This is a wonderful neighborhood Italian Restaurant. Came here for dinner with my friend. The service is friendly and the food excellent. I tried the Pumpkin Ravioli baked in a light cream, mozzarella, & parmigiana sauce. The ravioli was tender and filled generously. The cream sauce was salty, creamy and delicious. Despite the heavy ingredients the ravioli was light. I could have eaten 2 portions, it was so good!!! I will definitely be returning.

Waited for over 30 minutes, no one approached us and then the waiter took someone before us. Horrible service! What happened O’ Sole Mio to your customer service? Very disappointing!

Slow service. Food is average to above average. It’s kind on the expensive side. Parking can be tough after 5 or 6pm. Not the best but the not the worst. Maybe be back?

The food was average to good — we were eight people. I had the steak, which was great and perfectly cooked. Everything else was good, old-school Italian food, no better, no worse. But you know how Ramsey has his restaurant from hell show where the staff wants to kill each other? This was like that. There is nothing positive to say about the«service» from beginning to end. The busboy was the best and then we just opened our doggy bag for lunch and it’s the wrong meal. Sullen, surly, nobody smiles and we had to tell them what to do, ourselves, most of the time. The food was good enough, the whole staff seemed to have had a dark cloud hovering over them. Never again… Table who sat after us had soup before she even said hello to us… Everybody seemed to think they were doing us a favor by having us there.

Very slow service but average Italian food. They have a huge selection of pastas and other classic Italian dishes, so there is definitely something for everyone. First off, I will commend them for their bread, as it was hot, crusty, and delicious. I had the baked rigatoni with meat sauce and cheese, which was piping hot and pretty good. The linguini with fresh clams was awesome, great clam flavor, but the linguine was soggy. Man, if that pasta was cooked correctly that would have been a delicious plate of food. Chicken piccata portion was a little small, and the grilled salmon was well-received. Overall, you pretty much know what you’re going to get at a place like this. It’s definitely a solid family restaurant and a good place to get your carb fix, but I wouldn’t expect anything above average.

Great food and the pricing is very reasonable. The setting and atmosphere gives it a very cozy feeling. The music gives the place a relaxed, laid back vibe to spend with your loved ones. I love the food and the staff is great and super friendly. Also to mention they have the best pizza in town. I’d definitely recommend to anyone

Delicious food! The pasta was perfect and the bread was delicious too. I had the tortellini and it was pretty good. It took a moment for the flavor to really hit me, but it was still yummy. My boyfriend had spaghetti and meatballs and they were perfect. Will probably get those again. The waitress seemed a little flustered at first and stressed because she was the only one there. It was uncomfortable in the beginning but her personality grew on us and she was quite funny. :) very nice.

Quaint place. Slow service. The menu and food don’t look like they’ve changed in decades. The bread was good. Wine list was meager — is this California?. I had the linguine with fresh clams. The pasta was so soft as to be inedible but the clams and the sauce were delicious. Ditto the spaghetti with meat sauce — decent red sauce but, again, soggy pasta. Please, learn to cook pasta properly! The chicken piccata was tasty but the portion was O’ Sole Mini! The baked rigatoni was pretty good. Grilled salmon looked overcooked but was edible.

I didn’t have desert, but the lasagne was great, as was the bruschetta. The service is abrupt, but I like it that way.

Where to start with this place. We were looking for a great Italian restaurant after moving to the Bay Area and we found it! Great service, great food! Everything is just perfect down to the complimentary bread. Had the penne pasta with spinach and chicken, linguine with shrimp and salmon and eggplant parm, all totally awesome and good to the last bite. This is a friendly family owned restaurant and a great place to grab a meal, you won’t be disappointed. The staff really make you feel at home.

My experiences at O’ Sole Mio have been digressing. If I based my review on the first visit, I would give them a 4-star, but each time I’ve gone back, their service has noticeably declined. The food is decent, but I can go to several other Italian joints in the area with food just as good(or better) and with significantly better service. For that reason, my family decided we will not be returning back to this establishment. The last time we went, some waitress was barking orders at us on where we needed to stand to wait for a seat(which the sign directed us to go to a location different than she was so graciously revealing) and then the other waitress«serving» our table abandoned us once she delivered our meal and she was never to be seen again until she presented the check. We didn’t get water or bread refills, because she made herself so unavailable. My dad had to go up and flag down a busboy at one point to help us(kudos to the bus boy). I also don’t remember a juke box being so expensive to play a song. I wouldn’t be so critical since it was my choice to pay money to hear particular songs… except only half of my songs played at all(we put the money in the beginning and didn’t hear the other selections throughout our meal).

Have the Petrale Sole ~ o’Sole mio– the best and so very fresh! Don’t be in a hurry here. Sip some wine, the French bread is devine! John is the perfect host. We will be back!!!

Another fine meal here. Me and the wife had an evening without the kids. So we decided to come here and enjoy the pasta. As always getting ravioli and spaghetti. And meatballs. The wife had the seafood linguine. Bother I can’t tell you but when these dishes are done right, you are rather full and happy. That was me an I just had half of the plate. The other half was made Togo and will be enjoyed at a later time. Kinda like some foods are better the next day, usually that doesn’t happen because it is eaten by someone in the house beforehand!!! But if that doesn’t happen the next day is perfection. We enjoy the service and desserts here. So if you have a chance come buy. Plus it won’t kill your pocketbook.

O’Sole Mio has the best Italian food around! Have been coming to this place for years for family events(birthdays, Mother’s Day etc.). Went here most recently last night with my husband for a date night. One of the things I really like about this place is that it is small and it’s not a big chain. It’s a more quiet, calm atmosphere. We went early for dinner and sat in the back room. To start we ordered the house salad and the chianti wine. For dinner we had the lemon butter prawns and linguini with salmon and shrimp. Some other favorites of ours that we order on occasion are the gnocchi with pesto, pumpkin ravioli, crab ravioli, and lasagne. Pretty much everything here is excellent! We finished off our meal with a slice of tiramisu. The service here is great as well. Just try this place, you won’t regret it!

This place is so cute. I love the ambience and the red checker table cloth. There is a juke box on every table and 60s music playing. The food is great and so yummy! The service was also excellent. Can’t wait to go back… Money well spend
