Staff here is amazing! Always smiling and greets you nicely. Teriyaki here is just as amazing. I always get the chicken katsu or chicken & beef combo. Great for pick up! The inside is pretty small so not all that good for dining in.

Tastes OK. Baseline teriyaki, nothing special, no substitutions, barely anything else on the menu.

This«flagship» store only has three tiny tables, and your meal is served in Styrofoam. But I don’t even care because it’s the best damn teriyaki I’ve ever eaten. It’s served with the best rice I’ve ever eaten, and I’m not even exaggerating! I seriously don’t know what they do to the rice there. The first few times I ate at Toshi’s, I had the beef/chicken combo, but now I’m settled permanently on the chicken. Not to knock the beef, but the chicken is simply craveable and tender. The meals come with meat, rice, sauce and coleslaw. The owner is incredibly friendly. I assume her husband is the chef(maybe Toshi himself?), but I have yet to hear or see him. I just hear sizzling sounds from the kitchen when I go in. I love how everything is made to order and that it doesn’t take that long. It’s a very simple and effective business model. Make delicious food with a simple menu, and you can’t go wrong!

Toshi Kasahara’s flagship store and a hidden gem in Mill Creek. Excellent teriyaki and katsu. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Simple but solid menu, very inexpensive, great service. I was so excited to happen upon this place, and now I’m a regular customer.

The chicken Katsu is amazing here. The rest of the food is good. The staff is very friendly. The dining room is very small

Man, I am a HUGE teriyaki fan and when I see a Toshi’s I am all over it. Unfortunately this time around, the name did not live up to the reputation. I ordered regular chicken teriyaki and rice and received what looked like a half order of over cooked chicken and over cooked white rice and it tasted just like that. The teriyaki sauce is watered down and you get a small side of coleslaw. For the money, this place is a JOKE!

It wasn’t what I expected in general. I definitely appreciated how nice the people were, but I felt the food was very bland. I had the steak.

The best teriyaki I have ever had. There are a lot of teriyaki places in the Seattle area but this is the best. The owners are so nice and even if I haven’t come in for a while they always remember me. Not to mention their food is delicious and always made when you order it.

Hands down the best teriyaki I’ve ever had. I had a lot of teriyaki in my day and I can confidently say it’s my favorite. I came here for the first time yesterday and I was immediately greeted by the sweetest lady. She welcomed me in and somehow knew it was my first time there. There’s such a difference in the quality of the food. I ordered the chicken & beef combo. The beef was tender and not the skinny thin shredded type of beef either. Chicken wasn’t dry like other places too. My wife got the katsu chicken and it was also amazing. Would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Very dependable teriyaki food. Decent quality. Clean with a very friendly staff. If you’re in the mood for teriyaki food this is not a bad choice.

I’ve never enjoyed a chicken katsu until i came here, or beef teriyaki for that matter. I had gotten so used to dry, flat pieces of god-knows-what, but to my delight this was really not the case with this toshi’s. What I found was pure comfort food, and by far the best katsu I’ve had yet. Overall this place has great service, great teriyaki, great prices and portions(certainly when compared to other places surrounding), and from what I’ve seen so far, great consistency. This is my new go-to place for teriyaki!

Wow! The steak was the BEST steak teriyaki I have had in a while. Tender and tasty. Cooked just right. Teriyaki done right. Fast. Good food. Easy on the wallet. For sure, this is our new teriyaki spot. Worth the extra drive. We pass by 3 other teriyaki spots on the way… That says something!

Two words: chicken katsu. I tried the combo and the chicken and beef teriyaki just doesn’t compare to the crispy goodness that is their fried chicken cutlet. The meat is good, too. You’ll see white and dark meat, which tells me it’s from a real chicken. And it’s very juicy. The owner is super nice. Smiley, friendly, and appreciative of your patronage. The space, while small, is clean and comfy. They have a vast array of magazines should you want entertainment while eating or waiting. Oh and they have a punch card! Buy 9(min. $ 6 purchase) and get 10th item free! I’m quickly filling mine up…

It’s ok, by far not my favorite place but decent and in a location that is easy to get to. The staff is always super friendly so that’s a plus

Low prices + large quantities + satisfying taste + friendly customer service = 4 stars! They have a limited number of items on the menu and the items themselves are pretty standard for a teriyaki place, but that’s just what I wanted. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and Bryson got the steak plate. I loved the sauce that came with the chicken and gobbled the whole plate up in 15 minutes! I was pretty hungry… We will definitely be here again, especially when we crave«plate lunch» style foods that we miss from back home(HI).

Ever since my last post, I must have been here about 5 times now and each time is amazing and easy on the pocket when you are in a crunch for money. Lets just say for under $ 20 you can purchase 2 large teriyaki meals. On my last visit I ended up getting chicken teriyaki for the first time instead of my usual Katsu teriyaki. The chicken teriyaki was just as good and very flavorful and not dry with the chicken peices. I don’t know what he does with the meat to have them stay nice and juicy because some places cook the meat so long that it gets really dry and has no taste. Plus I live about 10 minutes away from this place and by the time I get home after picking up a call in order our food is still warm and the meat hasn’t gone chewy and dry. This is our«go to» teriyaki place from here on out… well it has been since last few visits whenever we are craving grilled teriyaki. Happy Eats Everyone!

I really don’t want to write a review, kind of like telling my best kept secret, if I tell everyone then Toshi’s will be too busy when I want to come in! This place is amazing, the lady who works the register is nothing short of kind and sweet. Couple the service with the most amazing teriyaki you_will_ever_eat and what else can you ask for? Seriously if you like teriyaki, you will never want to go any where else. Very limited menu, there is a reason though trust me. The price? Well I feel like I am stealing every time I leave with my order out. Each order also comes with coleslaw which is the best you will ever eat(serious). I mix the slaw with my meat, it sounds weird but it is really good. Menu is: Chicken Spicy Chicken Beef Combo Beef and Chicken(not mixed, just set side by side) Like others, I have tried the other Toshi’s across from Chase Bank in the strip mall with Jet Bar BUT it is nothing close to the Toshi’s I speak of. FYI he is the original Toshi, the one who created all the Toshi’s in Seattle years ago. He franchised in the late 80’s which brought on all the other Toshi’s we see. The franchised Toshi’s changed the recipe on most items and is why it does not taste the same. Please note, space is limited inside, we usually order to go. They can whip up our order in less than 10 minutes. Now I am hungry wonder where I am gonna go? Enjoy life it’s the only one you get.
