and wine because we liked it so much, my son chose to have his rehearsal dinner here. The owners and staff were very accommodating and did a Fantastic job. We cannot wait to go back. Thank You. The Patrone’s-NY

Should be 3.5 stars, but I’m rounding up because properly made Neapolitan pizza is practically impossible to find around here and that deserves the extra half-star. This restaurant, according to our server, opened in December. As such, they are still working out some bugs, most notably with service, but also with keeping menu items in stock. Wine list is small and mostly Italian. Unfortunately, out of 4 white wines on the list, 3 were out of stock. No good excuse for that! The food had its ups and downs. First we had cheeses and salami despite our waitress having little idea what came on the plate. Spicy soppresata, cappicola, prosciutto and speck, along with some unremarkable cheeses, one of which was a deli provolone. There were a few olives, no bread. It was average at best. Next, the mussels special — cooked with white wine, plum tomatoes and garlic — really good, but needed a couple of pieces of crusty bread to go along with it — the sauce was worth of it. The pizza was the real star — this is as close to authentic Neapolitan pizza that you’re going to get in the United States. Thin and crispy crust, charred perfectly, with quality ingredients(DOC mozzarella di bufala). Really, really great. We had an arugula salad with beets, walnuts and shaved parmesan along side the pizza — it was fine, lightly dressed. 4 «quartinos»(glass and a half) of wine, 2 appetizers, 1 salad and a pizza — $ 130 with tax and tip… kinda pricy. Next time, just pizza and wine for us, but we’ll be back.

We visited this wonderful place during its soft opening between Christmas and New Years for lunch. The pizzas were exceptionally good. The crust is outstanding and the sauce is wonderful, made with San Marzano tomatoes. The pastas were also wonderful. One daughter had the Bolognese special and the other had carbonara. Both were really outstanding. They don’t make their own pastas yet but plan to. Service was exceptionally good, especially considering the place had just opened. The space is open and has a bar. Trattoria San Giorgio is a wonderful addition to Millbrook!
