McDonald’s

Hey it’s a McDonald’s, one of three that we have in Mililani (I’m counting the one in Walmart). Overall I prefer this McDonald’s as it beats the others in location, clean restrooms, and it’s the biggest out of the other two locations.
As a McDonald’s it’s either you love it or you hate it. I prefer to view fast food as a nice treat but it’s a treat I need to work off at the gym, lol. But I hardly (rarely) get my order wrong at this location and the staff is really friendly. In addition, there is free wifi and plenty of seats to sit at. It’s a perfect location to study if the Starbucks is all filled.
Just a warning to avoid the lunch rush, the drive-​thru can get pretty backed up and you might have to go inside or go else where. Overall I recommend people come to this location, it’s food is as advertised and you get a nice homey and wifi environment to boot.

McDonalds is my weakness, but a real treat for my husband and I as we try not to eat fast-​food very often. This evening we opted for something quick and chose our local McD’s drive-​thru where we were, unfortunately, left very disappointed. We live only minutes away from this particular location, so the food was still hot by the time I arrived home, however, upon opening up our bags, we realized we were given the wrong burger (a plain quarter-​pounder, instead of a DOUBLE quarter-​pounder w/​only ketchup that was clearly on our receipt). As soon as my husband noticed his sandwich was incorrect, he immediately left to drive back up there to have the right one made. He was the only one in line and it took about a solid minute for any crew members to even notice him waiting, and then it was a manager who turned around. He explained how he he was given the wrong burger and she seemed skeptical, suggesting deceitful tactics on our behalf. In the end she gave him the burger I actually ordered. All of our food was now cold by the time he got back home (cold fries=yuck!) and yet the only actual favor he asked of her was to have a replacement sundae (like $ 1.60) since his was soup by this point and she refused… WOW. Will not be returning to this location!

I’m not sure how I’ve never reviewed this location before considering this is our backup McDonalds for when Mauka is closed and was even our primary McDonalds for a while while I was mad at Mauka McDonalds.
Anyway, this McDonalds is pretty decent, it has major drive through problems though because they decided to make one of those double sided ones that compresses into one lane and I really think it just makes things worse, they should have done a forward and rear order box design like Waikele Shopping Center’s location. Sometimes the line is so bad you can’t even get into the lot, a combination of rush hour and the speed of the staff which is lacking sometimes.
However, this location still manages to hold onto its «average» 3 star rating because they are very lax when it comes to the dining room occupancy. If you want to play board games for 7 hours you come to this location just keep up a steady supply of dollar menu items and don’t be loud or obnoxious and the people here will be chill. Once you start causing trouble though they will not hesitate to turf you out, weather or not you’ve bought something from them.. .which is a good thing.
This location also seems to see far less vandalism than the other 2 for some reason, dunno, kind of weird.
The food here is average.
The staff is average but chill.
The location is average.
The drive through makes Satan smile with glee.
Due to these things, this McDonalds gets my average.. .3 star review.

Its a Mcdonalds, a CORPORATE chain of fast restaurant, dont expect anything of a dine in michelin star restaurant, but the thing that separates McDonalds in hawaii is the quality of the service and the efficiency at which its executed. I’ve been to other mcdonalds all over the US and sometimes the customer service and the people are just rude. But hawaii definitely has a welcoming vibe that the employees convey here. Thats why im writing a review for a McDonalds.
You have your typical McDonalds menu item, then you have some only in hawaii dishes you can order my two favorites are the haupia pie (coconut cream pie) & the breakfast deluxe (spam, eggs, sausage over rice) i was impressed at how big the portion of the deluxe was for the price. ($ 5.99)
Tip — it wouldnt hurt to order inside instead of the drive threw, sometimes a long line of cars will be all the way to the parking lot exit.

Came to mcdonalds just a little while ago, Ordered at 10:47. 2 Mcflurry’s and a Unsweetend Iced Tea. Waited 10 minutes for someone to actually come thru the window to say something, then 5 more mins to get our stuff, but it ended up being the wrong order. Waited 3 more mins then got our stuff. The guy that came to save the night i dont know what his name was, Filipino young man, but he was hustling, i give him credit for rushing to get my stuff going. On the other hand, the Manager which her name was Ana Lisa as what i was told, Was talking on the phone in filipino, Laughing. I have a Video of the manager not doing anything at all, standing around at first, then making a phone call. Talking in filipino during work? Im sure thats not a business call? Very unprofessional. Manager literally left the whole line backed up, and literally did nothing. She should be Re-​Trained.

Worst $ 4.18 of my life. Everytime we come through drive through there’s something wrong. Ice cream machine is broken, ran out of something, etc. Today they only accepted cash because all their credit card machines were down.
The cravings were in intense to start my day with a egg and cheese McGridle. And after scrounging my car for the cash (I always use my debit card and not have any cash on me) I paid and asked both windows to confirm my order.
After driving back home with my cranky toddler, I open my sandwich to see an english muffin with some weird meet that resembled bolognese in hopes to pass for ham that seemed to have the cheese scraped off. Wtf. I don’t like to be negative, but not being a morning person to start with, this ruined the start of my week.
I have always just let it go with this place. They’ve given us the wrong order before, multiple times. This is just the straw that broke the camel’s back. No wonder it has such a bad rating.

Went to the drive thru since I just wanted a strawberry lemonade… Service was fast but when I got to the cashier I gave her my money but no Thank You… I guess it’s because she was taking another order at the same time! She doesn’t seem ready to work the drive thru since she looked a little stressed!

Still 1 inefficient register open in the dine in. Maybe it’s just better to go and order via the drive thru here instead of waiting in line inside. Looks like less people work here or they don’t show up for work. Really has gone downhill in customer service.

Just because you work at McDonalds does not mean you can just automatically give crappy to no customer service.
First– Since when can’t you substitute biscuit for rice in the big breakfast meal?! I’ve been doing that ever since I could remember.
Second– Since when does it take 10 minutes for FAST food here?
Third– Where is the customer service? Guy at the window did not greet us nor did he thank us for waiting forever. While we said THANK YOU for our food he still did not acknowledge is at all. Rude.

Their customer service skills suck, they don’t know simple math and irritating. First at the payment window, the a worker (there was two, on cashier and another one) the one on the side of her repeatedly had to ask me if the happy meals i bought were for kids. Was there a reason why? Thats the first time i ever heard someone repeatedly ask me about happy meals. Secondly she didnt know simple math (the cashier) her excuse. «I push the button already. How hard is it to give me back the large bill, in exchange for exact total. Must be pretty hard and to complicated.

Sitting in drive thru line 5 minutes now gonna leave now it hasn’t moved one car this entire time fail

Very disappointed at this mcdonalds. I guess they don’t check the food before it leaves the kitchen. I normally check to see if I have everything. Today I checked and when I came home and opened up my box to eat my sandwich I found that I had no bottom bun. Wth… how am I supposed to eat it. My hands are all greasy and stuff. Very bad. We called manager said to come back. Wth… I’m already home, ain’t gonna drive all the way back. They have been slacking lately. This morning my dad went to buy breakfast and they didn’t give him his utensils. How was he supposed to eat his food? With his hands? Give me a break.

Haven’t done a post in a while and I feel a little discouraged since it is for a McDonald’s drive-​thru but this experience was all I could take.
I agree with majority of the others here, this McDonald’s doesn’t even deserve one star! I thought that with a new facelift and all the money they put into renovations that their staff would be well trained and customer service would be flawless — NOT EVEN CLOSE.
First of all, I rarely eat at fast food restaurants being that I am a vegetarian and for some reason the vast majority of all fast food places (including McDonald’s) does not cater to non-​meat eaters. But my father wanted a mcchicken and a mcdouble and some fries so I went along hoping I would be able to order a simple vegetable sandwich — just the buns, some mayo, lettuce, onion, tomato and pickles. For some absurd reason, the manager Analisa said that they would not be able to make such a simple request. She informed me that I would have to order a sandwich that has all the vegetable fixings and just request that it be made with no meat. That is fucking ridiculous! I have to order some sort of chicken wrap deluxe for 5.79 and all I want is vegetables!!!
Not only was I blown away by the fact that they couldn’t make the simple vegetable sandwich, but also because they had left the situation completely unresolved and simply stated that it was «company policy». So in the end my stomach went empty that night and my father barely enjoyed his meal saying that although the sandwiches were alright, the large container we ordered of french fries wasn’t even filled! AND they were cold, soggy & too salty.
Such an upsetting experience. If I ever eat fast food again, I will just go to Burger King where they make it how you want it and their priority is what the customer wants.

This McDonald’s is not even worthy of one star! The cashiers barely speak & understand English. I have yet to get an order that is right. This morning my order was wrong not once, but twice! The cashiers are very slow, be sure to check your receipt as you may be overcharged!

This McDonald’s is nice, clean, and organized. We came after the lunch rush and there was no line whatsoever. The ordering process went smooth, since all I wanted was a drink. The drinks are self serve which is nice. Everything was well stocked and clean.
My drink had the right amount of carbonation and syrup, making it much more enjoyable for me. I was in and out, in less then two minutes which was nice and I beat people in the drive thru.

Huh. It’s good at best, but I’ll take it since it’s the closest Mcdonalds.
For those of you that don’t know, they renovated this place a while ago (1 year ago or so?) and it looks great. Good ambiance, clean, two drive thru lanes. No complaints. And yay for free Wi-​fi!
Good customer service inside and outside in the drive thru. They make your food ridiculously fast — its great.
The bad… its open ²⁴⁄₇ but if you go at twilight hours, such as 3AM (which I sometimes do, being a UH Manoa student that commutes) you may receive bad customer service. I waited at the drive thru window for about ten minutes to receive my food once, which is crazy considering the quality of those McDonalds meals. However, as this type of service is rare, I’ll let it slide.
A couple other issues I have: You’ll need to ask for condiments, they don’t even ask you if you want any ketchup, God forbid they put it in the bag for you. Finally, the food… I mean, it’s fast, but is it that difficult to make sure that the top bun of my Fillet-​O-​Fish isn’t so skewed from the bottom bun that I need to rip it off of the melted cheese and realign it myself? It’s clearly rushed.

Very professional. I never go to fast food establishments because my order is usually prepared & presented incorrectly from what I asked for. I like how McDonald’s here in Mililani has a screen to verify the order is correct. It helps an old man, (45) like myself, see what I’ve ordered and no surprises on the other end.
The people have been, from my experience, friendly and fast. I ordered from the $ 1 menu some cheeseburgers with no catsup though a tomato for a change. Within minutes it came to me and it was perfectly what I asked for.
I would have given 5 stars, though through no fault of their own, I assume the policy is one slice of tomato if ordered on a cheeseburger. That would be acceptable, however, I was charged $ 0.50 extra on a $ 1 cheeseburger for a single slice of tomato. That’s 50% the cost for a slice of tomato. That is very unacceptable. I do not agree with that policy in the slightest. something needs to be done about this immediately or y will lose my business.

Go here if you want to wait 10 minutes + in the drive thru! And of course you’re going to get stuck either behind the van with 10 people in it or the person who waited in the drive thru with you for 10+ minutes and still didn’t have their mind made up by the time they got to the order intercom.
Whoever invented that double drive thru should be fired pronto. One lane drive thrus promote harmony, unlike the double drive thru where there’s a pushy driver in the other lane who will cut you off and try to start something.
The staff here is also incredibly intelligent and frugal. If they drop your bag of food on the ground, they will tell you it’s perfectly fine to pick it up and give it to your kids to eat.
Fail.

The only things which I look forward to from McDonald’s are (1) the taro pies and (2) the yogurt parfaits. Everything thing else is usually ordered because I had no other options for food or drink.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when the McRib made its comeback. My bf was so excited for it that I decided to see what he was raving about. All I can say is what kind of meat is that? :p Thankfully we had gotten our order to-​go and I salvaged my McRib by adding a slice of cheese to it to mask that pseudo-​meat thing known as a McRib. I think they have no choice to douse it in bbq sauce because the texture of the meat is just so wrong: p

Needless to say, I’ll be sticking to my taro pies and yogurt parfaits ;)

Wow, so this place looks way different from when I remember it (back in high school!)
For one thing, It got bigger… it now has 2 drive through lines but those merge back into one line to pay and pick up your food… Hence the 4 stars… oooh, so close!
At breakfast, I usually get the same thing: 2 sausage burrito meal with coffee (usually it’s iced vanilla). In any case. I was VERY impressed with this location’s wrapping of the burrito. The burrito was rolled tight and nothing leaked out., making a little more difficult for me to open and add my picante sauce. HOWEVER i really liked the way the burrito was wrapped.
Everything we got was EXTREMELY hot and fresh! I love when my hashbrown is über fresh!
Anyways, this is a great place to come for breakfast– Minimal line/​wait, and everything is super fresh. *love*
