Family ordered spam, eggs and rice plate, hot cakes, sausage burritos and sausage mcmuffin. We got to our destination in Wahiawa to discover they only gave us ONE set of utensils to eat with and NOSYRUPANDBUTTER for hotcakes… sad face :(for my daughter, she had to eat it plain. So please check you have all that you need BEFORE you leave drive thru. I called to complain and they offered a free hot cakes at my next visit.

When McDonald’s manager calls she should not leave it on no caller id. I don’t answer to no caller id

Mauka is always a good place to come sit down and eat. It’s newly remodeled restaurant is cozy and family friendly. Hubby and I enjoy coming here anytime of the day. The staff here is friendly and fast. Some days are slow but that comes with the nature of the business. This is a very busy location and the crew work really hard to get the customers in and out. This is Our McDonald’s so make it Your McDonald’s too. Added Bonus: They serve breakfast All Day

While this review is long overdue my opinion about this particular location has not changed. As other reviewers has mentioned, they recently went through a massive renovation to create two ordering lines. Initially I was glad because their lines were always longer than most drive thrus. However, since reopening, instead of shorter wait times it only increased. On Wednesday I was in line for 17 minutes. I don’t know about you but that is not fast food. On a positive note, the employees there are always friendly. Despite a high turnaround, everyone is friendly. The food better than most mcdonalds. Bottom line, if you come here you’ll appreciate the great service but be prepared to wait!

The renovations make it look be a new again. The new drive through area is really nice. For the most part the customer service has been great, I mean I expect that some people aren’t gonna be great at it. But thankfully I’ve received more great customer sevice than not at all. Also this new 24 hr policy makes this place a great location to get that last minute snack!!! I would definitely rate this place 5 stars however the orders still get mixed up every once in a while and sometimes workers are having a bad day.

I stood at the register for a couple minutes until some came to take my order. I ordered 20pc chicken nuggets and ice coffee. I waited another 15 minutes to get my order and only because I went to the counter and reminded them. The they tried to give me the 10pc nuggets. WTF!

They recently upgraded this location and now have a 2 ordering system drive through. Okay they couldn’t get orders correct when they only had one line and now with 2 is a major fail. Twice my order has been incorrect. When you go to the first window to pay they are guessing and ask you what you had ordered. This location needs to hire all new employees and managers.

Look at that more than 1 star! Anyone that knows or lives in the Mililani area knows that McDonalds closed for an annoyingly long amount of time, in this time the space went through a radical renovation visually. Its a very jarring change for all the fatties like me that spend a lot of time here. It’s much more modern in design now and the space seems to flow easier, just seeing it with matching furniture is odd. Anyway, it appears to me that the staff may have been retrained in that time. Service is much faster, efficient, and accurate. That’s not to say but they don’t still make mistakes, just today they messed up my friends order but they handle their screw-ups more professionally now. Since they’ve reopened I’ve witnessed a few interactions between management and very unhappy customers. Today there was a lady that apparently didn’t know that the McDouble only had one slice of cheese, she claims on the mainland they have 2… Which would just make it a double cheeseburger right? Anyway, the manager handled it very professionally. I also had a mishap where I dropped my McDonald’s mocha choca frapp a wappa whateveritscalled on the floor where it of course decided to explode. They actually made me another one for free and cleaned up the one I dropped. The food also seems to come out hotter which could be an affect of their newfound speed. I felt that given these radical changes it would be unfair to leave my one star review, they didn’t quite make it to 5 yet but hopefully things continue to improve.

The drive thru at this location is slow. It hasn’t been open because of renovations. No ice cream for months. And on not just 1BUT2 occasions I have been given a sandwich with no meat patty on it. The first time, I ordered a sausage mcgriddle and added cheese-my favorite. I open it up as I drive down the road in a hurry after waiting in a ridiculously slow drive thru line to find two pieces of mcgriddle bread and a slice of cheese. News flash McDonald! People are busy in the morning! I didn’t have time to turn around for a sausage patty but you ruined my breakfast. Then, on a later occasion, my husband was given a cheeseburger without the burger. Like… seriously? Your employees can’t get it together enough to even make the full sandwich? Unfortunately, I will be back here again as it’s the only fast food drive thru on my way to the highway and I’m a busy person who doesn’t always have time to feed myself something healthy. Hopefully they retrain their staff after this renovation they’ve done.

Usually go thru the drive thru but it was quite long today so went inside instead. Wow, lots of people waiting. It took quite a while for my order to come up(20+ min) and others were waiting as well. The employees were having a tough time keeping up but never showed any frustration. The manager was very good — she temporarily closed the drive thru to give her workers a fighting chance at serving the customers with quality. She also refunded customers who were waiting a long time, including me. She did this all with a sincere apology. I applaud their effort and actions during what must have been a very stressful situation.

Yes, like most normal people, I do tend to have a craving for McDonald’s, other than for breakfast. But let me give you a WARNING!, It’s best to ask for your fries with NOSALT! I promise you, the salt on the fries are RIDICULOUS! VERYVERYSALTY! And it has been this way for the past 15+ years that I have been coming here consistently ridiculously salty. But once you get your fries with no salt, everything is perfect. I do come here a lot but mostly for breakfast. As for the workers, they are always so pleasant. They are currently remodeling the restaurant and drive thru… should be interesting.

Decided to come n check out the new renovation. The inside was empty, its was just the 3 of us. The place smells of fresh paint n new furniture:)).I like the setting of the place. Although I miss seeing Ronald McDonald, its a nice renovation. The sad thing is that all McDonalds are leaning more towards the fancy dining setting at a fast food place and have taken away the whole meaning behinf McDonalds(Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Hamburgerler(sp)).But overall the new renovated McDonalds is pretty:))

The whole area is tight because of the other food businesses that are there. Don’t know who the architect is but it’s really poor planning.

What can I say… its McDonald’s! They have some good stuff and some not so good stuff. The thing you can’t beat is the convenience of the place with 24 hour drive through. Now they serve breakfast all day.

It’s McDonalds. Food is okay, prices are okay, employees are always nice and respectful. Dining area is always clean. Plenty of parking and orders are filed pretty quickly. Never had a bad experience here.

My car broke so I asked my hubby to buy me icecream… Lol. He wanted french fries, so we decided to go to McD! Waiting in drive thru line, my husband says, if I have to repeat my order, I’m going to snap! Lol!(Past Taco Bell experience). We order our icecream cones and small fries… No repeating of our order! Wow! Get to the cashier… Friendly! Double wow! Pick up our food and this cute cashier was so friendly! She gave us our perfectly made cones and said, wait, let me get you some extra napkins! She was so friendly and just so cute! And she was smiling! Smiling like she wanted to be there and loved her job! Awesome! We both said thank you to her and I even waved! Lol! Great experience. I know it’s hit or miss at Mauka McD but this is definitely a HIT!

I’m not embarrassed to admit that I love McDonald’s french fries and breakfast items. On those days when I just don’t feel like cooking, McDs has always been there with open arms. This location, however, has been consistently inadequate with their service and food preparation. Painfully slow in the drive-thru and most recently my Portuguese sausage platter was terrible. How can you screw up sausage and eggs? Well, the sausage was jerky-like…unpleasant to eat, and the eggs were quite runny. Another time, fries were brown and stale, after waiting 10 minutes in the drive-thru. Eek! I know for a fact that McDs created a fool-proof system which requires one to insert ingredients into a cooking vessel, and push a few buttons to produce any given item. Once you hear the beep, presto! The food is pau. Not too complicated, unless you can’t read or push buttons, you should catch on fairly quick. Which makes me wonder if this is the case with the workers here… or if they’re just plain olé lazy! Seems like the staff freak out during rush hours, but they move with no sense of urgency. Anyway, what a bummer that this location can’t get it together. Very disappointing. Won’t be visiting anytime soon…
