Danielle Aguilar

Danielle is AMAZING!!! I’ve been going to her for color and cuts for years. She always checks in to see if we are keepin things the same or making changes. When it is time for a change she actually takes the time to listen and thankfully gives suggestions that lead you in the right direction to make it work. She is phenomenal with color.
I am so excited that she is moving to her new location (928 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Kentfield) in May!!! Can’t wait to visit her there :)

OK so I won’t go into the insane Halloween supposedly «temporary» hair dye story that, through many twists and contortions and bad hair «professionals» over about 7 years, eventually had me seeking out Danielle. Let it suffice to say that I had a color issue that I wanted fixed. I also had hair so long I needed to flip it out of my way before I could sit down.
So far I have had two sessions with Danielle. The first one I sought after reading many excellent reviews of her skills online. I came to her telling her I didn’t want to be the Crystal Gayle character anymore but that I still wanted some long hair. Danielle is very respectful of us long-​hairs. She styles without sabotaging a person. She made me look better than I have looked in a decade, and she left me as long as I asked her to.
Second time I came to her I told her I wanted a little more shape around the face without sacrificing too much length. I also told her I wanted my crazy still-​there Halloween color to match better with what was growing out naturally. Would you turn and run away? I would. Danielle didn’t. She patiently consulted with me until she understood what I wanted.
Danielle did a very subtle weave on me that blended the natural color of my roots with the other color of the rest of the hair, such that I can even let the hair grow out further and not have it look obvious for a long time. It looks fantastic. And she shaped my hair around my face and still left me long.
This is the thing about Danielle:
She listens to what you want to have done. The parts that you don’t know about, she’s expert enough to fill in. She is an artist and a genius with hair. You can be an idiot when it comes to style and she’ll work with you. And she’ll make you look fabulous. She’ll give you what you ask for, and better than that, she’ll give you what you want.
My sister, before she retired early, was the best hairdresser I’ve ever known. I spent a decade not having a regular hairdresser because nobody was as good as my sister. I found Danielle, and now I go to her.
My sister approves. And so do I – hugely. Go to Danielle – she’s the best.
