I am completely unclear as to why this store gets poor reviews. I come here every morning — I am greeted by my name and most of the time one of the great staff(Presida, Keri, Dan, Amy, Mina et al) have already started my very particular coffee order. Even when they are slammed, they power through the orders — even for non-regulars :) I have not experienced any of the issues others claim in some of the reviews. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff here.

I just stop by this Starbucks coffee… The employees isn’t kind friendly, I don’t know why! Starbucks used to have one of the best customer service, I place my order and they don’t even look to my face, looks like they don’t want to be there. 3 star for the coffee.

After 10 minutes, I just walked out. No coffee in hand. It did not have to end this way. With two girls behind the counter and one wandering around aimlessly ignoring the 4 people waiting on service, it seemed that my quest was doomed to end in failure. The staff did not seem to care. Yes I’m old fashioned and believe that customer service is important. Perhaps Starbucks takes a different view?

The low reviews make zero sense. This is a busy Starbucks and the employees here are extraordinarily courteous. The place has never been«dirty» in my 100+ visits. And yes, there is often a line because it’s a busy Starbucks… so get over it.

This place is super dirty. I have never been to a Starbucks this dirty not even during a rush hour. There was no line and 4 Employees Had to use the bathroom and it was filthy. The coffee bar was filthy. Just no excuse for this place.

This is certainly not the best Starbucks I have ever visited. First, the staff behind the counter was miserable. Not that they were rude or anything, but they clearly hated being there and it showed. The service was slow. I ordered a non-fat latte for my friend which had to be remade because they used whole milk. Then, as icing on the cake, I tipped my cup of coffee up for a final sip and was rewarded with a half inch of grounds. Gross.

Very rude service worker named Keri. Beware. She’ll snap at you for nothing. People like that should not be working customer service jobs. Hopefully she improves.

This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I gave them 2 stars because they were the only coffee shop opened in the area after 8 p.m. This place was filthy and dirty. The very young Baristas were hanging out with their loud, probably High School friends. They were so busy talking to their friends that when they made my husband’s coffee they did not even bother to call his name. Some other CUSTOMER told us that our drink was ready. Tables were dirty, chairs were nasty, covered with some stains and a bunch of crumbs. Whoever manages this miserable store really should be looking for some other line of work along with the horrid employees you had hired.

The man at the cashier was very efficient, professional and polite. There are Powermat recharge stations sprinkled around the store. And even Powermat rings you can borrow at the coffee bar. The environment was very relaxing and café-like. The girl behind the counter wasn’t very friendly, although I could see that she was tired from a long day of work as a Barista so in understood. Overall a very pleasant experience.(:

Pick up the phone during business hours. And seriously, $ 15.00 for a traveler of water(because«there’s no price for that»?) Go to either of the other Mill Valley Starbucks if you value good service.

The staff here spends too much time chatting behind the counter. This causes them to mess up orders and go too slow. Not the best Starbucks…

This Starbucks was not good at all the drinks were ok, but the service was awful the staff was preoccupied talking with each other than dealing with there customers. Don’t think I will be returning to this location.

This place has gone down hill over the years. What happened? Management? Bad hiring(see management)? About four years ago when I started going to this Starbucks location I thought it was worth waiting in the long lines that often form for my Latte, Cappuccino or Clover(love the Clover!). Now I often times would rather go to one of their very local«competitors», including another Starbucks in the Safeway about one block away or the La Boulange(also technically a Starbucks) around the corner. I’m an early riser and I’m often times one of the first people in the Starbucks and they consistently have all of their outsourced baked and chilled foods spread all over the floor in crates. When I walk in the staff seems more interested in stocking their shelves then do helping a customer. Listen, I get that it’s early in the morning and they’re trying their best to get ready for the day, but couldn’t they have done this before I got there? Or maybe make me a higher priority? There are other customers waiting around too, but we seem like second-class citizens to shelve stocking. WTF? In full disclosure, I keep returning to this location because they haveCclover coffee. Goes to show you that if you have poor service and higher prices and long waits, people will still buy the product if your product is that awesome. Tip: If there it is a long line at this location, walk down the street to go to the Safeway Starbucks. They have the same basic products(no Clover), but no place to sit down, of course.

Worst Starbucks ever. Takes longer than normal and staff all over the place. Go to Safeway instead. Much more organized.

This Starbucks is actually in the Safeway. There is another Starbucks nearby, a nice store located in the next block to the south at 306 Strawberry Village.

Haven’t personally gotten a bev here [yet], but went along for the ride while my mom ordered one. When she momentarily left to use the restroom, I had to pick up the completed drink for her. Already considering that we’re of different genders, and throwing my beard into the mix, the Starbucks dude was a bit thrown off at first at my appearance. He was rather humorous, actually! What I thought was particularly interesting, as this is the only Starbucks I’ve ever seen like this, was a door at each end of the store, connected by a hallway. Thus, you could enter at one end of the parking lot, and leave at the other. Good, if you want to browse the outlet mall it was a part of. On the day of a great friend’s engagement party, this was amusing, to say the least.

There are good times and bad times to come to this particular Starbucks. The good time is right before all the other parents come in after dropping their kids off at school. I was there the other day and had my Venti Vanilla Soy Latte in less than 3 minutes. Not 5 minutes later the line was out the door and they were hopping! So I don’t know if it’s gotten better or I’ve acclimated to the«Hawaii» time attitude in my little burb. But I’m feeling much more Zen about my local baristas now… especially since they got oatmeal, AND hard boiled eggs and fruit plates! Apparently they heard me when I sent thousands of people their site to ask for gluten free! :) It’s nice to be in control of a hord! Now I can have meetings there and stay for hours without worrying about fainting from hunger! And I have to say, the barista’s are super cool, know many of the regulars names(and their orders) by heart and nowadays they always have a smile. :) Not sure what the change of attitude was, but it worked and I’m now a fan.

SERVICE at this Starbucks leaves a LOT to be desired. No, actually, it sucks! Slow. VERYSLOW. I was standing in a line of several customers, waiting for my LATTE receipt so I could move to the«waiting for my coffee line.» There was only one server /cashier behind the counter. She was obviously new(let’s call her NEWBIE) and trying her best. .. .. when another Starbucks employee(she had on the green apron — let’s call her DENSO) came from the back of the store and said«DOIN’ OK?» Well, it would have been obvious to a DEADTOAD that NEWBIE needed help, but what do you think DENSO did? Yep, you guessed it. . ABSOLUTELYNOTHING! Before the NEWBIE could answer, DENSO said«I’m just too busy in the back. I gotta get this stuff done before the other one leaves.» WAIT A MINUTE! CAN’T YOUSEESHENEEDSHELP??? But DENSO just turned around and walked off. So now quite a few of us are standing in line. NEWBIE never missed a beat, she kept right on fixing COFFEEDRINKS by herself. She was obviously just learning how to put these drinks together, but trying to do her best. .. and, quite frankly, she was doing a DARNGOODJOB.. . under the circumstances.. .. BUTSLOW. * TALLLATTE, WITHWHOLEMILK — 5STARS, as usual * NEWBIE — 4STARS, heck of a performance and with a SMILE! * DENSO — ½ STAR, needs a lesson in teamwork, or a new job! * OVERALLSERVICE — SLOW, SLow, slow. .… I shall get my Latte down the street next time. .. .
