Katheryn O’shaunessy

Classy meets sassy. That describes Katheryn to a «T». It also describes my haircut. I have never been as happy with a cut, ever. I brought in a picture of a style that I really liked but as my hair is fine I imagined it might be a no go. She could see that with a little customization she could pull off, a really good look that would suite me perfectly. My hair has a nice full look. Love it. She clearly has tons of experience dealing with all sorts of hair textures. What she pulled off with my cut is a good example. What’s really is nice too is that she purposely maintains a very boutique atmosphere. There are no other stylists, no other people, none of the multiple conversations going on at once like there are in lots of other salons. You get one on one attention in peaceful surroundings.

Katheryn has been cutting my hair for the last three years. I am extremely particiular about my hair. I have been going to the city for all my hair services because of the way that the hair stylists are trained there. Katheryn is Vidal Sasson trained and she comes from the city. It makes a big difference when a stylist is trained in that method. Your haircuts will last you way longer than what stylist here say you have to come back in six weeks. You have to be kidding me. I don’t have time to be getting my haircut that often. Really what that means is your hair will not be looking good in 4 weeks.
When my hair grows out I can get two plus styles that it grows into. Its all about the cut. Its like the foundation of the house. If its not good than your house will fall down. This applies to hair as well.
I just saw Katheryn and it was a record breaker time. 5 months which was ridiculous. It was not my intention to go that long. My hair was not really working for me this last month but others still thought it looked good.
Can I say anymore. Katheryn is the Bomb!!!

Katheryn is a lovely, confident hairstylist! She knows how to style hair to fit your face and hair type! Her salon is very bright with natural afternoon light and it has a view of Mt. Tam. It’s a very serene, peaceful place, almost meditative, a far cry from many hectic salons in the Bay Area!
