Not sure who Jeff P is but my experience with Klotz and its owner Rolf is the complete opposite. The service has been consistently great and on time. We had a 100 year table clock repaired. The clock works better than anytime in the last 20 years. The cost was very competitive. Rolf also has worked on a family watch that we value greatly. Again, great work. We are very luck to have Klotz in Mill Valley. I will continue to work with Klotz!

TERRIBLESERVICEANDREPEATEDMISSEDPROMISESANDCOMMITMENTS. WHEREISMYWATCHAFTERNEARLYTWOYEARS? ITISINPIECES!!! CUSTOMERSBEWARE!!! We took a watch in almost two years ago for repair and were promised it would be no more than a couple of weeks – that was over a year ago. After several visits to the San Francisco location and conversation with the owners son, we were still promised it would be repaired. Then we were told they could not find the watch. Then told it was found and it would be repaired. Several visits and phone calls, promises, promises, promises!!! EMPTYPROMISES!!! What a shock when I tried to call them and their number was disconnected. I had to search on-line to find that they moved out of San Francisco and into Mill Valley – no notification to customers that trusted them with their property!!! I left several voicemail messages and did not get a returned call. Finally, after several calls I reached the owner who said he was not able to fix the watch because he could not find the part. REALLY?! After over a year? No calls. No status. Losing the watch. TERRIBLESERVICE!!! He promises to mail the watch in the next couple of days… That was 3 weeks ago! No watch. I call and leave another voicemail and an email and call again and reach the owner – he said he had been busy and didn’t mail it but will mail it early next week. Another call and I’m told he found the parts and will repair it. Is this déjà vu? Was it repaired, were you going to mail it? Another call and he says it will be repaired in a couple of weeks and he will meet me in San Francisco to deliver it. Once again, no call to schedule the meeting and deliver the watch. Weeks and weeks go by— I decide to stop by on my way through Marin to San Francisco and finally pick up my watch. Imaging the shop owners surprise, «why didn’t you call?» Really, that is what you say after 2 years of missed commitments and terrible service. I have to admit, my expectations were low but I really was surprised that it took him at least 20 minutes going through files cabinets to find my watch and then it was in pieces. What does the owner say, «I am still looking for the parts to repair the watch.» No apology. Not once did he show any courtesy. More than disappointing. Appalling is an understatement. Mr. Klotz is professional, fast and delivers high quality work. I went there to replace some watch batteries and fix another — he pointed out(and showed me) that the person who last replaced the battery on one of watches did it wrong. Mr. Klotz fixed that mistake. Highly recommend him for any watch issues you may have. We even talked about his training at the omega factory in Switzerland — he knows what he is doing.
