Great Indian food, great service! We loved all dishes including the lamb korma and the chicken tikka masala.

Reason for poor review: Under-staffed Un-responsive Before sitting outside, we asked if the heat lamp could be turned on –two staff members said yes. After sitting down, we asked twice to have the heat lamp turned on and each time the staff indicated someone was coming to turn it on. An hour later, still no heat. We were freezing. Also, we waited over an hour for main meal. No one checked on us in that hour. Finally, we sent someone in to say we were leaving and then someone came out to turn on the heat.

Service was okay, food was okay, prices and portions are out of control. Most other Indian places offer the same meals but include rice or naan bread for a cheaper price. This place has small portions, does not include any rice or naan for meals that should and is just overall over priced for an average place. Service was also very slow. I went during lunch, there was only 1 other table seated and it still took 20 – 30 min to get the food.

So I was randomly walking around mill valley, and found this amazing Indian place. The patio is great ! The service and food here were amazing as well. This would be the first place I would go to if I were to go to mill valley.

Food is sub par, service sub par, price above average. Waiter said yes to everything but then proceeded to do whatever he wanted. I ordered chai to which the waiter said I’ll bring it right out and then never brought it. We ordered the spinach salad without dressing to which the waiter said yes right away and then brought us a salad with dressing. We ordered our dishes extra hot/spicy and got extra mild dishes. We asked for water refills to which the waiter said yes right away. He then disappeared. When my husband decided to get up and get the hug of water himself from the side table not far from us another waiter insisted he would serve us the water and then made us wait another five minutes before bringing it to us. We ordered paratha and a tandoori roti — it was the exact same bread except that one had melted butter smeared on it. I could go on and on about the other things that went wrong on a Wednesday night with only a few tables occupied but I’m bored already and don’t plan on going there again anyway.

Went to this place twice while in Mill Valley… What a charming, magical place! The area is full of the little bungalow house businesses and this Indian food restaurant is located in one of them. So sweet and fairy tale like with lights and soft Jack Johnson type music. But Indian. So romantic… The food is to die for! Every single dish I had here was amazing. The Naan was the best I’ve ever had… it’s going to be hard to top this place, as far as Indian food goes, EVER.

Out of principle I’ll never eat here again. Ordered takeout thru Unilocal, and go by tonight(actually Sunday night now) to pick up. We ordered for 3 – 4 people, and I politely ask for extra mint chutney but to please leave out the tamarind chutney. This is pretty standard for an Indian restaurant, and generally restaurants tend to be pretty stingy. I assure you one tiny little to-go container would not suffice for 4 people to share out of. I’m standing at the bar, waiting for my to-go order, as mentioned. The server behind the bar says, «oh, you want a chutney?» Looking at me, then seemingly his boss and owner of the restaurant, who says, INHINDI, just give her one and a small one only. I look toward him, and ask if I may please have a larger one considering how much we’ve ordered. I turn toward the owner and I reply to him, that was actually pretty rude. I’m a patron giving you my hard earned money. I really don’t appreciate you saying that. Oh, yea, I speak Hindi, besides. He doesn’t even acknowledge his audacity, just simply tries to shush me away. I told him again, that’s not how you treat your patrons, to which he says, have a nice day ok bye. Ok bye. Ok bye see you. Do yourselves a favor, go to Naan and Curry in San Rafael, or Pakwan in SF. Cheaper, better food, and at least you’ll not be treated with such ambivalence. Clearly, the owner does not give a care for my business. And, the food sucks. Oily, greasy, overpowered by stale spices and waaaaay overpriced.

I’ve driven by this location for years. I finally had the time and the inviting patio called me over. The day was mild, and the fountain was flowing. I had a nice time on the patio, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. But, I tell you the food is so-so. I’m kind of amazed as I’ve never had so-so Indian food. It’s always been great. My main chicken dish was swimming in oil. It was good but missed the mark. Basic Saag Paneer was just OK and the naan was just ok. I probably won’t choose this location again unless friends want to go. All-in-all, it was a disappointment. I’m sad to give this location 2-stars but it really wasn’t the best. My Unilocal-friends have given this restaurant great reviews and I wonder, was it lunch that was poor or are they having an off day?

I ordered lunch here for a client meeting recently and had a great experience. I called the day before and let them know I needed to pick up lunch at about 11:30 which is actually before they open for the day. They were nice enough to open early for me and had all 11 lunch boxes ready to go when I arrived — and even carried them out to my car. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly and the food was tasty.

Excellent Food! The ambiance and location are really good. to me this is the best restaurant in Marin County. I accidentally discovered this place and I’m glad I did! I was on my way back home from SFO and wanted to have Indian food. The closest according to Unilocal was Prabh. Initially I was skeptical as it had very few reviews at that time, but, to my surprise the food was very tasty! The staff was courteous and very patient with my long order :) I wasn’t sure whether the food tasted so good because I was famished or if it was really good. I went back after a few weeks, and it was the same great taste! You could probably tell I’m a complete fan of this place. I’d suggest anyone reading my review to try the food here, you’ll definitely love it.

Really yummy Indian food right in Mill Valley! WE ordered a ton of food(because we missed lunch) and our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs! Everything we ordered was spot on! The veggie biryani was really flavorful with lots of fresh veggies! The kiddo loved her paneer butter masala(though it was a bit on the sweet side), the dal makhni was perfectly spiced and creamy, and the hubby’s chicken tikka masala was great(according to him). The naans were fluffy and fresh. It’s definitely on the expensive side(with the four dishes and naan it was well over $ 90), but since the food was so good, we didn’t feel like it was a waste of money. Not something we can do every week though! ;)

Oh dear… I really, really used to love the food here. On the last visit every dish tasted like someone had dumped a whole lot of cinnamon in it. Curries were all very sweet and tasted like cinnamon. I guess we should have said something Extra star for being nice

Food was good as usual but service this evening was quite poor. We watched while two tables seated before us received their meals while we were going on 30 minutes. When I pointed this out to our waiter, no real apology. Food eventually came but not all at once… I would prefer my Naan and Raita served with my entrée. Will give this place a rest for a while.

Deepak was amazing… Knowledge about food. Family serving was better than any Indian restaurant in Marin county… Lotus, Taj & Naan Curry are not even in the race. By far Prabh Indian Kitchen.

Went here a few weeks back with a friend for dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was very good. I asked for mild as I find all Indian restaurants are different and wasn’t sure how mild their food really was. It was just barely spicy. Perfect! My friend had a tandoori fish and she was very happy with it as well. The set up is great, nice and cozy and I love the lights outside. I can’t wait until the weather gets warm so I can sit under all the lights. The service was very quick and friendly. I think the only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because when I sat down the waiter asked if I would like still or sparkling water. I said I would like sparkling please. I had no idea that it was $ 3 for the bottle! When someone offers you spring or sparkling water I guess I never thought it would be that expensive.

Four stars for the food. Two stars for the service. Arrived on a Friday evening without a reservation. We were seated right away. The restaurant was moderately busy. After delivering out water, the waitstaff went MIA for about 10 minutes. Then we got our drink & food order in. Waitstaff disappears for another 10 minutes. Drinks arrive. Gone another 15+ minutes. Appetizers(veggie pakoras) arrive. Pakoras were in the good-to-great range. Then we wait. And wait. And wait some more. Another 30(!) minutes go by and they realize that we haven’t been served our mains yet. They comp us some papadums… which, y’know, I didn’t order because I don’t care for them. You want to be cool? Comp a round of drinks. That’s how you handle it. The mains FINALLY arrive. Everything is well above average and quite delicious. Not the greatest ever, and NOT worth the wait, but still damned good. My dining companion had the veggie jhalfarezi and I had the navratan korma. Both recommended. And then it took another 15 minutes to get the check. For those of you keeping score at home, that’s ATLEAST90 minutes for a dinner that should not have taken as long. The prices were good, though, and they seemed to be doing a brisk take-out business, so if I were to eat there again I’d probably opt to do take-out and avoid the waitstaff altogether, because the service is a deal breaker for a repeat visit.

Well let’s see I stumbled into this cute little Indian Resturant Prabh kitchen in mill valley. So far things look good. I ordered the chili chicken for $ 12.00 and we will see how good it taste. It smells flavorful and the Resturant looks very nice. Get this they gave me a free desert it was great! Great experience thank you
