Recently moved to the area and have been craving Vietnamese food. I ordered the vegetable Phở with added beef(first time ever ordering phở) and it tasted great! However, I pulled two very long hairs out of the soup which was very unappetizing. I also ordered rice and grilled chicken for my kids– where I pulled out atleast 3 grilled pieces of hair off of the chicken. It may have been one long hair that got cut up along with the chicken after it was grilled, but nonetheless, about 5 too many hairs for me. I mentioned very discreetly to the server about the hairs and suggested that they might wear hair caps(as I noticed the cook had a very long pony tail with no cap) but she didn’t seem very receptive. Major bummer — as the flavors were awesome — the hair was not.

Tried this place for the first time as it’s close to my home. Interior was too cold for me to ever want to stay and eat inside. Had to-go order for two vegetarian Phở soups. Good but each only had maybe 3 slices of carrot in it and maybe 5 straw mushrooms. Way too many bean sprouts and noodles… cheap fillers. I always doctor these up at home. I found it odd that a vegetarian choice included either vegetable or chicken broth. I’m not, but I didn’t think vegetarians ate chicken. Yes, I will return in the future.

This is a Monday night. Wife and I were looking for a phở restaurant close by. After reading the raving 4-star Unilocal reviews(100+ reviews), we decided to give this place a try(instead of our usual phở restaurant that is 10-miles away) Pretty slow service. After we sat down, we waited about 5-minutes before we were given the menu. After we ordered, it took another 15 minutes before out first appetizer(deep fried shrimp roll) dish showed up. It took another 15-minutes before out noodle soup showed up. There were only 13-people(including my wife and I). With that said, the soup taste really good. Both deep fried shrimp roll and the noodle soup are very tasty. If you are not terrible hungry, definitely give this place a go. Price is higher than comparable noodle soup though. I think I am going back to my regular noodle shop instead of this one.

Very little meat or basil in the phở. Not much food for the cost, nothing remarkable about the flavor and waited twenty minutes for a to go order in an empty restaurant.

I picked up a to-go order here and even though I called way in advance, it was not ready when I arrived. It was as though they did not start making it until I arrived. What is the point of calling ahead then? The interior is small and there is a TV with sports on. The location is convenient and parking is easy. As for the phở itself, it was decent. The spring rolls were large and they did not skimp on anything. I am convinced you get more phở when you order to-go(not the reason I got it to-go). The portion was large and the meat was good quality. The overall taste was bold and I would like to eat-in sometime to see if there is any difference.

My wife and I went to Phở Mama’s to eat dinner today, we ordered three things: the spring rolls(and associated sauce), fried rice, and pad thai. All three of them were lacking in flavor and flat out didn’t taste good. The service was friendly(that’s why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 2), but we simply didn’t like the food. Maybe other dishes are better, but we were not satisfied with the taste of our food at all.

I have gone to this place a couple times and have never had a good experience. One time I found a curly black hair in my phở. When our server Finally came around(my boyfriend and I were the only ones in there), I asked politely for another bowl. He was grumpy and unapologetic as he took it back to the kitchen. Then all of a sudden I heard yelling behind the counter. When he brought another bowl I saw a big bunch of bubbles in the middle of my soup; that coincidentally looked like spit… Another time we got take out and they forgot our sandwhich. When we called and asked if they could just refund it they said«no». Plus they were rude about it. Their food is not worth the struggle.

I’m so happy this place is close to my home. I’m a low carber, but I still love phở. So the broth is really important, as you can imagine since I don’t get the noodles. And this place is spot on with the broth.

Oh wow, so much better this year I am really impressed. The phở is spot on and delicious, and the place was packed. Had to wait for a seat!

Wonderful little hole in the wall. The bun(spicy beef noodle) was very good. The ham seemed bought and not homemade but other than that it was excellent. The chicken bahn mi was SOGOOD! Best I have had yet, and I am a bahn mi addict. Dont let the strip mall store front fool you, this place is home cooking Vietnam style.

Because I’m Vietnamese and we make phở at home all the time, I absolutely hate restaurant phở because they have so much MSG in it. However, this place is my #1 favorite phở restaurant(so far) and I’ve been to a lot of places. I love their broth because it’s on the sweeter side, instead of really salty like the other places, and it’s similar to how my mom makes it. The owner is very sweet as well!

Ordered chicken banh mi and a chicken/eggroll noodle bowl. The spouse ordered a Phở Tai. Noodle bowl was great, good portions of each item. Broth of the phở had great flavor and the spouse said the rest of it was good as well. The banh mi was fine, but lacking the usual kick of jalapeño. I think I got 1 bite of it, but couldn’t find any after that. Also got a Vietnamese iced coffee, which was good. Overall, everything was fine. Would probably go back again, as it’s relatively close by.

Ok, I’m not a phở-natic(see what I did there) or anything, but this place is good. We go here at least once a week. We have only tried the phở here, and it never disappoints. We always get it to go, because we live pretty close– but if you’re a fan of football and phở they’re pretty good about putting the game on(not that this place would be my first choice to watch a game but it’s a nice plus). The service is good and they always have our order ready to go in the time frame they said they would and that ALONE makes me want to give them four stars.

Overall good place. Phở Ga and Iced coffee was good. Was welcomed right as I walked in. Food was ready very quickly. Very clean. Nobody checked if food was ok until I went up to the counter to pay, so I was reluctant to leave any tip. Prices are on par with all other Phở restaurants. Parking is horrible!

I found the phở bland, the eggrolls okay, and the service questionable. The waiter kept putting all the utensils, plates, and herbs at the very right of the table instead of just handing it to both sides, what’s up with that? We were surprised that he actually gave us our phở bowls instead of making us hand it to each other. We also specifically asked for two bowls so two toddlers could share a fried rice together and he hands us one small bowl and two giant serving spoons… The phở isn’t worth a second trip, sorry.

We loved this place. Ordered chicken phở, their special ‘Phở Mama’s’ and shrimp rolls. All were really good. The place is clean, prices are reasonable, service is great and unlike other phở places, they were generous with meat. Will definitely repeat.

I really really really like Phở Mamas. The food here really does remind me of my great grandmother’s cooking. The phở is good, the Che Ba Mau is great and the fried rice is excellent. The prices are very affordable and the portions are abundant. It is really hard to find good Vietnamese food up North so this is quite a gem. The restaurant itself is very clean and open. Service is a little awkward and slow but there is literally only one person busing and waiting tables so they are doing the best they can. Just remember when you order for pick up give it at least half an hour or so it is extremely slow. Love it. Will definitely be back!

Excited to try something new. They were out of the 3 bean drink as well as the #24. :(really? I really wanted to like this place. The spare rib rice plate had raw ribs. My bun bo hue was packed with sugar or sweetener of some sort. It was difficult to get extra silverware and napkins. Sad to say but not coming back here. Customer service isn’t all that as well. Typical Asian restaurant.

Ordered a phở mama, spring rolls, and phat thai ga. Half an hour later the phở came out. Had to call the waiter over for a water refill after being out for 15 minutes. 45 minutes later still waiting for their so called special(S1 on the menu). And where are the freaking spring roll APPETIZERS? The food here is delicious but since the service sucks so bad the food is being disenfranchised :( Correction: Finally got the phat thai and it was only ½ star when I ordered 4 star. It tasted like it was fresh… out of the microwave. I’ve eaten sloppy Joes that were way better than this slop. Never did get the spring rolls. The phở my wife ordered, came with tendon and she specifically asked to hold the tendon. I don’t know if the miscommunication between us and the server or the kitchen. The server repeated our order when he took it. I think that the whole operation just turned into a cluster F. They used to be so good, I can’t believe they are the absolute worst in the world now. If I could give negative starts, I would.
