Theres just something about this place. The staff … the owner… yikes. Worst customer service anywhere. They should just close down and have a pizza or chinese place go in there!

Mouldy bagels!!!
Beware! Bagels are not fresh and were mouldy! Disgusting! This place is horrible!

I have been a Chef and in the Food industry for more years than i care to admit and Brennan’s is one of the scariest Deli’s I have ever seen. To keep things short, I’ve seen Bread with mold sold, refrigeration has gone down for three days instead of tossing the the meat that went without refrigeration. it was used in the daily specials and frozen to be used later. Myself I would not eat anything made there. I don’t know about there sanitation practices but I am not willing to take the chance. I will not go near the place unless there is a new owner who knows something about food

Came in for some sandwiches but got an earful from a disgruntled employee. I ordered a sandwich from one of the people at the deli, and her coworker started launching f-​bombs. She was mad because she thought the deli should close at 8, not 9 – I came in at 8:15, and they didn’t say they were closed. Then I made the mistake of ordering onions on it, which was met with more f-​bombs. I had to get a sandwich for my wife, too, and that elicited sighs and angry crashing about. At this point, I was in too deep to just walk away without paying for the sandwiches I ordered; out of decency, I paid for the stuff and tried to be nice to the woman who made my sandwiches. But, obviously, I’ll never go back again – I certainly wouldn’t want to inconvenience them! Fled to Stewart’s afterward to get macaroni salad and chips instead of giving Brennan’s more of my money.

Brennan’s is actually located on Rte 44 in Washington Hollow, not on Washington Ave. They are an okay convenience store type supermarket and okay deli as long as your expectations are not too high. I basically only go there only in a pinch. For example, I gave them another try today and ordered a grilled pastrami rueben (menu item) which is typically on rye bread with Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. What I got was on a hard roll with no cheese or dressing and instead of grilling it they threw it in the microwave.
