These guys are really into wine and it shows! Their selection is smaller but they really know their products. It’s more like a boutique — where you go for personalized service. On my last visit, they were pouring tastings of a higher-​end wine using the Coravin device — it’s unusual to be treated to something like that. Their low-​key service worked on me because I ended up buying a few bottles!

fantastic wine/​beer shop inside Pape Meats. They always have wine tastings — for free and they really value your opinion on wines they are thinking of stocking. The selection is vast and fairly priced. Also the person behind the table is always very well informed and knowledgeable and never once do they try the hard sell.
Will definitely go back for wine — it’s a perfect match (meat at Pape) and wine at Bacchus.

This is a new wine shop that will be alongside Pape Meats. Very exciting, as the Pape’s are known for quality meats and now there will be a quality wine merchant in the same location!
The store has an interesting way of presenting its wines. It’s organized by «Beef» «Pork» «Chicken» and «Fish» to make it easy for the customer who has just bought meat from the Pape’s to find the right wine to pair with their meal. There will also be someone on hand to give advice if needed.
