Very small place, not too small. Didn’t have to wait long to get a table. My wife had the pork tenderloin I had the cheeseburger both were absolutely delicious! Would definitely go back.

Excellent cuisine every time. As good as it gets in Millbrook. I miss Café Les Baux since I moved away, but visit whenever I head back there.

Been here three times. First time I ordered the mussel appetizer which is so big you can eat as a meal. The 2nd time I tried the croque Monsier which was amazing. Came here tonight for dinner and had the lamb rack. Absolutely superb. My father got the curried lamb stew and the lamb was so tender it melted in your mouth. It was hard to decide who had the better meal. Everytime at the restaurant ive tried one of their soups and it never disappoints. The only downside was at times ther service seemed a little cold and pretentious. Other than that it is highly recommended.

Call this a 4.4. We stopped in for a Saturday lunch before hitting the winery. We started with soups — the asparagus and garlic(both specials) were spot on, the onion tasty, but a bit small I thought. I don’t associate onion soup with Provence, but I guess it’s what Americans require from French restaurants, and what my daughter wanted. Good bread and butter. Nicoise salads were very successful. A beautiful piece of fresh tuna(you usually get canned across the pond), artistically placed anchovies, egg, beans, potato. Not too much dressing. The frisee was also enjoyed, but was more of an appetizer portion(as it is in France) not a main. Luckily we ordered a side of gratin potatoes(thanks Unilocal reviewers) which were excellent. Glasses of rose hit the spot. I’d go back.

Just a great experience. Food is great! I obliterated my salad with such joy. That is a sentiment I almost never feel. Entrées were great, too. The wait staff was just the best. We were traveling north up the Taconic. Easy to get from the highway. If you’re in need of a good meal while traveling, check this place out.

My husband and I come here on special occasions. There lamb burger is really good. My go to dish is the duck which is cooked to a perfect mid-rare, although the last time I had it, it seemed a little tough and chewy but I’ll forgive them this time. The gratin is so rich and scrumptious, you feel guilty with every bite. The flourless choclate cake is another rich dish, but to die for.

Outstanding culinary cuisine! Priced well below some others in the area that do not compare. I recommend the mussels or the lamb burger– they are amazing!

My wife and I stopped in for dinner with no reservations after our visit to Millbrook Winery. We were immediately sat down and our evening was a delight from there. Ambience had a country side feel. Wonderful French music in the background. Service was outstanding. And the food was the best French cuisine I’ve had outside of France itself. We got a fig salad with goat cheese, escargot, mussels in wine and a filet of sole, meuniere. Absolutely amazing dinner. Too bad they are 1.5 hours from where we live. If in the area, a must try! Hats off to the owner of this establishment. They got this right! Bön appetite!

4.5 over all. Very fortunate to be in the area and enjoy lunch at this charming and unpretencious restaurant. The food was interesting and tasty; the interior cozy; and the service friendly. I hope to have the opportunity to return here some day.

Don’t hesitate to eat here. Reservations are a must for dinner. Every dish is excellent especially the broccoli soup, mussels, grilled salmon and lamb burgers. Try the chocolate mousse for dessert – it’s enough for two.

This hidden gem in Dutchess county did not disappoint from start to finish. The hot chocolate, Asparagus soup, and lamb burgers completely blew me away! Service was quick and efficient, friendly and warm. I will be back for more.

I’ve NEVER had a bad meal here. Though it is a bit pricey I promise you will not regret spending the money, so worth it. So, so good. Get the frites, you won’t be disappointed.

lovely place, tiny but nice service, chef’s wife and co-owner came by twice to say hello and we chatted about our first visit, all was GREAT, especially the salad dressing and our main course we split of sole meuniere, fabulous and nice rice and vegetables and ample for two, only glitch, awful stale bread, make it fresh and yummy like le petit bistro in rhinebeck. But good value and generous, we also shared a glass of wine since we had been to an art opening with nibbles first. we will return for sure, classic french bistro fare

Good stuff! Pretty classic French cuisine. Nothing too fancy, but all really well done. Great wine list with some really reasonably priced French bottles. We both had fish — cooked perfectly, fresh and light. We also enjoyed a plate of different local goat cheeses with local honey — really excellent. For dessert? Nutella and banana crepes, which were as fantastic as they sound. Service was solid.

Fabulous time here. Went for belated Valentine’s lunch over the weekend. Haven’t been here in years and it’s still as good as I remember We each had a glass of wine — Chablis for my hubs and a really nice burgundy Pinot Noir for me. Both were outstanding. I had a Croque Monsieur which was perfectly done and so filling and we split a side of potato gratin which was one of the best I’ve ever eaten outside of France! He had a huge plate of Moules Mariniere and a side of frites. Flavor was great and the mussels huge and fresh, though on occasion he found some grit. We shared a delicious Tart Tatin with a side of crème fraiche. The plate was dusted with cocoa powder which really wasn’t necessary. The one rather odd thing is that though the place itself is so cute and cozy in terms of the décor, it was very cold inside which made it a bit uncomfortable to dine. And we weren’t seated near the door at all. Overall solid French food and totally worth every penny.

Stopped there for lunch. Small place right off the Main street in Millbrook. Nice simple ambiance, comfortable tables. All food was very tasty — Potato leak soup — very warm-feeling, perfect comfort food. Escargot were done excellently, baked under bread crumbs with just right amount of garlic. I had Croque Madame sandwich which had perfect texture and very tasty cheese. Service was nice and prompt. Keep in mind that place is pretty expensive — simple lunch for two will cost you about $ 60, and if you order plates, it will be $ 100+. The place is recommended.

I had been planning a trip to the Millbrook Winery and wanted to grab lunch at a nice place beforehand. I glanced through all the reviews on here and found that Café Les Baux was rated very highly, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Café Les Baux is really easy to get to and there’s plenty of parking around the restaurant. My fiancée and I loved this place! The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service is very good. I ordered the croque monsieur and it was absolutely delicious and my fiancée got the lamb burger and couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend coming to this place if you’re in the area, you won’t be disappointed!
