Had to have our front tire swapped out on our lunch break after noticing a huge bulge. They had us in and out within 20 minutes. It was cold and raining, and they actually let me stay in the car while they did the swap, which is pretty funny experience. Reasonable rates. Prompt service. As good as it gets!

Best shop around! I only look for 3 things from auto shops, honesty, friendliness and skill and these guys have all 3, and its a family owned and run business. And they do a lot more than tires. Anytime I go somewhere else for a non tire related issue I end up finding out that they could have done it here, and they would have done it cheaper and better. Also, they have a comfortable waiting area with reliable wifi, which is a big plus.

Always friendly and honest. We have been going to Malugani for about 15 years. I trust their products and their service. Before I take a road trip, they are always willing to do a quick free check of the tires and brakes. You can find coupons on their website. Waiting room has wi-​fi and coffee. Also, I appreciate how supportive they are of the community, as I often see that they have sponsored local events.

Want to take the time to write a brief and honest review about Malugani Tire Center. I got a tire warning light in my car Friday night so decided to be proactive and check the air pressure, assuming that was the problem. Turns out, one of the tires had a nail in it. Was in the Mill Valley area and came across Malugani’s. Mike and staff were very helpful and told me that my tire would have a patch in less than thirty minutes (saved myself $ 200+ for a new Michellin tire). Reason why I feel in dire need to write this review is because they were extremely busy with other cars when I arrived, but prioritized my need.
All in all, friendly staff, inexpensive, and clearly thrive in exceeding customer satisfaction.

Amazing Place. They have helped me twice while I was in a jam. Once to patch my tire on a Saturday and another day to rotate and check my brakes after a bad trip home from Yosemite. They do great work and in a timely fashion. The prices are pretty reasonable for the area too. I recommend these guys fully.

Evacuated from the Valley fire with a screw in my tire causing a slow leak. Came here hoping for a quick plug and good service. This place is awesome! They fixed my tire FOR FREE!!! This small act of kindness brought me to tears! Nice little things are so comforting in times of a big emergency. Thank you so much! You have no idea how much y’all helped me and how much it means to me!

I wish I could say something good about my last experience but I can’t. I went here because it is family owned and local. I bought tires there 2.6 years ago with a 60,000 warranty or 5 years. Low and behold the tires didn’t wear good. Luckily Yokohama gave me 58% back on new tires only because I called them directly. I had paid previously 15 dollars for mounting and balancing on my new tires. But this time they charged me a whopping 30 per tire saying they didn’t make any money on the warranty and needed to make money somewhere. WHAT??? That is right 30 dollars per tire for mounting and balancing. Honda charges 28.00 Other tire places charge 15. I spoke with the boss who wasn’t really interested in how I felt. I think it is very foolish for them to want to make 60 dollars more on mounting my tires and then lose me as a client. I guess they don’t care. I will be happy to take my business elsewhere in the future.

I have been doing business with this group for 20 plus years. EXCELLENT! You can save a few bucks at Costco, but you cannot get the professionalism from Ken, Kendal, John, or Mike. They will always tell you can get a lower price at Costco, but Mulugani,‘s provides you the best product at the right price. The service and straight forward and honest advise is second to none. Where is Costco when you have a problem?

If all of life’s interactions went as smoothly as an interaction at Malugani Tire Center, there would be no war. See, I awoke to a flattened tire while in Bolinas (I either ran over a little screw or I looked at somebody’s girlfriend the wrong way and they flattened my tire in the dead of night).
After a real pathetic, lonely couple of hours changing my tire, in which I discovered my spare was flat as well, I eventually made it over the hill to Mill Valley (with a sketchy donut, going about 15 mph, staring down from atop the cliffs, picturing my inevitable demise the entire way). I had been fretting for the whole weekend that I was going to have to buy a new tire, miss my guitar lesson, and just generally deal with all the sucky things that come with auto repair and having a car in San Francisco.
But we hobbled into Malugani and were met with smiles. They patched my tire in about 45 minutes, while we ate pizza next door, and after it was all said and done, my whip rolled on good as new. And it only cost $ 35!
So even if I’m a being a bit dramatic, it was a good feeling being able to deal with people who fixed a problem easily, with a good attitude, and a good price. It’s how a business should be run. Three thumbs up, Malugani!

this is a family business that cares about your business like you’re family. we’ve been bringing our cars here for new tires, oil changes, tire rotations (free if you get your tires there), and flat fixes for years.
customer service example #1: I needed new tires for my car. crazy-​about-​cars husband researched the perfect tires, which malugani didn’t have in stock. which they then ordered, at a very competitive price. example #2: drives-​like-​maniac husband got a flat. brought it for a fix at the last minute of the workday, which they happily obliged. tire continued to leak :(malugani took complete ownership and fixed the flat without further ado or charge.

Three great experiences here. Long before we bought tires here, I pulled in with a screw in one tire just by chance. They removed it and confirmed we DIDN’T need a patch or a new tire, FOR FREE.
Recently needed new tires, Malugani was competitively priced, stuck to the estimate, and didn’t try to sell me other services. They were also nice, super fast and very neat. Kendall was very patient and good about explaining options.
They’ve just done my first free rotation (also nice, fast and neat) and showed me the brake pad depth saying I’d need new ones soon, but didn’t hard sell me on doing it immediately, and assured me they were safe to use for a month or two.

I thought long & hard before writing a one-​star review for a small local business, but given my experience, I decided to go forward with it, in hope that others will benefit from it.
I had my car towed here for a flat. They told me that the tire was unrepairable, told me I needed new rear tires (which I did), and quoted me $ 818 for sale and installation of 4 new tires. The tires for which they quoted me (Kumho – some of the cheapest tires available) run around $ 400 for 4 tires on Tire Rack. .. so $ 418 to install? I called Diamond Tire Center in SR, who quoted me less than $ 100 for installation of 4 new tires. .. so why the extra $ 300 charge at Malugani? I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it felt very much like I was being ripped off.
They also did not offer another alternative to buying a new tire – like putting on the spare. When that is what I requested, they were clearly put out that I would not be purchasing new tires right then and there, and charged me $ 25 for less than 3 minutes of work – and didn’t even put my car back in order afterward (the cover for the spare was thrown back into the back seat of my car). I am so disappointed with this entire experience, that needless to say, none of my family will ever consider doing business with them again.

I called Malugani — they have been in business for 68 years — big points —
spoke to Kendall– the consummate professional — smart and gracious — we discussed pricing, etc. I was sold.
I’ve never been in a Tire Center that was decorated with anything but aging Tire posters. The prices were competitive — service was 5 stars, Michael was great — gave us a coupon. And I will be a customer for life.

Best tire shop in the bay area. Polite fast service, good prices and quality work. If you bring a nice car here you can expect great attention to detail.

Found a sheet metal screw in one of my tires. Checked Unilocal for a local place to have it removed and plugged. Found this place. The lady inside was super nice. Surprisingly, she came out of the office, took a look went and got some pliers and pulled it out. She checked to be sure it wasn’t leaking and then had a guy check the pressure in all my tires.
Great service, great attitude, great way to run a business and no charge for the service.

I visited Malugani for the first time today because one of my tires has had a slow leak for months and I finally got fed up with having to check the pressure and refill it all of the time. I drive a lot for work so I need to know my car is safe on the days I’m putting in 4 – 5 hours round trip.
They couldn’t take me right away but made an appointment for me to come back an hour later. I was told the repair would take between 30 and 60 minutes.
When I arrived they took my car in almost immediately. I appreciated the promptness.
They found a screw in a different tire from the one I had come in to get fixed and I resigned myself to having to pay to get both tires fixed. Although they could easily have tricked me in to spending on the second tire, they assured me that the screw hadn’t punctured anything and the tire didn’t need fixing!
Then I was informed that the repair was not a typical slow leak but a problem with where the tire meets the wheel meaning the tire would have to be completely removed, sanded and replaced. Again, I was resigned that this would cost much more and take much longer than I was quoted.
To my surprise, they had the repair done within 45 minutes and charged me the original quoted price even though the repair was more extensive than the norm!
I am a fan!

Fast, friendly, and I love that they didn’t try to sell me on unnecessary work/​parts. I had a flat tire. I went in prepared to buy two tires, as I knew they were old and needed to be replaced. The nice man who helped me tried to see if he could patch the flat tire first. They clearly try to do what is best for you as a customer, even if it’s not what makes them the most money.
I ended up getting two tires for a decent price, which was exactly what I wanted. They sent me a text when my car was ready, which was super convenient. My car was ready really quickly. I also love that they will do free tire rotations in the future since I bought tires there. They even gave me one of those handy stickers for inside the window so that I don’t forget when to rotate (I ALWAYS forget!).
Overall I was really impressed. I like that they are family owned. I also like Grilly’s Mexican food right next door :) I’ll be back for the future work that my car will inevitably require.

Excellent service, beyond tires, and beyond expectation. I was impressed by their expertise and knowledge several times, which prompted me to go to them for a seemingly simple fix: fuse blown in car charger. I’d taken it to another local 2x, and it kept blowing. They were kind, smart, efficient and did it on the house. In my experience, they are earnest folks whose expertise warrants loyalty.

Another 5 star experience– brought my wives car in and thought it needed 4 new tires because of AWD and all tires need to go on as new. Nope they voluntarily told me I only needed 2 tires when they could have easily sold me 4 and made more $$$. More than an honest shop– good community focused people that know what it takes to keep local residents coming back.
