I have been to this location twice now and both times received the most horrid customer service one can imagine. The first time I ate here I asked for an untoasted bun. That seemed to offend the owner and she toasted the bun anyway. No big deal, whatever. I still ate the hotdog. The second time I couldn’t remember if they took credit cards or not. I simply asked the owner if it was a cash only business. She was very rude with her response that they do not take cards and then she and another older woman laughed at me. I am disgusted that a place like this can stay in business. Why would you make fun of your customers? In 2015 all you need is a smart phone to be able to accept credit cards. It’s not that crazy to believe that they would. Who even carries cash anymore? Her hotdogs are average at best and not worth the headache of having to deal with such a miserable old witch.

«VERYRUDE» is an understatement. My guess is the only reason this place stays in business is because unsuspecting travelers(like us) decide to pull off for a quick bite. Based on the other reviews(that I wish I had read before making the fateful decision to stop), I’m guessing the total B behind the counter was the owner because I can’t EVER remember anyone being so incredibly rude to a paying customer in my entire life. Hey, lady, don’t take it out on your customers if you hate your life. Do the roadside hot dog business a favor and try something better suited to your personality … I hear WWE is looking for charmers JUSTLIKEYOU.

Stopped by while passing through to get a hot dog. Ordered two plain dogs. They were cold. When I took them back to the guy he freaked out. He refused to make me two more COOKED hot dogs and told me to leave. Then he got out of his shack and took garbage out of the garbage can and brought it to our car that my wife had thrown away and told us to leave and never come back. All in front of my 9 year old daughter. I think he was mad because I had commented about FLOs hot dog stand in Maine to another customer. He kept saying«Take it to FLOs!». FLOs is over an hour away, they are not competition for this guy! Also, I doubt that he washed his hands after rummaging through the garbage to give us our trash back and I noticed he handles the food without gloves. Think about it… This guy has issues. Clearly. Oh, also as we were pulling out he took PICTURES of our car. Creepy! He was so mean I decided to change my name on my Unilocal account. Yep, he was that freaky.

DONOTCOMEHERE. My boyfriend and I came here today– HORRIBLEEXPERIENCE. The owner was working behind the counter. VERYRUDE. My chili-cheese dog was soggy and repulsive. The owner then made us LEAVE after purchasing our food because I was drinking a Dunkin Donuts ice coffee! TERRIBLESERVICE, TERRIBLEFOOD.

The Dog House is a little hot dog stand located on NH Route 101, just east of the Irving Circle K station in Milford. I enjoy hot dogs, especially at roadside stands, which are inexpensive, filling, and quick. This is one of three little hot dog stands on NH Route 101 between Keene and Milford that I’ve visited for lunch and all are located on the south side of the road(eastbound direction). The sign out in front states Grilled Regular Dog and Drink $ 1.00. However, the sign should be updated since the prices are actually slightly higher at $ 1.10(plus tax) each for a basic regular hot dog and drink prices are $ 1.05-$ 2.25. A 10″ hot dog and 12″ hot dog are $ 2.20& $ 2.65 respectively. Other than the basic self serve toppings(ketchup, mustard, & relish), other toppings such as chili, kraut. cheese, bacos, cole slaw &BBQ sauce are extra charge(prices are not posted), so be aware. They use Schonland’s(Kayem) hot dogs. Besides the standard hot dogs, they also serve jumbo kosher hot dogs, buffalo dogs, veggie dogs, bratwurst, kielbasa, a variety of burgers(including buffalom ostrich, venison, salmon, veggie, chicken, turkey, hamburg, chsburg), Cape Cod chips, soups, chowders, baked beans, and homemade desserts(cookies, brownies, macaroons) and Cool Dogs. The prices are not posted for the preceding items, which leaves me as a customer wondering??? I enjoy the hot dogs here and I totally agree with another reviewer that the grilled homemade hot dog bun is the«star of the show.» The hot dog is good, but that grilled hot dog bun ROCKS!!! The New England style hot dog bun is grilled very warm to perfection, slight crisp on the outside and soft inside with a nice buttery taste, one of the best touches to a hot dog! There’s also picnic table seating for Dog House customers on the property.

The first and last thing I’ll say about The Dog House is get the homemade hotdog bun. I stopped by The Dog House with a friend because we needed a fast lunch and a dog friendly place. Since the seating is outdoors, The Dog House fit the bill. As far as atmosphere, it’s just a little shack on the side of the highway. But it was definitely worth the stop. I got the hotdog with sauerkraut on the homemade bun. It was absolutely delicious. The hotdog was fresh and firm. And the bun, the real star of the show, was warm, buttery and hands down the best hotdog bun I’ve ever had. When you order, they ask you if you want the homemade bun or the regular bun, the homemade bun being extra. As I said in the beginning, definitely get the homemade bun. It’s what makes it worth the trip.

I want to say that the food is good quality and that there is variety. I am very put off by the price. from the road the hot dogs are advertized as being a dollar. They are not, they are 1.10 .They charged me for condiments 40 cents per. I got 4 hot dogs with chili, cheese and saurkaut, 2 drinks and 3 oz of coleslaw. I was shocked to get a bill for 17.00 dollars ! Good heavans avoid this place if you are feeding a family. Its quite literally high way robbery
