Today I am reviewing Mililani Rec. Center 3. Why? Because I already did Rec.7, I might as well do them all. Rec. Center 3 is starting to show its age but it is still very much a great addition to the choices you have for some fun in the sun when you can’t afford to go to the beach because your workplace doesn’t really know how numbers work sometimes and cuts you a really small check and then you have to call corporate and then they say they’ll put it in the next one instead putting you on a tighter budget than usual so you can’t drive to fun places hahahahaha ha hahaha.…anyway.. . Rec. 3 has a dance hall, tennis court, Hot tub, Pool and ping pong tables so we’re going to go categorically again. Rec Center: The main building itself hasn’t changed much since I was a kid riding my bike up here on the weekends, there’s even a very old map from before Mauka was built that is really cool to look at. The bathrooms are pretty standard for a public Rec. Center and the snack machines are always stocked, you can also get an MTA card printed at this location. Dance Hall: Only been in here twice but it’s fairly large, you could throw a pretty nice graduation party in here for sure, it even has a stage but I’m not 100% sure if it’s air conditioned or not. Tennis Courts: Immaculate, they’ve just been re-done by the looks of things, we always see people here playing. Ping Pong: You set the tables up in the main room, the one with the map I was talking about. When both tables are down it can be a bit cramped, especially if the ball gets away from you but overall it works. Hot Tub: A standard hot tub, the kind of one people get just to plonk down in their yards, you can adjust the temperature and the jets and everything . Pool: This pool is one of the smaller pools in Mililani with a maximum depth of 6ft, it’s also one of those ones that is shallow on both sides but deep in the middle. I also HIGHLY advise you to wear goggles at Rec. 3 in particular, they have some sort of super chlorine in there. In short, despite its age, Rec. 3 is still good enough to seriously consider when you’re looking for something to do.

I love this location. Mililani Recreation Center 3 is the main recreation center, where the administrative office is located. If you wanted to walk in your payment for Mililani Town Association(MTA) quarterly dues, this is the location. In addition, if you wanted to purchase or renew your membership card, you would come here. The last time I checked, I believe that it was $ 12 per year as a homeowner. You may also purchase a two year membership card for $ 21. You save a few bucks that way. The staff here are always so friendly, too. I’d prefer coming here to renew my membership than other locations. As a member, MTA offers many recreational activities and/or classes to choose from including Judo, Karate, Kenpo Karate, Yoga, Tai Chi, Aquatics, Tennis, Basketball, Hula, and dance classes. They also offer exercise classes, such as Zumba! For those that wanna shake their booty! Lol. If you really want to sweat and work your bum, then sign up for their bootcamp. Now that’s good stuff, right there. I think I want to sign up for that one, myself. Hehe. They also have a great Seniors Program and a Tiny Tots Program for children from 18 months to 4 years of age. Any who… once a member, if your’e interested in signing up for any of the membership services they provide at this and other locations, this is the location you would need to sign up for them. This location has a lap pool, tennis courts, and a rental facility that can house a small party. If I’m not mistaken, I think it’s around 100 – 150 max. This is a cool place to house a weekend lunchtime birthday party for a child. You’re able to rent the facility and the kids can go swimming in the pool while they are there. Cool stuff. We’ve attended a few birthday parties here and it was pretty cool for the kids. We’ve also attended a graduation party here. I’d say if you’re planning on inviting no more than a hundred guests, this is a great location. My husband and I used to come here frequently to play tennis with friends… when we had more time on our hands(pre-child). We also used to come to this location to swim in the pool on weekday evenings as well as on weekends. It’s not as busy as the other locations.
